I would like to make an additional disclaimer here that Peter Pan (movie AND original book) is a deeply problematic product of its time, and its opinions are not my opinions. Mun is not muse! I should not have to say this in 2k24 but here we are.

Fandoms I won't rp with for personal reasons are Haz.bin ho.tel and Hell.uva Boss, dre.am sm.p, Harr.y Po.tter, and Sou.th Pa.rk, but I have no issue blacklisting character or fandom tags for those if you are a multi.

I don't write with non rp blogs/"personals". You're free to follow and like things, but please don't reblog any of my writing unless it's tagged "ok to reblog".

When I say no, I mean no. Don't guilt trip me into writing with you and don't force me to write anything I'm uncomfortable with. Doing so is a one-way ticket to a hard block.

Blocking means I don't want you to contact me in any way and I'll consider any attempts of circumventing a block to be harassment.

Before so much as a single 'aye-aye' reached his ears, he slammed the door to his quarters, and slumped down in his chair, pinching the bridge of his nose with a heavy sigh. Good crewmen were so hard to find these days...! It was at this precise moment that out of the corner of his eye, he saw something that didn't quite fit — a stray limb not entirely tucked into a hiding spot.

The Captain stood up, tip-toed over, grasped the front of the man's shirt, and hoisted him up off his feet.

Melody half-expected to be pinched between and thrown away in that pretty pink handkerchief this dreadful man held toward her. What was she supposed to do with it? Oh, that’s right—she grabbed it tight in her claws and drowned her whole sad little face in it.

It didn’t exactly make her feel any better. If nothing else, it made for a fair place to shoot underneath and hide from his threat against her life.

“I do! I do,” she said shakily. She continued slowly, as if revealing a great secret: “I—I overheard… a bunch of boys talking.”

She cautiously peeked her head out from one side. “Is that enough? Can I leave now?”

Hook closed his eyes and smiled fondly. There it was, the sweet sound of a captive confessing!

... His eyes shot open, and he frowned. She'd divulged absolutely nothing of value, the blasted idiot!

"No, it is not enough, you...!" He raised his voice, then shook his head. Patience, Hook. Patience. Buttered-up buffoons are more likely to divulge information. He sighed. "... I've let my temper get the best of me; where are my manners? You can certainly leave... after you tell me a little more."

He stood up from his Captain's chair, and waved for Melody to follow as he moved to a side table, took a jam-topped biscuit from a tin, and offered her a broken-off portion with his hook.

"And what did you hear them talking about, precisely?"

Susan huffed, "That's some way to say thank you!"

She thought about giving the pirate exactly what he had asked for, unhanding him right back into the water she had just fished him from. But no, that wasn't like Susan at all. Especially since she had sworn she'd seen a crocodile swimming nearby not long ago. Instead, she cupped her hand closer around him, now that he was alert and moving.

The water churned around her as she waded back to the shore, where she let the man gently down to the sand. Her clothes were soaked to her elbows and mid-thigh now, and they would take a frustrating amount of time to dry out. Regardless, she was glad he was okay.

"I'm sorry if I startled you, but you don't have to threaten me over it. Are you alright?"

Hook brushed himself off and held his head high and with a stiff upper lip — and not just to look this monstrosity in the eyes, either. His shirt, cravat, and torn up trousers were sopping wet, his boots gone. Curse Peter Pan, curse that damned Crocodile, curse the day he became stuck in these hellish waters, doomed to chase the boy who severed his hand in a fruitless quest for revenge.

By God, he needed something soothing to smoke forthwith, and a hefty helping of spiced rum. At the least, he'd take dry clothing or a blanket.

"Now, now, let's remain civilized, Madam. You've doubtless seen the countless dangers Neverland offers its guests," he grumbled, always the gentleman, adjusting his hook and making sure it was tightly screwed-in. "including yourself," he hissed beneath his breath. "And it is upon mine honor as a ship captain that I must admit you have saved me from doom in the belly of a very hungry crocodile."

He rubbed his spindly 'stache with slender fingers. "And so, it behooves me to offer you my sincere thanks for getting me out and away from that damned devil. It would seem we have begun our conversation upon the wrong foot, and I have misjudged you," he lied, "Is that right?"

The horror could not be hidden from the Captain's face as he looked up, and up, and up, impossibly high, to a face belonging to a maid who was of a positively monstrous size, the sorts of which had in his homeland been confined to mere stories and legends only fools still believed. James Hook was no fool, and the hand his waterlogged body had come to its senses within was undeniably real. This must have been how that wretched Tinkerbell had felt when manhandled by him; there was almost a twang of sympathy for that she-devil within his blackened heart.

Almost.

"N-now, you listen here, you tactless, towering titaness!" Hook raised his voice to a shout, waving his hooked hand for emphasis, "If you do not unhand me this instant, my men will shoot you through with so many cannonballs that you'll have Swiss cheese jealous! They'll be here any moment!!"

There was absolutely no sign of the Jolly Roger within either of their sights, despite his threats.
