“Hungry is me. I am so hungry” Izzy mumbled to the blonde next to her, lifting up random electronics for no reason.

Laura looked up quickly before turning her attention back to her project. “Well, you should go eat.”

“I know you're hurting. I am, too.”

Laura looked at Rosie confused, she tried really hard to hide how much the whole situation was hurting her. She frowned at the thought that Rosie was hurting to, Rosie shouldn’t be hurting, Laura was supposed to prevent that. “I’m fine Rosie,” She said with an obviously fake smile, “Wanna talk about why you’re hurting though?”

“I’m in the middle of something,” Laura mumbled, attention solely on her project.

“Then take a break,” Val said simply as she lifted the test tube filled with a mixed substance and held it in front of her eyes, examining the color. “I’m almost done, we can go get food.”

“Can’t” Laura said, she needed to at least get this part of th project assembled before she took a break.

she walks to the lab silently and for a few minutes, watches the blonde girl working. she can’t avoid a smile on her face. “ knock knock. ” her voice is soft, not to scare her. “ hi. ” suddenly she feels nervous. “ i– i hope i’m not interrupting anything? i just… hadn’t seen you in a while and– I missed you. ”

Laura looked up when she heard Rosie’s voice, a huge grin spreading across her face when her eyes landed on Rosie. “Hey there cutie,” She said, “I missed you too, I’ve just been super busy working on this project. I’m sorry.” She said softly.

“Tired is me. I am so tired.” Laura mumbled under her breath as she fiddled with the electronics on the lab table in front of her.

“Oh right! Strawberry. See I knew that. I was just testing to see if you had a different favorite now.”

“Uh huh, sure you were Aud. I honestly believe you forgot.”

a moment of weakness

My muse is sick and continues daily routine even though they seem on the verge of passing out.

Laura knew she was getting sick, that she has been for the past week and a half, but she didn’t need to rest, she didn’t want to. She was in the lab, working on a project, or at least she was trying to. She was standing with a screwdriver in her hand, swaying on her feet and staring at nothing, her eyes drooping.

Audrey listened to everything Laura said, following along with her eyes to make sure she understood everything the other girl was pointing at. Once Laura had finished Audrey nodded and then did exactly as she was told. Her hands shook slightly but she managed to make it through. “Alrightie, what’s next?”

“alright,” Laura said, writing some more code on a piece of paper, “This code needs to be input as well.” She said, turning her head to cough before turning back to the project. “Then these wires have to be soldered to the motherboard.” She said indicating which wires before pointing to the soldering tool.
