“It- it’s nice to meet you too,” she said distractedly. In her mind, she was already turning over a few theories. It was possible that he was a version of her from another universe.
He raised a brow, knowing this wasn't a coincidence. Perhaps this is one of those alternate universe versions of me... "Tell me Janie, what's the name of your ship as well as your chief medical officer? That is, if you don't mind my asking."

“Taking a break are you? Well, come right on over here and take a load off. I don’t bite.”
“Captain?” Spock looked at the familiar smile and wondered if he was not playing a joke on him. “Why would you bite?”
Shaking his head, Jim chuckles even more. "It's just a saying Spock. It's to assure someone to not be nervous around me."

“You serve the Terran Empire, right?”
“Yes.” Spock narrowed his dark eyes, taking in the man’s appearance. The uniform was wrong. The emblems were wrong, but it was the look in his eyes that was the most telling. “And you do not. You are not my captain.”
"You're right Mister Spock. I am most certainly not your captain." Keeping his guard up, he continued to engage the mirror version of his best friend. "How did you get back to this dimension? I thought you went back to where you and your crew came from."
“Oh, I knew that I recognized you! You’re even more beautiful that I imagined you’d be.”
“Thank you, sir. I was designed to be aesthetically pleasing.”
"Of course. Only the best from Starfleet."
"And this is pure speculation, but are you by chance an android?"

“Taking a break are you? Well, come right on over here and take a load off. I don’t bite.”
In the two seconds following the captain’s idiom-riddled invitation, Spock’s expression shifted— but only through the barest movement of his eyebrows, of course— from confusion to resigned frustration.
“I would like to state that I am not taking a break. I am simply… seeking something to occupy my time while I wait for the astrophysics lab to become available.”
The captain chuckles. "Right. Well, if you want to chat to pass the time feel free to take a seat." He leans against the table, resting his head in his hand as he continues to look at Spock. "What do you need the lab for anyway Mister Spock?"
"Well I certainly wasn't expecting anyone to come down here to my quarters, but welcome."

How is this even possible…? “What are you doing here on my ship?”
The very sight of Kirk brewed an anger within him, an anger reflected in his tone of voice. He would kill him now if it were not that he wanted this damnable starfleet captain to suffer as he did.
“Your ship? It should be mine! Ohh Kirk you do realize that when you marooned my beloved to that planet those years ago that you sent her to her death? Court Marshal or Exile is the choice you gave her. You probably do not even remember her name, now do you? You and your precious fleet acclaim themselves as civilized and mighty, oh how a lie that is you are more savage than the time I came from just with shiner vessels and a so often ignored prime directive.”
“Look.” Kirk stands, shaking with anger. “Starfleet may be imperfect and I know damn well that I am one of the most imperfect in my crew, but you.” He points at the older man. “You are a tyrant worse than any other! You’d kill simply to make a point and to better your position and I simply cannot accept that!” The captain is seething now with anger. “And the fate of your people is completely on you! Your actions caused them to be put into the situation and thus the blame is to be put directly onto you!”
“Kirk, call me what you will but I am no tyrant. I offered the world order! And what do you do? Cast me and my crew out!”
“And don’t act so holier than thou Captain, it is not like you haven’t killed to further yourself or at least gave some cowardly order to have someone killed for you. All because you are not the one with the phaser in your hand does not mean you’re hands are clean. I am willing to bet not all of Neptune’s Oceans can wash the blood from your hands Captain”.
He noticed how he dodged the comment about his wife which infuriated him. “Her name was Marla McGivers! and what a choice you gave her. Court Marshal which in my century and in this century would have ended in her death or exile on that planet that also caused her death. What a choice you gave her death or death. And you saw so little in her it took you ages to even pronounce her name correctly and she was one of your own. Despicable.”
He narrowed his gaze upon the other man to a glare as he spoke. To call his decision to send Marla down to that planet as mercy practically murder burned him up inside. "How dare you..." Kirk growled out. "The decision to send Marla down into exile with you was to save her life from the possibility of being executed for treason!"
Jim sneered as he continued. "And I do what I have to to ensure the safety of my crew. We both may have been the cause of death Khan, but your's are for a sinister cause." He takes a step closer to Khan. "Now I suggest that you come with me to return to your exile."

“Well there you are.”
“You realize you still haven’t had your physical, oh mighty captain?”
“Physical? Bones, you know how much I just love getting those.”
“No, I have much better things to worry about then a little check up.
“Well, if you have some kinda space worm in your gut that ya didn’t know about and my physical weeds it out, you’d be worshipping the ground I walk on.”
“Yeah? Bet that green-blooded hobgoblin could handle it for ya.”
"You've always had a way with words Bones."
"Go on then. May as well get it over with while I'm down here."

“Captain Jamie T. Kirk,” she replied, giving him a small smile.
"Well, that is certainly a nice name you have there Jamie." He returned the smile, still feeling a tad bit unsure about the situation. "I'm Captain James T Kirk. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Another Kirk, hm?" He placed the cup on the counter next to him and crossed his arms across his chest. "Odd. I'm Jim Kirk. Where are you from Janie?"

“I am the USS Enterprise, sir.”
"Oh, I knew that I recognized you! You're even more beautiful that I imagined you'd be."
