black sails, I
Describe my blog in terms of "came for the _____, stayed for the _____"
Nelsonās pride. The HMS Victory.
[ Half on the-shattered-shield for the day, loves. I'll still be on here, though. xx ]
"Why did you do that?" ((hello there!
Cocking a brow, I turn around in surprise. āI just⦠I⦠Why do you ask? Are you following me?ā Granted, Iām probably looking more than a bit guilty as I stand there, a bucket of fish in hand.
[ Hey there! ^.^ ]Ā
Slurring my words a bit drunkenly, I shake her hand in a careful manner. āShe looked hungry, what can I say? Donāt you agree?ā I look away for a moment, admiring the sun on the horizon, swaying a bit on my feet. āItās nice to meet you.ā
Jacky cut her eyes between the drunken Captain and the saucy mermaid figurehead, resisting the urge to roll them.
"Charmed. Iām sure." She replied, focusing on Flint again. "I suppose since you took such care to feed her so carefully, you wonāt mind climbing up there and wiping her mouth clean when youāre sober now, will you?"
"Right. Well. Of course. She can't be messy, now can she?" Giving her a messy, lopsided smile, I merely nod and wander off to clean the blasted bucket. "I shall be back later, then."
[ Be back in a bit. MakingĀ holubtsiĀ withĀ my mum. ]Ā

Pulling a face, as if I know damn well that Iām in trouble, I try for a timid smile. āI just, I, er, was in the middle of something. Worry not. Rotten fish and all. Itās better not to ask questions.ā
Setting the creaky, wooden bucket down upon the dock, I glance back in her direction again. āIām Flint. Captain Flint. Of the Walrus.āĀ
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Jacky glanced at the offered hand and accepted it hesitantly, āJacky Faber, Captain of the Lorelei Lee. Now that weāve gotten the formalities out of the way, do you mind telling my why you thought my poor figurehead was hungry enough that sheād want these rotten fish?ā

"How did you get in here?" //What the heck.. I'll bite out of curiosity.
"Shit," comes a quiet mumble, my head flicking the direction of Tessā figure. "How did /you/ get in here? This is a private residence." I wonāt mention that Iām breaking in as well, apparently. Or that itās not in fact my own home.
The roots of the word āpiracyā come from the ancient Greek ĻειĻάομαι, orĀ peirĆ”omai, meaning āattempt;ā i.e. an attempt to rob for personal gain. This morphed into ĻειĻαĻĪ®Ļ, orĀ peiratÄs, meaning ābrigand,ā and from that to the LatinĀ pirata, where we get the modern English wordĀ pirate.

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā "No, Iām not following you, but that happens to be my ship youāre standing in front of, and I donāt take kindly to strangers who enjoy tossing fish at my figurehead.ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Jacky put her hands on her hips, doing her best to make her five foot two figure look intimidating.

Send me one to see how my muse reacts!
"Shut up!" "Please, talk to me." "I have no ideaā¦" "I know what this is!" "Why did you do that?" "How could you do this?" "Let me do it!" "Leave me alone." "Donāt leave me." "Kiss me." "Donāt touch me." "Why werenāt you there?" "Why are you here?" "What are you doing?" "Donāt look!" "Just look at it!" "How did you get in here?" "How did you escape?" "Help me." "I want to help you." "Youāre a monster!" "Youāre not a monster!"
[ I'd literally kill for an Eleanor to write with. Not even joking. ]
"James Flint~"
"Thatās my name," I utter quietly in reply, an amused grin touching the very corner of my lips. "Make sure you donāt wear it out."
"To have your blessing is a bit of a surprise," I tell her, eyes drifting lazily over to her face. "Thank you."
"If you fool me, you will drown.ā she told him, turning to make her leave.
"I may be many things, but a liar and a fool I am not," I say as I watch her turn to leave.
