It's been awhile since I made a post. Things have taken an unexpected but delightful turn since December. I've become an officer for the Video Production Society at NCSU and I'm currently organizing a student film festival for the NC Research Triangle area focusing on NC State, UNC, and Duke. The image above is a mock-up I created for a mobile app proposal I submitted to NCSU Libraries. I'm excited to announce that the project was approved and developing this will be one of my main focuses next semester. 

The main intent of the app is to allow students to request a tech assistant to meet them at their work station versus them having to come to the help desk. Development begins in January and I look forward to posting more updates in the future!

One of my biggest interest outside of technology and art is entrepreneurship. I spent two weeks producing a promotional video for ThinkHouse and hope to document their progress going forward.

"ThinkHouse is an entrepreneurial co-living space in Raleigh, NC. The space will house around 10 post-grad entrepreneurs pursuing their own ventures."

Projects like this are why I'm proud to be resident of The Research Triangle. There is so much innovation, education, art, and communities focusing on sharing ideas and giving them life.

Joshua Davis's Introduction to Generative Art

Last week I started taking a Graphics Programming class instructed by Joshua Davis via Skillshare (http://skl.sh/172Jpgf). A research project that I'm really excited about starting in the near future requires a solid foundation in generative art and data mining so I figured I'd go ahead and get started. The class is meant to be an introduction to Processing and Hype and I'm glad to finally add these to my creative tool box. I really enjoy (and recommend) the class and look forward to posting the work I produce to this blog in the future!

Meter Maid

"Roy is a meter maid with the world against him. With the help of his brother Lenny he will face his enemies and claim his roles as the greatest meter maid to ever exist."

This month I worked as a producer on the project "Meter Maid". It premiered on Sunday and won Best Drama at CMF. I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet and work with the talented Sam Mazany and Rob Russell during my last year on campus. As well as the rest of the crew. It was an exhausting week well worth the results! Enjoy!

First Post!

I've decided to start a blog to share some additional pieces of my portfolio, progress updates, and blurbs about my explorations with communication technology. Over the next couple years I will be putting a tremendous about of time into studying generative art, coding, and data mining. I will also continue to indulge in my older hobbies: video production, art, and traveling. This blog will be a convergence of my adventures between the two. Let the blogging begin!
