This was the last place Aluzka ever expected to be. Of course when S.H.I.E.L.D. recruited her she was astounded. Having rose to a clearance level 5, she never dreamed of being in a position such as this. Standing in the doorway, leaning against the frame; The need to check on Steve bubbled up after he had been so quiet for so long.
“Don’t do that to yourself…” Alu wanted to keep hope, if not for herself then the others. Though who was she to tell Captain America what to do or feel? Absolutely no one, that’s who. Sighing, she picked at her thumbnail, trying to figure out why she hadn’t been reduced to dust.
“You all did everything you possibly could.” Unlike her, she wasn’t able to fight or do anything. All she had was her books and relics. “It doesn’t seem like it now but I know things are gonna turn around. Not sure ‘ow but…please you can’t give up…”
She seemed to still have hope. It had been three months ever since Thanos snapped his fingers and erased half of the universe. Not only on their world but everywhere. On planets they could only dream of. Tony was still missing, probably dead, just like everyone else up there. his heart grew heavier at each thought he did about who they had lost. She was right, he shouldn’t do that to himself. But if he wasn’t the one to take the blame, who would?
“I know, I did. But I could’ve tried harder.” he spoke. “We could’ve stopped him, we could’ve prevented all this from happening. And now we’re here. Without our loved ones.” he spoke. “What is left of us? An illusion of our previous self. I don’t know what to do anymore.” he spoke. "How dod you do that? how do you stay so positive?"
