headcanon that bucky turns on the radio one day post-endgame and hears 'good 4 u' by olivia rodrigo. he listens to it all the way through, abruptly turns off the radio, and promises himself he will never listen to that song again. it brings up all the things he feels in his soul that he will not put into words, all the anger he harbors against the man who was his best friend, the anger he pushes way down inside of him because it makes him feel so guilty. he shouldn't be angry at steve, he thinks, his soul stretched to breaking between anger and deep despair. because steve rogers never gave up on or was disloyal to bucky barnes, never--until the one time he did, and then that was the only time that mattered.
