These are all faces my Evo has worn. This weekend, 10/16, in Nashville, it’ll be changing looks again: readers can come by and paint it at the Southern Festival of Books.

WHEN: 10/16, 2:00-3:00 PM

WHERE: NASHVILLE, TN. Capitol Boulevard, across from Legislative Plaza, cross street: Union

WHAT: Pretty simple: y’all get to spray paint the car again. It’ll be taped off to protect glass, tires, seams, but otherwise, you can paint all over it. Paint will be provided, but you can bring your own, too. I don’t know how many people will be there, but I’d guess you’re not going to have time or space for a mural.

WHY: I’ll drive it around like that until after the election to encourage everyone to be an individual and also because ugly is fun.

DON’T: most things are allowed on the car, but these are things that can’t be spray-painted on my car: slurs, the word fuck because I have to drop my kids off at school in this car, dicks for the same reason, proper names, memes, corporate/ logos/ slogans. In other words, be respectful of humanity and be a goddamn individual and we’ll be fine.
