sometimes i feel like an utter failure for all the people i must let down.
Lost.
I like to stay uncomfortable so that I am more inclined to remove myself from the situation. If only that helped.
It's easy some mornings to wake up unafraid of risks and the future, but as soon as the realization of your bravery sets in, your metal armor becomes invisible.
One of my worst decisions is deciding to read Perks of Being a Wallflower as an ebook. The style of narration changes, and it does a disservice to Charlie. That's the hard thing with ebooks; you can never pass on a well loved copy. Digital will always be an uncharming string of 1's and 0's.
I think nurture definitely plays a role in how we grow up viewing relationships. Sure, we had television and books and movies to help gauge our points of view, or direct our development, but what was happening physically around us had a greater impact.
I don't want to read something that just tells me what opinion to have. Present your ideas in a thoughtful way and I'll weigh your words against my notions and create my own thoughts.

All of my life has a way of just falling behind Can't you stay a little longer Can't you stay for dinner, my friend My pretend
I see blue sky out my window. I see blue sky out my window but it doesn't entice me to leave. I see blue sky but what can it offer me.
"I'm just ready."
What are you ready for?
"Not this."
I have never been in a situation where I had to strongly and passionately debate my side of thinking. I've fought for my point of view in design, but I feel incapable of defending my opinions on other, grander matters. It's the wrong mindset to have, but what do I know anyway?
This is sooooo contemporary
I can't live by an on/off switch. I can only do the best I can.
To be a spectator is to receive information as well as translate the collected matter into action

Each time I put down The Giver, I was left more and more unnerved, yet still intrigued. All of these feelings, are very much paralleled within the story, and upon finishing it, I'm left longing for more, which if you've read the story, is how we are supposed to feel after given a memory.
Un-
Unsettled stomach,
unnerved head,
uneasy heart,
unsteady hands.
