Articles Recap Sneakers Expo
Today is your last chance to catch the surprisingly discreet yet impressive and eclectic sneaker exhibition at Paris's Credit Municipal.
If you live in Paris (or not) and you're a sneaker-head, -addict, -fanatic, -enthousiast, or whatever else you lie to be called, you probably didn't miss this very worthwile event. If you did, then you lost the chance to see a table laced with a few hundred thousand euros worth of sneakers right before your eyes (ie OG AM1 and Air Jordans, Eminem Jordan 2/4's, UNDFTD Jordan 4s, Oregon Ducks Jordan 3/4/5s, Red October Yeezys, Galaxy and Kryptonite Foams and more below...). Pairs you only dreamed of and a real treat for your eyes.
Besides a decent all-around history of how sneakers came about our society and brands buit their legacy, this exhibit had a lot on offer. It combined impressive contributions from collectors (see above) with astonishing custom models and works of art giving a new sense and use to our beloved classic sneakers.

When sneakers and culture/religion meet, the result is a pair of AF1s made with pieces of a muslim prayer mat (see above).
Obviously what Nike kicks would have looked like in the Middle Ages...
This one probably made us have second thoughts about what we spend hundreds of dollars for.
But this was also the opportunity to see iconic models in real life such as autographed Run DMC Adidas Superstars or a pair of LA Gear's from Michael Jackson’s BAD tour!
All in all, the exhibit has something for everyone, from the art-savvy to hardcore sneaker fans, but most importantly the curious. It's an opportunity to discover, revisit, admire and dream. Which is precisely what sneakers are about...
