Born and raised in NYC to an alcoholic father and drug taking mother. Dante learned from a young age that life wasn't fair nor was it sunshine and rainbows. It was a fight from the day he was born as he had drugs in his system due to his mother not being able to stay clean despite being pregnant. Growing up Dante was bullied both at home and at school because he was poor; parents using whatever money they had to buy drugs and alcohol instead of trying to do better for their child.
Dante ended up hanging out with the wrong crowd, arrested multiple times and instead of ending up in juvenile prison he was given the choice to join the military which he took the first chance he got; anything was better than prison right?
His time in the military changed him. The horrors of the world phased him less and less to the point his military brothers gave him the nickname of 'souless' due to him being so cold hearted and shut down. It wasn't until he met his now ex wife after his final tour of duty that he actually let someone in; she awakened the human side of him that he'd locked away and he loved her immensely for that. His PTSD made their marriage difficult especially towards the end of it where he once again shut everyone out.
To say Dante was out of his element would be an understatement. The usually stoic man felt restless and like a fish out of water as his gaze watched the brightly lit ferris wheel as it spun with various occupants who enjoyed the ride. Despite this trip being one to relax and have fun he'd already clocked where all the exits were, possible hiding spots and potential risks; it was hard to turn off security mode. The older man decided to take the risk and step in line for said ferris wheel - it had been a fair few years since the last time he'd actually ridden one, he just hoped whoever joined him was a decent human being and for the love of god don't let it be someone with an unruly child.
"My apologies, it's a name for those that are rowdy, loud etc. I basically mean did you come here with the others?" He corrected. Outside of work/AEW Dante didn't really know much about other wrestlers from other companies and that was just him being ignorant; he did keep meaning to check other wrestling companies but with having barely anytime it was a struggle. "Where are you from?" He asked as the wheel slowly moved. He genuinely was curious, it was the always curious side of him that enjoyed learning about people, history and the like.
Dante can 100% keep a secret if you ask him to. He'll take it to the grave if needed.
2. Is your muse skilled at using technology?
To a degree yes. He's a typical old man though and prefers old school ways such as writing things down etc.
3. How skilled is your muse with communication?
Very skilled. He works security and having high communication skills is a must for his line of work and to keep people organised, informed and keeping events and people safe.
4. Who would your muse consider as their best friend?
Currently he doesn't have anyone that counts as a best friend. He has a couple of close friends but none that he classes as a best friend.
5. Are there any fears your muse holds from childhood?
From childhood no.
6. What is something that ticks your muse off, no matter what?
Lying. He cannot stand liars or those that fake being a part of the military.
7. What clothes does your muse feel more comfortable in?
An old shirt and baggy pants to lounge around in for the most part. Otherwise being nude is how he usually rolls at home - he enjoys nude yoga in the mornings.
8. How many fights has your muse been a part of? How did they fare?
Alot. Having been in the military he's taken many lives because that was what he'd been trained for but physical fights have occurred in his lifetime that he's luckily come out on top but there's been a select few that have left him licking his wounds.
9. Does your muse have any nervous habits?
His fingers twitch when anxiety starts but for the most part he doesn't.
10. How often does your muse find themselves daydreaming? What about?
He has PTSD so he tries to limit any day dreaming as it tends to trigger panic attacks.
11. How often does your muse cry? Do they cry silently, privately or out in the open?
He's not afraid to cry in front of an audience if that's the situation but mostly he keeps that to privacy of his home.
12. What is a lesson your muses parents/guardians taught them that they still hold onto?
Life is tough but you're tougher. His parents taught him that life is unfair and it's tough so you've got to be tougher.
13. Is your muse proficient at any musical instruments? How long did it take them to learn?
A guitar and that was self taught during his time away in Afghanistan.
14. Does your muse prefer cooler or warmer weather? How does the heat/cold affect them?
A mixture of somewhere in between. Too hot causes his prosthetic to rub and chafe and too cold makes him far too stiff to function.
15. Does your muse know how to cook? What is the most complicated dish they know how to make?
He does. Again, he is self taught from a very young age and it's something that came in handy when MREs weren't the best whilst on tours away. The most complicated dish for him is a beef wellington.
16. Is your muse argumentative? If not, what is a topic they feel strongly enough to argue for?
Not particularly. Liars and fake pretentious people that he knows are fake and lying tend to rub him the wrong way. He'll always defend better benefits for Vets no matter what. Talk smack about the military and you'll hear about it.
