THE RED STRING OF FATE

According to this myth, the gods tie an invisible red cord around the ankles of those that are destined to meet one another in a certain situation or help each other in a certain way. Often, in Japanese culture, it is thought to be tied around the little finger. According to Chinese legend, the deity in charge of “the red thread” is believed to be Yue Xia Lao (月下老), the old lunar matchmaker god, who is in charge of marriages.

The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of place, time, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break. This myth is similar to the Western concept of soulmate or a destined flame.

so ive made a new blog ( gladiatxrs ) that will be less fandom orientated, but not completely void of the odd the fandom post, mostly bc lately fandoms have been So Tiring and i just dont have the energy to deal with half the things i see on my dash tbh so this new blog, as ive said, will be less fandom and more photos and quotes and poetry and stuff

im not gna say that im moving from here bc idk if i will yet but from now on i’ll be posting on here from my laptop - so it’ll be less frequent.

obvs if we’re friends and long term mutuals i’ll follow u on the new blog regardless - whether or not u wna follow back is up to u tbh
