Dating Penelope and getting hurt by a monster would include:
Her always hating that you’re part of the Scooby Gang as she calls them.
Danger always seems to follow them and she doesn’t want you caught in the crossfire.
Her always warning Hope to make sure nothing happens to you.
“Mikaelson it will be your head.”
Dorian needing a specific seaweed to make a cure for a sickness going around the school.
You and Hope going out to find it in a nearby lake.
You two decided to split up in order to cover more water and find the necessary plant.
You seeing what seems to be a glimmer of gold at the bottom of the lake - Which Dorian told you to look for as the seaweed is golden in colour.
You figuring the movement you see out of the corner of your eye is only a fish while you dive.
You holding onto the seaweed when you are suddenly yanked away from it, a small piece staying enclosed in your hand; an excruciating pain firing up in your calves as talons sink into you.
You trying to see what grabbed you but the water surrounding you seeming to be clear of anything.
That’s when you see something else, a sea serpent swimming towards you at lightning speed but the most terrifying part being how the water around it bubbles.
You not being able to reach the surface in time, the serpent curling around you burning you as it sinks it’s razor sharp teeth into your shoulder. It feeling like you were getting stabbed by hot irons when it’s teeth penetrates your skin.
Water pouring into your lungs as you let out a scream no one would hear at the excruciating pain, it felt as if you were being burned alive.
You feeling a new pain as what grabbed you earlier grips your throat, razor talons digging into you.
You losing consciousness the moment it rips it’s talons from your throat.
You fading in and out of consciousness, you remember waking up sputtering out water seeing Hope hovering over you with a worried expression.
You later found out that Hope cleared her part of the lake so she was on her way to look in your section when she saw you sinking towards the bottom of the lake.
Penelope pacing the entrance of the school waiting for you and Hope to return.
Penelope immediately going into action the moment she sees Hope carrying you, she’d rush ahead to let the staff know that they need to help you, no matter how much she wanted to hold you in her arms.
Her not being able to hold back tears when she sees the extent of your injuries: burns littering your body at where the serpent touched you, your cloths being seared into your skin while the bite on your shoulder was an angry red. The talon marks on your throat and legs bleeding profusely.
Penelope not wanting to leave your side when Emma is trying to heal you.
Emma having to send Penelope out of the room when you start screaming in pain as she starts seperating the seared clothing of your skin.
“You shouldn’t see this.”
Penelope protesting until she is removed by force.
Her not moving from her spot slouching against the door trying not to focus on how much pain you’re in but it’s the only sound she can hear.
Penelope feeling like she can finally breath again when the door opens and Emma says you’ll be fine.
The following morning you wake up to see Penelope sleeping in a chair she moved next to your bed.
One of her hands clasping yours.
Her waking up long after you.
You decided to let her sleep as it was clear she was exhausted.
Her being a little embarrassed after she wakes up.
“You’re the one who’s supposed to be sleeping.”
You knowing she probably got no sleep since your room is incredibly organised - something Penelope does when she’s worried.
Dorian giving a salve that you have to put on to heal your wounds, including the burns since magic couldn’t completely heal you.
Penelope jumping at the chance to help you.
It feeling like her heart dropped in her chest when she sees just how badly burned you are.
Her straddling you to apply the salve.
Her gently rubbing it into your skin, her eyes tracing the burns before her gaze meets yours.
Penelope leaning down to kiss you, her hands resting on your bed on either side of your head.
Your hands resting on her thighs.
Penelope cupping your face after you pull away to breathe.
You noticing how she’s blinking away tears.
“Please don’t get hurt again.”
Penelope tracing the scars that stayed behind, specifically the small cuts on your throat and the bite mark on your shoulder.
If you were insecure about them Penelope would be sure to remind you how wonderful you are, “Plus you saved the school with that piece of seaweed you kept holding onto.”
Her kissing the scars when you two are alone.
Penelope having nightmares of your attack well after it occured.
Her showing up in your room, her hair mused and eyes filled with unshed tears.
Her wordlessly crawling into bed next to you.
Penelope laying her head over your heart, as your arms encircle her waist.
If you tried asking her about it, Penelope would shrug your concern off, “Sleep now, talk later.”
Her being angry with herself, she’s supposed to be strong for you not the other way around.
More protective than usual.
Almost to an unbearable amount.
Penelope doing her homework in your room so she can keep an eye on you.
Her being irritable in class because she just wants to know how you are.
