The soldier drifted, already well-accustomed to the feeling of the chemicals prickling through her body, trailing little sparks of pain as they woke her frozen nerves. Gradually it became easier to breathe, easier to keep her eyes open and watch as her captain stirred. One of the masked men approached the other gurney and changed the bags on the captain’s IV before sliding his arm beneath her head and helping her to sit upright.

The soldier tried to do the same, but she succeeded only in tangling the IV line on the side of the bed and ripping the needle from the back of her hand. A few drops of blood fell to the floor, deep red against the white tiles, and one of the techs swore.

"I think that one needs a few more minutes," the man supporting the captain said dryly.

"I noticed." The other man pressed his hands to the soldier’s shoulders, holding her down, and said, "You stay still till we tell you you can move. That’s an order, soldier."

She frowned slightly, but orders were to be obeyed. That was one lesson that neither she nor the captain would ever forget.

"…Sir," she affirmed after a moment, her voice rasping like sandpaper.

"Good." He released her and turned his head to address someone behind him. "Get me a clean cannula. She popped one of hers out."

             The captain accepted the help, unsteady as always after the first minutes out of cryo. Her eyes had since adjusted to the harsh sterile lab-light, and she let them wander for a few seconds, although they inevitably landed on the soldier beside her. 

She couldn't help but smile, an almost painful gesture like a knife-slash across her features, and let out a huff of air at the other's antics, before growing solemn. It wouldn't do for the other to be injured before they were even assigned their mission. It wouldn't do for her to be injured, period.

"<Graceful,>" she commented, hacking. "<Do as they say, or you will  damage yourself.>"

It had already been said, and her throat hurt distantly, but the soldier was her charge. Content with her order, she leaned back and watched as the medics arrived with new equipment, bustling around efficiantly to restore them to mission-ready status.

And then, she addressed the technician for the first time, bowing her head respectfully -- or so she thought, the movement seemed drilled into her but without much meaning. "<Mission, sir?>

So the purpose of this meme is to give a little info on your muses without having to rely on others to fill your ask with meme questions. I know how disappointing it can be to come back to an empty ask so I wanted to create a meme that anyone and everyone can do (mun and muse). The rules are simple, you do not need to be tagged to fill out the questions, but once you have you must reblog and tag 10 of your followers to spread the love (as well as add a question of your own to the bonus section).
