Whispers circulated that the mysterious figure was not quite human, and for a while the people of Xing perceived him as a possible threat, but the fears of the population at large were generally appeased over time as he appeared to age and live out his life like any normal person would over the following decades. Xing eventually learned to accept the strange man’s near-constant presence at the Emperor’s side, and history came to regard him as one of the most important people in Emperor Yao’s life, along, of course, with his co-captain of the Guard, Lan Fan.”

....... so I was thinking about my Greed-comes-back-to-life-and-goes-to-Xing AU…. and how he would get to like, age and mature like any other person…. and grow old alongside the people he cares about…….. and live a long and fulfilling life….………. and no I’m not crying you’re crying
