Reasons Role Players Abandon Their Blogs:

They get ignored, feel unwanted or easily replaceable.      – Insecurities have a way with getting the best of us. In a community where muns are dropped because real life restricts their time online, or someone else replies more quickly, it’s easy to feel like you don’t matter… Especially if you’re one of the blogs being dropped as though you’re nothing more than a reply generator. 

They feel like you’re only writing with them for their muse / that they’re part of a collection.      – Admit it, we all have our favorite face claims / characters that we want interactions with, but there’s a difference between loving a face claim or character, and collecting them like pokemon. No, kids… You really don’t have to catch them all. In fact, a lot of people get turned off and feel like they mean less to you because you have so many of the same muse writing with you, and definitely if all of your threads / interactions become too similar. 

They feel like you only want their muse for smut purposes.       – Who doesn’t love a good smut thread? Some people write only smut, and that’s fine, but there are some that don’t take their partner’s feelings into consideration. If you want to write smut, or do nothing but shippy things, that’s great. You do you and have fun. But some people don’t like when they’ve been hounded for smut over and over. Please be respectful of this fact.

“I’ll follow you/write with you everywhere!” except for that blog…      – We’ve all heard this from people that offer praise from time to time. I’ll write with every muse you’ve got! (until you slap a self promo on the dash for that female muse, that other-fandom muse or an oc you’ve poured your heart into… Then when you get excited about said muse, they lie to you with “I didn’t know that was you!” as though they’d missed the 30 self reblogs of that promo you made for your new muse. 

Too many ‘tell me you like me’ memes reblogged, but not sent in.      – As much as we all hate feeling like nothing more than a meme archive, these are the worst memes to get swiped from your blog, only to receive nothing in your inbox. It wouldn’t kill you to send in the symbol or a little bit of something to make someone feel good. You’re following them for a reason, aren’t you? Tell them that!

They get ignored out of character simply because they aren’t sending constant replies, memes, etc.      – People seem to think that, if you aren’t keeping their muse entertained, you aren’t worth talking to as a person. You see them on the dash talking about having no one, about needing attention, and you think ‘then… what am I to them?’ Just because your partner isn’t clinging to your muse and making you their top priority doesn’t mean you can’t talk to them out of character, that you can’t plot with the other muses they have so you’re interacting, no matter which blog either of you are on. There are people behind these blogs. Living, breathing people that - if they liked you on one blog, they should like you on another. Stop treating them like only your favorite muse of theirs matters – not the writer behind it.

Sometimes it pays off to send a little random love and positivity to people. You never know when someone could be seconds away from never signing on again. Tell your partners what a great job they’re doing, that you appreciate them as a mun and as an rp partner, and that you value their attention and interactions. It only takes a few seconds to share a few nice words and let someone know that they mean something.

Drake lept up a slight bit, hanging in the air as rubbed where his ass got slapped. “H-Hyde?!” Drake stuttered, seeing his “well-meaning friend.” His cheeks went from a light tan to a bright red as he could hardly contain his embarrassment. It was odd seeing this come from Hyde. He never expected her to be the type to enjoy practical jokes. Unless this is some kind of “kinky” thing which he could imagine. “G-Geez Hyde, a little softer next time. N-NOT that i’m asking f-for a n-next time!!”

The scent of alcohol lingered in the air surrounding the two, and as Drake started to recover from the sudden assault to his rear, a sudden sound came from hydes mouth it was quiet, yet, ever so eerie at the same time…“ Kekekeke~ ”

with what little bit of shadow covering the giantess face the only thing the young man could notice was the sudden appearance of an unsettling smile now adorning Lux’s face and as she looked at him with a creepy look of amusement the giantess spoke with a noticeable slur to her voice…” Ah, Guessss~ I don’t know my own strength somtimes~ ” suddenly planting her hand a little bit too heavily on to Drake’s head in a mock sense of petting the giantess spoke again in a quiet voice…” Keke~ My bad~ “

“O-Oh, L-Lux! It’s only you…” Drake said relieved. Drake did enjoy being out at night, but it would be a lie if he said that it didn’t make a bit jumpy. “Ya never know what kind of weirdos are walking around at night. We should probably head back to the harbor soon…”

“Drake...” The giantess said in greeting as they approached the young dragon, coming to a standstill once they reached his side now turning their attention to examine the obsidian knife they were currently holding, after getting rid of the blood that was on it they returned it back to the knife holster that was strapped to their thigh shortly afterwards they returned their gaze to the young male as he spoke. “ Mmm, alright...If any weirdos come across our path I’ll be sure to dispose of them...” Their eye glowing a bit at the mention of getting to end someone's life...

“Oh…that’s….g-greeeat” Drake said nervously, as he was a bit unsettled by Lux’s promise. The strategist did feel bad to say so, but he was a bit intimidated around Lux. Maybe it was the combination of her much larger size, the vicious reputation of the pirate crew she was apart of, and her seemingly violent tendencies that bubbled to the surface on occasion. He probably shouldn’t ask what Lux was doing before he ran into her. 

“Y-You look g-good, Lux. Is that c-corset, new?” He asked politely as they began walking in the direction of the harbor. He tried to avoid glancing over at her cleavage, flustering the dragon a bit. Even her outfit had this aura of intimidation to it, which Drake couldn’t help but admire.

Crimson orbs locked on to the figure next to them, Lux couldn’t help the narrowing of their eye when they heard Drake stutter...

They weren’t a fool. Lux knew that all too obvious nervous behavior too well, The little dragon was intimidated by them...Honestly, they couldn't really blame him due to their previous encounters Lux was very aware of the fact that they are quite intimidating to others.

Eyebrows slightly lifting in question at the sudden compliment the boy directed at them, being complimented would always be such a strange and foreign feeling to the giantess especially if it’s about their looks...Turning their gaze away from the smaller male Lux decided to answer Drake's question in hopes that it’ll rid them of the uncomfortable feeling that took root...” It is not...” They said in their usual emotionless voice.

 After a few minutes had ticked by, Lux decided to speak once again returning their gaze back to the male as they said in a low voice...” There is no need to be so nervous whenever I’m near Drake...If I wanted you dead, we wouldn’t be having this conversation...” The slightest glint now faintly shining in their eye.
