I appreciate the sentiment but I don't get all those "we made it to the longest night of the year! the light will start returning soon! it's all uphill from here & we're halfway there!" posts because like. Oct-Dec is the easier half of Winter. Jan-Apr is way harder. there's no big holidays or decorations, everyone is kind of over the whole Cozy Hygge Sweaters & Cocoa vibe so they're just tired & restless instead, and the whole thing is so drawn out & uneventful that it feels like it lasts 10x longer

This vase I made my sister for Christmas exploded in the kiln, so here is the process of sculpting (no wheel), then subsequently gluing back together, then going over the raw patches with acrylic and varnish. Overall I'm really into how it came out

Actually you don’t have to pick an aesthetic. I think picking an aesthetic kind of kills your creativity and individualism. No one was supposed to fit inside a mood board. Don’t turn art into a performance. Your expression is supposed to be messy, and felt, and you, not for the algorithm. Your expression is meant to be whatever you love, not altered to fit in.
