Season 5 of Red Dwarf has always been my favourite, and it’s only just occurred to me that it’s the season where Rimmer’s being shoved in our faces at every possible angle.

In the entirety of Red Dwarf’s run, half of the simp material can be found in season 5 alone, your honour. The writers literally said, ‘let’s make this gay homophobic bastard wear a gingham dress and army boots, give him fishnets and make him a sadist, have him oiled up wearing nothing but a loincloth then have him get laid but give the episode emotional weight because he sacrifices his career for someone he cares about— just for shits and gigs.’

(Not only that, but they brought back the iconic green uniform for the inquisitor and I think that’s for the simps only.)

fan fiction writers, I really need help with something,,,

I wrote this fic a long time ago and I’ve just been reminded of its existence. I want to finish writing it, but I don’t like the oc I created for it or the tense it’s written in. Is this something worth changing? I’m ashamed to admit it’s a wattpad fic. Would it be insane to go all the way back and turn it into a reader, present tense?
