designed Martyn's Red Winter design bc I forgot to do that while watching Nice Life and never showed the original designs too oops (below and some design process yap)

here it is! I made these for a zine a while back and def Ren needs some rework since I designed them close to their actual skins but I want to add more creative liberty on my end since that is half the fun
I designed this before Past Life's Martyn, so the design on the headband carried over from here originally. Along with that, I added the bandages to add to the Naruto ninja aspect of his design.
I enjoy the idea of having at least subtle differences for each season, so 3rd!Martyn gets the shadow over his eyes like on his skin and the more "souless" eyes bc I thought it would be a nice touch and kinda an intimidating look idk Also, 3rd! gets the less poofy hair, no ahoge, and no signs of facial hair (although how I draw it it's barely there in the first place) bc the Life series just started and thought this is a nice starting point.
originally I wanted to stick closer to Martyn's actual red skin, but as I incorporated the blue from the Red Winter axe, it gave the contrast I was looking for. so I added more blue throughout. I'm conflicted to add blue/blue-ish tint to Ren to harmonize their designs together, but I might accentuate the gold more when I redesign him later, we'll see
oh and there is hearts on him: the clasps (with one being a different color haha), the three on his left shoulder, and the three on the axe
I do not want to admit how long all this took, so I am gonna laugh instead hehe
p.s. I just thought the gloves should change color...just maybe
