Dating a celebrity was hectic. Dating a celebrity who has spent the most of his 30s single was also hectic. Dating said celebrity who portrayed Captain America until 2019 was tough. But he was worth it. You loved Chris, and he loved you. Since stepping away from Marvel and Steve Rogers, you have been able to take back some of the privacy you both craved near the end, even though if that means there are rumours every few months about him returning to Marvel.Â
By stepping back, you were able to spend the the mandated lockdowns together during the COVID pandemic. You were both hidden away in your Boston home, no paparazzi invading your privacy and no fans leaking where you both were to be ambushed on the streets.Â
Due to the pandemic and when the restrictions began to be slowly lifted, you were even able to secretly get married in your backyard, with your closest family there. It was the perfect day for you both as you loved your privacy and only having your closest family there made it the happiest day of your life. You didnât even announce that you were married until your first anniversary and Chris posted his favourite photo of you both from your wedding day on his Instagram.Â
You were both in love and nothing could ever change that.Â
So you thought, it was a warm day in the late spring in Massachusetts and Chris decided to haul you and Dodger on a hike. You loathed the man you married at the moment, no matter how matter how gorgeous today was in Boston.Â

You hear him chuckle softly at the tone of your voice before looking over his shoulder to you, Dodger sniffing round at the bushes a few feet in front of you both on the trail. âYou are my wife. I know these things baby.â He says before raising his eyebrows at you and smirks a little when you smile sheepishly as you had been caught out. âNot much further, we are near the clearing, about 5 more minutes of walking. The hike will be worth it.â He finally answers your question with a smile, adjusting his baseball hat on his head before quickly pressing a kiss to your cheek to hopefully appease you into walking just a little bit further for him.Â
You huffed a little before nodding and continue following him to the clearing that he mentioned. You werenât going to admit to him that your feet were beginning to hurt as you hiked. You hadnât been on a hike since the previous autumn, so you were not used to walking these distances again.Â
Your mood and attitude changed instantly when Chris stepped out the way for you to see the view in the clearing of the valley and lake.Â
âWoahâŚâ You mumble under your breath as you follow your husband to on of the benches to take a break from walking. As you sit down slowly, Dodger comes and lays in front of you both, Chris pouring one water bottle into a collapsable dog bowl for Dodger to drink from before passing you another full bottle of water to quench your thirst from the hike you just made it through. âThank youâŚâ You say to him as your eyes soften as you look at him. He was always so prepared and thoughtful.Â
Chris flashes your favourite smile of his before he sits down next to you on the bench, taking the weight of his feet as well for a well deserved break before you make your way back to the car to head home for the afternoon.Â
You smile at him lovingly before taking a long slip of water, slowly placing the lid back on the bottle and watching Dodger for a moment. Your perfect family.Â
You feel Chrisâ arm rest on the bench behind you, like it always does when you sit next to each other. A knowing smile creeping onto your face before you sneak a glance at him. He looked so relaxed and content with himself and his life in that moment that you were proud of him. It was the perfect life for you both away from the cameras and the fans.Â
You stop watching him before it becomes a little awkward, even if Chris didnât try to make it awkward. You move your gaze away from your husband and back to the view that he clearly wanted you to see, as why would he bring you out here.Â
The sun reflected off the blue still water of the lake at the bottom of the valley and was surrounded by elegant, trees that stood undisturbed by humans, and probably have done for the last couple of hundred years. It was gorgeous. How did you not know that this place was only an hour from your home?Â
âOh wowâŚâ You say which makes Chris turn his head to you gently, a tender look on his face as he watches you realise how beautiful nature was out here. âItâs beautifulâŚâ You say and smiles to yourself, the whining about how long the walk was long gone as you admire the view.Â
Chris grins to himself and nods âYeahâŚâ He says, but he is not looking at the view. He is looking at his beautiful wife that he has loved for the last 7 years of his life. âYou areâŚâ He whispers under his breath so only you would be able to hear him.Â
Your cheeks flush a light red when you hear his words. He was talking about you, not the natural beauty of the view in front of you. You slowly look from the view to your husband and smiles slowly. âSmooth ChristopherâŚâ You say before leaning in for a gentle, loving kiss.Â
Chris eagerly reciprocates the kiss gently, holding you a little closer to him. Not too close that you would overheat in the warm spring air though, pulling away slowly to nudge his nose against yours lovingly. You canât help but let a giggle escape from your mouth as he does, a grin gracing his lips as he loves when you giggle. It was one of his favourite noises you make, the other was the ones you make when you are under him when you are in bed together.Â
âWhat can I say, my gorgeous wifeâŚmy smooth talking was one of the reasons you married me right?â He jokes and strokes your hair from your face as he watches you, his wedding band cool on your skin as you lean into his touch. You could never get enough of this man.Â
âOh, of courseâŚâ You joke back before grinning at him, leaning in to peck his lips again. A chuckle rumbles in his chest as he hears the joking tone of your voice.Â
âGod, I do love you more than anythingâŚâ He whispers before you lean your head on his shoulder to watch the view for a few more minutes before you head back to the car with Dodger.Â
Now this was the life you had always dreamt about, and you were able to live it to the fullest with the love of your life.Â
It had been going on for hours now, the screaming and fighting. You and Andy had argued before this, but not this much. You had never seen Andy this angry before, over something he hasnât even told you about yet. He was in a foul mood when he had gotten home from work, probably a run in with Neil (again), but he hadnât told you what it was about. He had scolded you for even being near him when he was in this mood which you pushed back, making his anger rise more than you have ever seen it rise before.Â
You were sat on the couch quietly, wiping your silent tears away as you stare at the fireplace, trying to listen to where Andy was in the house. Hoping that you wonât have to speak to him until tomorrow, when his mood might have improved and he has realised that he took his anger out on the wrong person. Heck, if it came to it you would even sleep on the couch or in the spare bedroom if you really had to avoid him and his temper.Â
It was the first major argument you have had with Andy since you have moved in with him. You didnât expect that you would have one that would be blown out of proportion just because Andy was in a bad mood from work. You knew that he didnât mean to take his anger out on you but you were the only one in the house for him to do so. Maybe, this is what happened when he was with Laurie, maybe this is how she felt? But they were a happy family, werenât they? Until she ruined everything after Jacobâs trial, killing him because she didnât believe that he was truly innocent, making Andy leave her and in turn fall in love with you.Â
He went out for a run to âcalm downâ, hopefully he will be in a bit of a better mood but that hadnât happened as he slammed the door when he walked in, stalking upstairs to have a shower as you made dinner for you both quietly. That was 20 minutes ago and he is still to appear downstairs.
You sigh a little to yourself, moving off the couch to go and grab a blanket, wanting to alleviate the chill you felt from his mood. Usually Andy always tried to cuddle with you once he was back from a run as a joke, knowing that he was sweaty and needed a shower first. But, for the first time since living together, he didnât.Â
You werenât even sure what was playing on the TV as you were just thinking about the shouting match you both had when he arrived home, you were so inside your own head and thoughts that you didnât hear Andy walk downstairs slowly to come and find you as it was later than expected and you were usually getting ready for bed by now.Â
You finally look up at your boyfriend when he sits next to you slowly, his hair still damp from his shower and the most guilty look on his face. His anger seems to have evaporated whilst he was in the shower. You hadnât been able to stop crying since he left for his run and the look on his face just breaks your heart as he can see the tears in your eyes.Â
âOh babyâŚâ He murmurs before cupping your cheeks in his hands to wipe away the tears away with his thumbs slowly âI am so sorry that I made you cryâŚI am sorry that I shouted at youâŚI am so sorryâŚâ He whispers as he focuses on your tears.Â
You close your eyes as he takes gentle care whilst holding your face in his hands. Taking a deep breath before opening your eyes to look at him, you melt into his touch slowly. Your Andy was back and you were eternally grateful as you knew that you would not have been able to not join him in your bed.Â
âI have never seen you that angryâŚâ You whisper as you look back at Andy and he nods slowly. A frown graces his face as he remembers how he treated you when he arrived home from the worst day at work he has had in a while.Â
He lets a long breath before nodding slowly, his eyes flicking back to yours and he pulls you into his arms. His embrace was comforting, even though he was the one who made you feel like this. âNeil wants to look at Jacobâs case again, the Rifkinâs still do not believe that Jacob is innocent in Benâs murderâŚâ He says as he holds you close. You could hear the anger in his voice, his son was dead because his own mother didnât believe him when he said he was innocent, and now the case was going to be looked at again to put the blame on a dead 14-year-old when he was found not guilty originally.Â
Andyâs anger earlier was completely justified now you know why he was kicking off. He was going to have to re-live one of the most traumatising parts of his life again, and his sonâs death because no-one believed that his son was innocent. Apart from the two of you. When Andy opened up and told you about those traumatic months of his life, you knew that he had fought for his sonâs innocence with every fibre of his being, and you believed him when he said that Jacob was innocent. You just knew. You knew that Andy wasnât lying when he said that Jacob was innocent.Â
âOh AndyâŚâ You say and you look at him sadly, stroking his cheek gently as you watch his reaction carefully. He seems to relax a little as you stroke his cheek, like you were his rock, his support system. âI am so sorry that you have to re-live everything that happened to you and Jacob again, to prove his innocence yet againâŚthat isnât right what they are doingâŚâÂ
Andy sighs and nods before pressing a light kiss to your head as he holds you closer to him, neither of you knew what to say now. Andyâs life was going back under the microscope when it shouldnât be.Â

You and Ransom had been dating for 2 years, and within those 2 years you have seen Ransom transform from the egotistical, trust fund boy to your boyfriend that loves and cares for only you. Someone who might be able to settle down with you for the rest of your lives, to have a family. Not like his own, but one that cares for each other, without the influence of Harlan's millions being the reason that you care for one another.
You loved the man that Ransom had become to act round you, the way he looked after you when you were ill, and made you smile on your bad days, and laughed with you over the littlest of things. People say that sometimes only people change for the people they love, you were Ransom's person and he would be eternally grateful for you as you changed him for the better.

Ransom was sat in his office finishing up with his work for the day while you sat at the window of your shared Boston home, watching the snow fall as you wrapped up warm in his infamous cream cable knit sweater, positive pregnancy test sitting next to your mug of hot chocolate as you wait for Ransom to join you. Out of sight due to the book you are currently reading blocking the view of the test from Ransom.
You didn't have to wait long as he walked through slowly, smiling at the sight of you in your favourite place in the entire house, even more when you and Ransom spent hours in bed just curled up together, memorising each others features while whispering sweet words of love.
"Ah, there you are..." Ransom says before kissing your head softly, pulling on your ponytail teasingly before looking at you with the loving eyes he always used with you. âYou donât know my familyâŚIt would be the worst thing for both sidesâŚâ He says and looks up at you before smiling a little.Â
Marta had been in contact two days after the altercation with Walt in front of Blood Like Wine, mentioning to Ransom that Walt had spoken to Linda about Ransom being out of prison. Ransom hadnât heard from his mother yet but his attorney had let him know that he was getting questions from her about his prison sentence.Â
âWell, I am on your sideâŚthrough thick and thinâŚâ You whisper and make him look at you before you press your lips against his to try and calm him down. You realise your mistake before pulling away and standing up, a look of shock on Ransomâs face. âRansomâŚIâm sorryâŚâ You say and turn to grab your coat to let him panic alone.Â
âBabe, waitâŚâ He says and grabs your hand gently, standing up in front of you so you canât leave. A soft smile was gracing his face as he lets go of your wrist to take your face in his hands, leaning in slowly to kiss you as he holds your face gently, the only way he holds you. The person that was described in the news when it emerged that Ransom had a hand in his grandfatherâs death was not the man you were falling in love with. He was completely different.Â
You meet Ransom halfway, leaning in and pressing your lips against his as he holds closer so you canât move away. Not that you wanted to move away anytime soon. A smile graces your face as you both pull away, opening your eyes to look up at him, a soft smile was on his face as well as he watched you lightly.Â

You blush a little and smile slowly before Ransomâs phone starts ringing obnoxiously from the coffee table. He sighs and lets go of you before going to pick it up, cringing when its his motherâs name appearing on the screen. âOh god, here we goâŚâ He mumbles before answering the call and pressing the phone to his ear. âMotherâŚâÂ
You canât hear the exact words that his mother is telling him, the look on his face and the tone of her voice indicate to you that it is not good, that the family still do not want anything to do with him. Ransomâs whole body language drops as you see his shoulders slump and a frown appear on his face. With the way that Linda is speaking to Ransom he can barely get a word in edgeways to try and explain to her what has happened.Â
Anger starts to boil in your stomach as you hate how his own mother could make him feel like this and you walk over to take his phone from him. He looks at you a little shocked, but also confused to why you have taken his phone. You donât even put it to your own ear to speak to his mother, just simply pressing the âend callâ button.Â
âWhy did you do that?â He asks as you set his phone on his coffee table, walking over and taking his face in your hands gently.Â
âNo one, not even your own family, should speak to you in a way that makes you feel bad about yourself, no matter what you have done in the past.â You say and stroke Ransomâs cheeks carefully. âEspecially because you are a changed man, you have served your punishmentâŚâÂ
Ransom closes his eyes and rests his forehead against yours lightly, holding you closer as he relaxes after his motherâs words. âI donât deserve someone as good as you in my lifeâŚâ He whispers lightly.Â

âWho are you?â The blunt question thrown at your face.Â
âIâm (Y/N)âŚâ You say, not opening the door enough for her to step into the house, and enough for the noise of your conversation to not be carried through to wake Ransom.

âYou are not going to go anywhere near Ransom, you have caused him enough painâŚâÂ
âI have caused him pain?! Do you know what he did to my father? His own grandfather?â Linda bombards you, her voice gaining volume with each question.Â
âYour fatherâs death was still ruled a suicide as there was no physical evidence against him, but yes I do know what happened but I didnât mean why he was in prison, I meant before. You close the door as she starts asking questions again, knocking on the door loudly wanting to get in and see him for herself. You sigh and lean against the door as Ransom walks round the corner, rubbing his eye sleepily, you look at him sadly before pushing yourself off the door.Â
âWhoâs at the door?â He asks before walking over to reach for the door handle but you catch his wrist just in time, making him look at you worriedly.Â
âItâs your motherâ You say and bite your lip, unsure what he is going to say.Â
