soon, the constant “Yes or no?” started to get tiring with its endless repetition, at least when all they want is to touch. Neil comes up behind Andrew while he’s cooking and tugs lightly at the hem of his t-shirt, a quiet way of saying I’m here. I’m close. I want something. Andrew’s only response is a small shift backward, into Neil’s space — not enough to fully lean against his chest, but enough to show he’s not objecting. so Neil rests a hand on Andrew’s waist and pulls them closer, settling his chin on Andrew’s shoulder. after a while, even that isn’t enough. Neil’s arms slide all the way around his waist, his face tucking into the curve of Andrew’s neck. he shifts slightly, one hand moving to Andrew’s stomach, searching for that one perfect spot and when he finds it, he lets out a quiet, warm sigh against his skin.

note: the only reason Andrew is eventually released from that quiet captivity is because dinner still isn’t finished, and having Neil trail after him everywhere, practically stepping on his heels, wouldn’t exactly help. (Neil would agree with that. Andrew wouldn’t.)
