I love your works! If you ever have the time, can you make a little tutorial on how you paint?

I could record a real-time painting demo during the summer! But it probably wouldn’t be a real tutorial because I’m honestly really bad at explaining things.

Do you have any specific fancast in mind for Melkor and Mairon?

Honestly I didn’t really have any specific fancast in mind when I drew them, I try not to lock myself too much into real actors/people because I don’t want to limit how I imagine the characters.

but if I had to pick, I’d say Peter Steele is pretty close to how I imagine Melkor, and Nicole Kidman weirdly matches the vibe I have for Mairon lol

okay but in my headcanon Annatar has platinum hair while Mairon has lava-red hair. like Annatar is serving ethereal angelic deception but the real guy looks like he crawled straight out of a volcano.

Mairon is so fun to draw because he can be elegant and theatrical and completely insufferable at the same time 😭 like he just dramatically appears and expects everyone to admire him immediately.

That pre-fall Mairon illustration is so gorgeous! It really reminds me of the very best illustrations in children’s books I had when I was little, just really elegant and whimsical and light, which feels so perfect for him when he was innocent. It makes me want to learn how to draw!

I’m definitely a soft-looking Mairon truther… it’s really interesting to draw a character who becomes a villain in a gentle, almost innocent way. There’s something really compelling about that contrast
