Well it was still a good nap...
Your "thing"
Pick a url! It can be anything academic of even non-academic related, though most studyblr urls I know have some form of relation to schooling and/or studying. If you're feeling stuck here's a url idea generator!
Pick a theme if you want! This is how your blog shows up on desktop mode. You can get them from tumblr's theme garden or @theme-hunter
More guides by others: 1 | 2 | 3
Introducing Yourself
Add as much or as little as you like to your intro! Here are some stuff I've commonly seen added to studyblr introductions:
Nickname and pronouns
Area of study/interest
Reason you joined studyblr
Kinds of posts you'll have on your studyblr
Studyblrs that inspired/motivated you/you'd recommend to others
A tracked tag, if you have one, and a tag for original posts if you have one
Some Studyblr Post Ideas
Daily study life posts - can be to-do lists, accomplishments, thoughts of the day, and maybe a picture or two (notes, desk views, screenshots, bullet journals, etc) from your day.
Study Tips - can be listed out as text, done through infographics, or through slideshows of multiple images!
Masterposts - can have as much or as few links
Study methods
Academic Aesthetic moodboards (just be sure that the images you're using are free to use!)
Study challenge entries
The tagging system
Some studyblrs track tags so they can reblog and boost posts tagged as such! This is a great way to grow your blog on both ends and get interaction.
- Some formats of tracked tags I've noticed are the url of the studyblr itself (like #myhoneststudyblr or #voyagenotes), #hey/look[name of studyblr] (like #heyrei or #looktoki, and something else entirely! (like #lattesforlaura or #tranquilstudybuddies)
- Here's a database of tracked tags by @myhoneststudyblr if you're looking for some tags to use, you can also send an ask to get added.
Sometimes posts with links to sites outside of tumblr (e.g. youtube, reddit) don't show up in the tags, so make sure your links are tumblr links, or @ other studyblrs who track tags in order to get them seen if you really have to include links to other sites.
Common tags on studyblr you can also tag your posts as fitting: #studyblr, #studyspo, #langblr (for language learners), #medblr (for med students), #bujo (bullet journalling), #dark academia, #light academia
Formatting your Posts
Having Aesthetic™ posts isn't a requirement for running a studyblr, but if you'd like some resources and tips on how to format your posts you can find them below:
If you want resources for making graphics, formatting pictures, dividers, etc. I have a post right here!
It's not required but I encourage you to add alt text and/or image descriptions to your posts in order to make them accessible to people with low vision/are blind, and people with slow internet connections. Here's a handy reference on how to write them!
Here's a masterpost of apps you can use to take your studyblr photos, and heres a post with how to make them look Aesthetic™ (using snapseed)
"Growing" Your Studyblr
Join study challenges if you want! Some popular ones are the 100/50/30 days of (mild) productivity and seasonal challenges. Keep an eye out on the studyblr challenge tag, since people may post their own challenges and challenge entries on there.
Participate in tag games if you want. Some examples of this are picrew tags, playlist tags, and about me tags, where someone tags you in a post and you reblog with your own response!
Note that you're not obligated to do every tag game you're tagged in since it may be overwhelming lmao (trust me I've left a lot of tag games in my drafts for like months ashdndn)
You can also reblog one of those "ask games" posts with thematic ask ideas. Turn asks on to some degree, and answer asks in your own time. Also this is optional but please also leave an ask to the blog you reblogged the ask game from lmao
Reblog stuff!!!! And leave a nice comment in the replies/a reblog/tags if you like. It helps the original poster get seen more and helps you with getting content on your blog. You can have a separate "reblogged" tag for things you reblog if you want to keep your blog organized.
On Reposting
Don't be That Person and repost someone else's pictures because they look pretty.
If you really want to repost something as an aesthetic inspiration post on your own blog, find the original poster and ask them if it's okay to repost their thing, and repost only if they say yes, and credit and link to them in your post.
If you can't find the original poster because you found it on pinterest or something, don't repost it. And if the pinterest links back to tumblr, reblog the post instead of reposting.
And on the other end, here's how to find if a photo on a tumblr blog is a repost, another one. If you find a repost, please let the original poster know that their content has been stolen, and tell the reposter to credit properly/take down the post.
And on your end, here's how to disable copy + paste and right click on your blog if you don't want people copying your posts, writing, etc
Introduction 2.0
It's been a while huh, probably less than a year. My last post, which is about 30 days challenge of productivity, didn't end well, and I stopped it at day 5. *insert sweating*
Anyways, I am here again, last time I was just starting from my college years, and look at me now, I am entering 2nd year. There have been many bumps throughout my first year, and I don't feel I have learned something valuable. Maybe I learned something more about myself rather than the lessons that were kind of taught to us.
I think I would want to update my introduction
just viewing the first time I did this makes me cringe
More facts about me:
Just a few weeks and I would be entering 2nd year of college.
There is only one game that I am still playing every day: Fire Emblem Heroes
Cannot normally function if I have less than 6 hours of sleep
Eventually, I realized that I like cats
Bad at remembering things (Idk why I'd choose a degree that tends to have huge and heavy content)
Additional Likes and Interests:
Learn more about myself
Storing any information that I consider essential in my second brain
Been reading much on Stoicism, particularly Meditations by Marcus Aurelius
Creating plans that I know I would never follow
Things I am currently doing:
Playing Stardew Valley and FEH
Changing constantly my Notion Setup
Staring at the screen
Thinking the next thing that I would be doing
Reasons why I started this:
I have this page on my second brain that I input every thought I am thinking within that day, more like random thoughts. It also has a space for brainstorming ideas, a general reflection from the experiences throughout that day. I usually use that, but the general reflection has been kept blank most of the days.
Maybe using Tumblr could help me reflect on the time that was used up. Also, I want to share what I am thinking about (although I know it is not necessary). Like in the past, I still do like studyblrs that post their day even if it isn't aesthetically appealing (promise, I am that too, and it keeps me motivated).
Studyblrs that inspired me to keep going:
@chazza-studies-alevels @geminiwizard @oreleona @study-tea-study-repeat @caffeinatedstudies @s-studiess @wishemilline @myvirtualdesk @555purin @studvnoodle
I'm thinking about opening "ask me" section so that I could interact with you guys. (⚈₋₍⚈)

Another productive day finished for me heheheh. I only studied Anatomy and Physiology this day (skipped Organic Chemistry in the morning). I only reviewed the lectures in Organic Chemistry and loved creating the molecular structure of Sucrose. (^◇^;)
Tomorrow I would study Biochemistry again. I just slowed down my pace on learning new things, to prevent myself from burning out. ( ´•௰•`)
I miss my friends right now, they are busy with their school works so there’s no time for them to socialize. However, posting stuffs on Tumblr helped me from needing to talk with someone. ε-(>.<;;
That’s my day. Thank you for wasting your time in my post heheheheheh.
Today is a revision day! My semester ends in August so I have to revise:
1.- English Grammar
2.- Phonetics
These are my most important courses this semester so I need to practice a lot 💪🏻 hope you have a nice day/night!

Yes, I finally started biochemistryyyy. My sources was on Google and YouTube plus I have our syllabus on the subject, so I won’t cover everything at the beginning. I don’t even realize the feeling of exhaustion this moment, maybe I felt accomplishment in starting it. (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))
I appreciate those who had liked my past posts, it really motivates me to continue posting here on Tumblr. I am grateful even if there is only a single like to it. It just made my dayyy (ノ´ヮ´)ノ*:・゚✧
I started learning Teeline again in my free time, which like in the past I felt slow at learning it, but its okay, it’s just my first steps in learning it again for the sake of faster notes during online lecture.
(۶ꈨຶꎁꈨຶ )۶ʸᵉᵃʰᵎ
I guess I really need to put more aesthetic touch on my posts (sorry I don’t know how to do it, please forgive me). I value the information written rather than its design but there are time I want it to make it more appealing.
So, if you saw this and have ideas and suggestions feel free to message me, it will help me. ヽ(〃・ω・)ノ
These librarians sure as hell have a good sense of humor
09.04.2020 | 03/30 Days of Productivity
I did take a break yesterday, I’m not feeling well on my strategies on how to study. However, today I felt good and accomplished over the things I did. I managed to be focused most of the time today. Instead of focusing on three subjects, I just focused on one subject which was Anatomy and Physiology then tomorrow I would focus on biochemistry. I don’t know I felt tired today.
。゚・(>﹏<)・゚。
Anyways, I did quite enjoy this day. I am enjoying learning organic chemistry in Khan Academy. I just needed a foundation on it and not the deeper topicsss. I didn’t even know how to use bond-line structure before that. So, I guess that’s a progress (˘̭⺫˘̭ ;)
09.02.2020 | 02/30 Days of Productivity
Today wasn’t very productive like yesterday. I skipped learning Biochemistry again. However, I did took down notes on Anatomy and Physiology, the continuation of the Historical Development of Nursing and Organic Chemistry. My problem for not learning Biochemistry is because I have a dilemma on how should I study. That was also the reason I didn’t start Biochemistry yesterday. I am experimenting different ways on studying. I am baffled whether I should first take down notes then actively recall it. Or I would actively recall it along the way. Both of it were inefficient and time consuming, taking notes from textbooks leaved me nothing but confusion, and actively studying along the way really slows me down on taking notes. Buuttt, I realized that I should give time for taking notes first and by the middle of the month I should set a time for actively studying which it cannot overlap with my note-taking sessions. The notes I am taken would be advanced, whereas my active recall of the information depends on the pace of how I can retain the information. Nevertheless, it was still a fruitful day and I will end it by continuing my cross stitch and continue reading Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

Today I have started this challenge and I did pretty well today. I take down notes in Anatomy and Physiology, studied the basics of Organic Chemistry, and researched about the Historical Development of Nursing. Although I failed learning Biochemistry, I still have time to do it. I set my time into 25 minutes each of the tasks I’ve done, with the help of Forest: Stay Focused app.
P.S. If you have that productivity app too, let’s be friends (・ε・`)

30 Days of Productivity Challenge
So the opening of class in my university got pushed back, which gave me another second life for preparing to it. (˘ʃƪ˘) (˘ʃƪ˘) (˘ʃƪ˘) This time I have no excuses to slack off, since I did that for the whole month of August. I am challenging myself to a 30 days of productivity challenge in preparation to the heavy workload I’m going to face in my university. (I expected the workload could deprive me from sleep, I gathered my sources ( ̄□ ̄」). Well, it did put me under pressure and stress, but I have found a way to make every day a memorable day. Thanks to the book “Make Time: How to Focus on what Matters Every Day by Jake Knapp and John Zeratsky,” it did gave me insights on how not to be squeezed by never ending busyness of life. It has a part there that I should reflect every end of my day, and posting here is my one way of reflecting throughout the day.
I did have structured plan on how I should spend my time starting tomorrow.
I’ll just change my plan if it needs an update. Tomorrow is a new month, and a new day to plant my beginnings. ・*・:≡( ε:)
Rules: Tag 9 people who you want to know better/catch up with and then answer these questions
