Hey so you can just delete this ask if you don’t want to answer, but I also make stimboards (mine are on tiktok) but I have fallen in love with how you do your stimboards! They’re so mwah! Anyway, I wanted to ask how exactly you make your stimboards? Again, you don’t have to share, but if you wouldn’t mind it would help me a lot :3

Thank you!! I'd LOVE to share! So, no matter which one of us is making a board, we use the same process. We find gifs here on Tumblr that match the subject, and whenever we download a gif, we like the post to come back and get the link later. We usually download more gifs than we'd need so there are extra options to switch around. Then once we have enough gifs, we arrange the post with 8 gifs around a picture of the subject. The text is like this:

Biggest for the title

Regular text size, three emojis in a checkerboard pattern with the blank Unicode symbol to prevent resizing:

Each emoji gets a link to the gif, but the center only has a link if the picture is a picrew or someone's art

And now for the tagging system:

cws and tws are always first, a common example is "cw hands" and "hands cw"

then "stimboard" and "stimboards" are next, for general outreach

after that are topic tags! they're not always used, but some examples we've used are "pokemon penny" and "wolf therian"

next up is mod tags! for example, this post is from mod 🐺 so that tag will be on it

and finally, an event tag if needed, for example mod posts get "event: meet the mods"
