• “You turned out to be quite useful” proves that Shiro was not only a pawn to the Galra, but the blades too. Which then extends to include him being a pawn to the revolution.

• The black lion moving away from it’s bond with Shiro almost immediately proves that he was a pawn to Voltron, too.

• The Garrison were using Shiro as a pawn when he was their poster boy. He was the inspiration to convince young men and women to join the air force.

• He was CLONED to be used as a pawn.

• The black lion kept him for the purpose of ratting out that clone.

Shiro is so godamn tired of serving one, and the same purpose to every institution he’s even been to, and colleagues he’s ever met.

No matter how important he becomes, what level of universal fame he rises to, Shiro IS just another front-line soldier

Shiro, who was more like Lance as a kid, lets Adam grow on him the longer they live together. Shiro, who handles every dispute between the paladins in the same way Adam would teach. Shiro, who ultimately misses Adam even if he’s with Curtis, because the Adam in him is slowly fading. Shiro, who begins to act more like Curtis. Shiro who misses his old self.

What if Shiro was being force-fed quintessence from Galran traitors to the empire and that’s why his hair is white in the perfect spot (I know it’s a reach but still)

Yo so this made me think of a theory and it's a stretch but bare with me here;

What if quintessence affects its users or whoever comes in contact with it, age quicker (physically only)? That would explain Shiro's white hair (taking in account the theory I've reblogged from @ felixfyckface here) Onerva's (Hagger's) hag-like features after basically jumping into the concentrated source. Also, Lotor's face wasn't shown after his 'death' in the quintessence field, so what if the deadly threat quintessence had upon living organisms is actually just making them age faster physically, and killing them by speeding up their natural life span?

That would mean the more concentrated the quintessence is, the more would be its strength and would explain why Lotor basically instantly dies while Onerva, Alfor and Zarkon went on years living in close proximity without extreme effects. (So it would contradict the theory of quintessence being radioactive or something)

But hey, that's just a theory! A quintessence theory.
