„…And Aragorn gave it a new name and called it Andúril, Flame of the West!“

THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS (2002) dir. peter jackson
"Elrond knew all about runes of every kind. That day he looked at the swords they had brought from the trolls' lair, and he said: 'These are not troll-make. They are old swords, very old swords of the High Elves of the West, my kin. They were made in Gondolin for the Goblin-wars. They must have come from a dragon's hoard or goblin plunder, for dragons and goblins destroyed that city many ages ago'.."
Chapter 3, A Short Rest. "The Hobbit" by J.R.R. Tolkien
Elrond's outfit is based off of a melange of ancient dress, most notably Assyrian, with some medieval dagging in there to evoke the shape of leaves. Gandalf is based largely on the Quechua people who inhabit the Andean region of South America with some Viking touches here and there.
My absolute favorite trope in LOTR parodies is giving Frodo - because of Elijah Wood - the most gigantic, huge, absolute bluest eyes possible. I love it when the little guy is 80% eyes
"why did the ring mostly affect frodo and not bilbo who had it for a gazillion years" objectively has a textual answer but i think the best answer is that sauron just likes bilbo more than frodo
bilbo: *uses the ring to hide from his relatives*
sauron, remembering almaren: yknow. real.
"Grave and thoughtful was her glance, as she looked on the king with cool pity in her eyes. Very fair was her face, and her long hair was like a river of gold. Slender and tall she was in her white robe girt with silver; but strong she seemed and stern as steel, a daughter of kings."
—The Two Towers (Ch. 6 - The King of the Golden Hall) by J. R. R. Tolkien
l·o·v·e [luhv] - noun a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.

This might be one of the most epic things I've ever heard. Do yourself a favor and listen to this brilliant performance of the Oath of Feanor in Quenya. You will not make it through without chills, I promise.
The Sword of Elendil was forged anew by Elvish smiths, and on its blade was traced a device of seven stars set between the crescent Moon and the rayed Sun, and about them was written many runes; for Aragorn son of Arathorn was going to war upon the marches of Mordor.

Never forget that it took Éowyn 2 seconds to recognize Faramir’s worth upon meeting him. I could go on and on about how he’s the first person outside her family to truly and completely respect her but it goes both ways! Denethor never ever saw Faramir’s worth in all his lifetime, but Éowyn took ONE look at him and was like “wow he’s great.” They’re BOTH so GOOD for each other!!
