Clint Barton was no newbie to the circus, but what S.H.I.E.L.D was putting him through was exactly that.

Here he was, in the middle of God knows where, in a safehouse with the hottest assassin he had ever seen (not counting Natasha), and a literal child.

A simple hostage rescue with Natasha had spiraled into an all out protection program with the ex-winter soldier, although Clint wasn't sure why.

Anyone interested in a Blind Date exchange for February 14th? 

Here’s how it’d go: 

Sign up by January 10th and provide 3 prompts you would be interested in receiving fic or art for (fic would be 1.5k or less; art includes black and white sketches, mood boards, gif sets, comic, digital art, etc.). Include your hard nopes for receiving and creating.

Then you get matched with another ‘date’ on January 14th and, on February 14th, you post your creation. 

This isn’t a BIG thing, not like the awesome @winterhawkwonderland exchange - just small fics or art pieces, because, after all, we’re just going on blind dates.

Gauging interest, and if people seem game, I will make an official blog and sign up doc and post those on Jan 1.

Summer Nights (Three)

Ohhhh Drama Drama Drama mama– Steve gets back together, Nat and Bucky break up, and then the dance! If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll definitely notice what I changed, but it’s still fun!

************ Peter Quill and Steve Rogers became everyone’s favorite couple immediately. 

Not only were they both big and blonde and all sorts of beautiful, but Peter was adorably earnest in absolutely everything and Steve was so nice that even the lunch ladies loved him. Scott Lang put up posters that very same day nominating Peter and Steve as Homecoming Kings and the yearbook photographer came by at least once a week to snap pictures of them eating lunch, holding hands down the hall, or just laughing together because both Peter and Steve had perfect smiles. 

Peter loved the attention of course, and always had a mega watt grin turned towards the lens, and while Steve was a little more reserved, he had to admit it was nice to be with someone so uncomplicated, someone who didn’t mind showing him off. 

Peter was a little bit goofy but he had a heart of gold and was charming in a cheesy sort of way. He pulled out Steve’s chair and held open doors and even though Steve was in advanced classes and had loads of books, Peter had loads of muscles so he carried all their books in one hand and kept his other arm right around Steve’s waist to walk him to class. 

Steve liked wearing Peter’s jacket so everyone knew he was Peter’s fella, he liked the way Peter waved at him during games. He liked how Peter was always so excited to see him in the morning and how the big quarterback never wanted to hang up when they talked at night and most of all, Steve liked that Peter was always the same person whether they were in public or private, with the other jocks or sitting with Steve’s friends at lunch. 

Peter was uncomplicated, sweet and honest and sure, maybe a little dumb but Steve sort of loved it. So when Peter stopped him one day and stammered through a frankly adorable, “You sure look pretty today– I mean handsome today– I mean wow, those pants on your butt– I mean–” Steve just laughed and tipped his chin up for a kiss, and laughed again when Peter cheered in excitement before leaning in to give him a very gentle kiss. 

It was a good kiss, if not a little clumsy. A good kiss, but there wasn’t a riot of butterflies in his stomach and Steve wasn’t weak kneed like he’d been when Tony used to–

Nope. Not thinking about that.

Winterhawk Wonderland FAQs

Hello Winterhawk fandom!

As it cools off in the Northern Hemisphere and heats up in the South, let’s join together and exchange some Winterhawk gifts!

What is this Holiday Exchange thing?

We’re glad you asked!

-Sign up beginning on October 6th by submitting our Google Form that asks for the following information:

1. Three prompts/ideas/themes that your Secret Creator can choose from to create your gift.

2. The content you are NOT comfortable creating (non-con, tentacles, explicit content, etc.).

3. The content you are NOT comfortable receiving. (These two may not be the same - for example many people are comfortable receiving explicit content but not creating it.  Please make sure to include any triggers here.)

Content that you may create for this exchange: fanfic (1k-3k), fanart, moodboards, podfic, or playlists. Basically: it must be able to be consumed online. If you have some other type of fandom creation you would like to submit, please message the blog for mod approval.

***If you are willing to be a pinch hitter (in case someone has to drop out for any reason and we need a last minute content creator), please indicate that in your submission****

How does this work?

Sign-ups are open from October 6th until November 1st.

On November 7th, we will contact each Creator with their assigned recipient’s name and requests. By giving us three options, we should be able to match everyone with someone else.  Please make sure you provide us with three different ideas that are not overly specific or complex - remember you are getting a gift, not ordering a commission.

Please Note: You will not necessarily be exchanging gifts with the same person you are assigned. Person A might be Person B’s gift giver, but Person B will probably be Person C’s gift giver. (i.e., You have Bob, and Bob has Carol, and Carol has Thelma.)

Therefore:

PLEASE KEEP YOUR RECIPIENT A SECRET!

December 21st-31st will be the days when you can post your gift content - tag your recipient and tag us so we can reblog your work!  If there are a lot of creators we’re hoping for a lot we will assign posting dates so that everyone has equal opportunity for their work to be showcased.
