In 2018, I read 41 books - 14 fiction, 27 non-fiction.
The first book I read was Washington Policy Center’s “Policy Guide for Washington State” and the last book I read was a re-read of “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee.
I read the Millennium series for the first time (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, etc.)
My Shakespeare read of the year was “Two Gentlemen of Verona.”
I read 5 books from Our Shared Shelf’s reading list: “The Radium Girls,” “Heart Berries,“ “The Hate U Give,” “Women Who Run with the Wolves,” & “The Power.”
I started re-reading the Harry Potter series for the 2nd time - I got to book number 3.
I also started reading from the Nancy Drew series again, ones I never read as a girl - I read 3 in 2018.
Self-Help/Psychology: 9
Biographies: 9
Policy/Humanitarian/Social Justice: 4
My favorites, or recommendations, would be Bob Woodward’s “Fear,” and “Braving the Wilderness” by Brené Brown as both of these books are very relevant to America’s political & social environment.
