Foreign candies and a German mouth

Hello world! I really enjoy international sweets and whenever I get to try some, I will share my opinon. I will also share my national sweets with you but those aren't a priority. Let's enjoy sweets together!

Name: Morinaga Bake - Matcha Origin: Japan Type: Baked chocolate Obtained: via Candysan Price: 1,03€ What I can say about this candy:

This chocolate is something else! It is super soft with a slightly crunchy coat. The green tea makes it seem bitter at first but after a while, you'll get the sweetness behind it. It's a wonderful blend of tea with just a hint of white chocolate! This chocolate won't melt, it's a perfect summer snack. Rated:  8/10 - The flavor is something to get used to! Recommendation: I feel like you would enjoy this chocolate if you enjoy dark chocolate, only in a very soft form! It's not very sweet but just the right amount.

Name: Watapachi Grape Origin: Japan Type: Cotton candy + hard candy Obtained: via Candysan Price: 0,65€ What I can say about this candy:

I picked this candy on a whim because it was recommended to me as one of Candysans "most popular" products. It is cheap, so why not!

The texture is definitely that of a more solid cotton candy treat, it was partially sticky on my fingers. When you bite into this, you will have the cotton parts melt off, only to reveal some type of hard candy inside. The hard candy could be compared to pop rocks, it starts crackling and sizzling on your tongue almost immidiately! It's melting from sweet right into sour.

The flavor is very strong! It reminded me more of blueberry than grape but it is definitely something. I see where especially little kids would have their fun with this type of candy! Rated: 7/10 - Flavor explosion with an interesting texture. I wouldn't repurchase it but it sure was fun! Recommendation: If you're looking to get a FUN and inexpensive candy, this is for you! The size is pretty decent and you get what you pay for. The flavor is extremely strong, so be aware of that. Super fun for kids!

Name: Calbee Jagariko - Butter flavor Origin: Japan Type: Crunchy potato snack Obtained: via Candysan Price: 1,09€ What I can say about this candy:

The first bite I took into these sticks reminded me of my grandmas buttery Christmas cookies. The more I chew, the more potato flavor unfolded. By the time I finished the first stick, I was definitely reminded of grilled potato with sweet butter on top. Delicious! I have had quite a few potato-type sticks in my life but nothing quite like these. The flavor is rich, sweet and salty at the same time. There are a lot of different flavors too, I am curious to try more in the future! Rated:  7/10 - Rich flavor, nothing too out of the ordinary. Recommendation: Yeah, sure, why not! I don't think you can go wrong with this if you're into salty snacks and chips. The butter potato flavor is pretty interesting but I feel like I want to explore more unusual flavors!

I did make some Hello Kitty muffins, using this super cute little bake mix and decor. I am baking a lot recently but I don't want to spam you with that.

Name: Corny - nussvoll Origin: Germany Type: cereal bar Obtained: local store - REWE Price: 1.39€ - discounted What I can say about this candy:

Finally, another German candy! My favorite snack at work are cereal bars, hands down. We don't have to kid ourselves though, they aren't -that- healthy but delicious nevertheless!

Corny came out with this new nutty bar over here in Germany and I am loving it! The one I am trying at the moment has almonds and white chocolate in it - yum! It also claims that over 50% of the bar are nuts/almonds!

The first thing I noticed was the very very sweet taste and sticky nature. These bars are way more sticky than the regular Corny's. Once you start munching on the almonds, you get that typical delicious taste in your mouth though. The white chocolate is a very nice addition and melts in between the nuts. Rated:  8/10 - Very good flavor mix! But a little too sweet... Recommendation: If you love nuts and almonds as much as I do, yes! More suitable for people with a very sweet tooth though.

Name: Kit Kat Green Tea Matcha Origin: Japan Type: chocolate bar Obtained: sent to me by a friend who visited Japan Price: N/A - gift What I can say about this candy:

Oh my lord! Praise the heavens, once again! I am a big fan of the regular Kit Kat already but matcha flavor? Epiphany!

The bar itself is made of a white type of chocolate but mixed with the green tea matcha flavor. It's a tiny bit bitter but mixes with the white chocolate so well! The crunchy bits are mixed with matcha flavor as well, so you get an all around delicious green tea and white chocolate sensation in your mouth.

I wish the package would have been bigger! Rated:  10/10 - Best Kit Kat in existence. Recommendation: Yes, please! I know it is hard to come around Matcha Kit Kat, as it is always sold out in online stores, but if you get the chance, grab as many as you can.

Name: Lotte Fit's Peach Mix and Magiq Mix 7+1 Origin: Japan Type: bubblegum Obtained: sent to me by a friend who visited Japan Price: N/A - gift What I can say about this candy:

Now, I think Lotte and especially Fit's is quite popular for their goofy little dance ads on Japanese TV. They also advertise that Fit's gum, even though the pieces are tiny, has the most long lasting flavor. I have tried a couple of different Fit's flavors and while they do last pretty long, it's not above average really.

My friend, while in Japan, picked these two flavors for me to try, knowing that I didn't have them already. Let's start with Peach mix! The flavor is, as you might have guessed, very peachy. You can also make out some cherry and strawberry, the longer the chew on it. The gum has little hard candy balls in it, that release more flavor, once you chew on them. Alltogether, the gum is very very sweet and I prefer my chewing gum to be slightly more refreshing.

The Magiq 7+1 flavor is very hard to describe. It's a mix of a typical sweet chewing gum flavor and fruits. It, as well, is very very sweet. It is sprinkled with little rainbow colored hard candy balls that release different types of flavors. After chewing the  Magiq gums for a while, they can develope a pretty bitter aftertaste. Rated:  7/10 - I love Fit's for being Fit's but these weren't my most favorite flavors. Recommendation: Only if you have a really sweet tooth and enjoy sweet chewing gum. The flavor is very richt after all.

This, this right here is my favorite Puccho candy! It is their Ramune flavored chewing candy! Ramune is a very curious type of Japanese soda and has such a distinct taste!

Now, what makes this candy so special? Simple, the sherbert powder bits! It feels like you are actually having the soda bubble up in your mouth. The little gel balls explode with flavor. This is my absolute favorite thing! Rated:  10/10 - Perfect chewing candy. Recommendation: Yes, absolutely! Everyone should have tasted this at least once.

Name: Puccho Ultra Miracle Fruit Candy Grab Bag Origin: Japan Type: soft chewing candy with gel and sherbert powder balls Obtained: sent to me by a friend who visited Japan Price: N/A - gift What I can say about this candy:

I LOVE Puccho candy. I had a couple of them before and the way they break their candy down is just heavenly. The main part is a soft chewing candy. Inside they have gel-like balls and pressed sherbert-powder balls. It is such a sensation in your mouth! The powder prickles a little and makes the flavor even richer.

This was a multi-fruit bag and it tasted very tropical! Little fruit explosions in my mouth. You can't just have one of these! Rated:  9/10 - Super fruity! Recommendation: Absolutely! There are better Puccho products for me but then again, all Puccho products are good products, so what the hell!

I love me some salty chips snacks!

Cheetohs have the most delicious flavor that I have ever tasted. There is nothing comparable in Germany! The consistency if the crunch reminds me of peanut puffs but he FLAVOR is all kind of delicious cheese.

The only annoying thing is when the orange cheese coating rubs off on your fingers and you're unable to touch anything, unless you wipe them.

Nevertheless, super delicious and I crave more! Rated:  9/10 - Most delicious flavor. Recommendation: Absolutely! You have to try these, find a way!

Name: Willy Wonka - Golden Egg (Easter Variety) Origin: America Type: various candy Obtained: sent by my lovely friend, Robyn Price: N/A - gift What I can say about this candy:

There were three types of candy inside the eggs, in different flavors and varieties but let's break them down!

Nerds - Very tiny little sugary balls that had all sorts of fruity flavors. It was kind of hard to chew these as the candy balls were ridiculously tiny. The only thing solving the problem was chugging down the whole package of them. The flavors varied from sweet to sour but all of them were fruity.

Sweet Tarts - Simply, fruity candy! When you start to chew them, they become some sort of powder, almost like a sherbert powder. Very rich in flavor. Not my favorite but the tiny samples were enjoyable!

Laffy Taffy -  Super delicious! These are a very soft chewy candy, almost creamy! In this package, I got the flavors Banana and Strawberry. The chewing candy tasted almost milky and very good. My favorite treats from the bag!                                                                                               Rated:  7/10 - The samples were too tiny to chew at times. Recommendation: It's a fun little easter treat for kids! If you want to do something special, go for it.

Hershey's Kisses were a nice little treat. The caramel inside is nice and liquidy. The chocolate almost melts in your mouth (or in your hand, if you hold it for too long...). Hershey's isn't my favorite chocolate after trying a couple of their treats, but their Kisses are well worth a try. Rated:  6/10 -  A nice caramel treat. Recommendation: Only if you are into caramel treats. Not worth it for the chocolate.
