Sailor & I - Tough Love (Aril Brikha remix)
I could have sworn I posted this one last year, but I guess not. Time to fix that. In response to a very cold and rainy day, this tune conveys the feeling of longing and sadness. Really great stuff.

Gwen McRae - Funky Sensation
Wonderful track. It's got the perfect bassline and Gwen's voice really matches the vibe.
Darondo - Didn't I (Dave Allison rework)
Dave Allison makes some of the smoothest reworks I've heard. Just take a listen to this soul rework. Great soul vocals, a whimsical guitar part, and nostalgic strings combine to make you feel good.
Nightriders - Shakedown
I don't see a lot of tracks from Nightriders, but they are always the highest quality. This one gets the vibe right for a peaceful night amongst the business of people.
Voices of Black - Brown Eyed Girl
A pleasant and upbeat vibe permeates this track on house label Wolf + Lamb. The sounds and vocals are so nice and warm.
LeSale - Before the Night (Rocco Raimundo mix)
Here's more beautiful house, off Luv Shack Records in Austria. This combines a great night-time feel with some deep disco and house elements. Wonderful feel.
Lee Stevens and the Beautiful People - Ridin High
I've not been motivated for music lately, but house stuff like this really appeals to me today. This one has great pacing, piano, and vocals to keep a medium energy. Definitely playing this at the next party.
Tiger & Woods - Golden Bear
Here's a beautiful groovy house track by the masters. The serious bass line (found in many T&W tracks) really works with the jazzy piano to create a slightly dark tone.
Patrick Simmons - So Wrong
This one is a little left-field, but man it's got a groovy guitar line and bass line. I could loop those 8 beats in the verse all day long.
Midnight Star - Midas Touch (CFCF remix)
An oldie but a goodie, this is a light rework by CFCF. It keeps the slightly dark tones to the track while adding a little more support. Don't worry, that bassline is still there.
Rudimental - Hell Freezes Over (Skream mix)
Heard this in a Zimmer mix yesterday and it's a top track. It's right at that mid-tempo I love so much. The quiet guitar riff and the bouncy boogie bass set the mood, and then the lovely vocals drop in with some 80s synth on top. One of the best tracks I've heard in a while.
Father's Children - Hollywood Dreamin'
While DJing at a friend's house on Saturday, I pulled out a nice edit of this track by Vanilla. Spence put me on to the original here. It's a nice mellow, feel-good groove with a catchy verse. Those horns...
Ritchie Family - I'll Do My Best
Back to some good quality boogie, here's a classic track by the Ritchie Family. I can't believe I haven't posted it yet, but my search yields no results. Both the chorus and verse are catchy as hell, with bouncy synth bass and great vocals.
Mitch Murder - Breeze
I was driving with the top down last night on the highway and this track came on. It was a wonderful experience. This song has just enough energy yet relaxes you at the same time. And it's happy and nostalgic to make you smile and sigh.
Coffee - Casanova (DJ Friction edit)
Gotta love the groove on this one. That bass line is out of control, with some peaceful sigh-inspiring piano chords around the 1:00 mark. Beautiful stuff.
Lace - Can't Play Around
Whew check that groovy bassline. This one has hardly any vocals, but you don't need it to get moving.
Mtume - So You Wanna Be a Star
Great disco stuff here complete with horns and busy bassline. That high-pitch synth is absolutely perfect on top of this beat.
