To allow her to fight would only make it worse. I understand she cares about you very dearly and wants to protect you-but she’s focusing too much on her anger, and in turn wishes to destroy the Hunter. However, he and Eren share the same body, so to destroy the Hunter, she would also have to harm him as well… something she would normally never do, as he is also her friend. It’s for this reason, and the fact that she desires to involve her family as well as Prince James that I will be returning her to Eleutheria… assuming I’m able to talk some sense into her. She may not want to do it all things considered, but it would be for the best.  Are we agreed? “

Her willingness to protect me is foolish and suicidal... but noble... and appreciated.” His shamed gaze lowered slightly and his hands clasped together at his waist. “I do not want her in harm’s way... believe me. My concern for her safety takes precedence over all else. I don’t want her to witness what could become of me... or of Eren. Do what you must to keep her from danger... We are in full agreement, rest assured.”

   “For the moment, yes... I believe so, however, with things as they are I cannot make any promises, Vai.” The royal bypassed the extended hand in favor of an extended embrace. “I cannot begin to apologize enough for my prolonged absence... Please, forgive me.”

He tried keeping me as his prisoner- again, I might add.  It’s for that reason I’ve lost all compassion towards him. The only reason I’ve allowed him to keep living is so he can die; slowly and miserably, like he deserves.. and you can hate me for saying that, if you want, but I’m certain you would be feeling the same way right about now.       Dolly too. Sebastian wasn’t the only one who once wanted to help the heartless prince... and he wasn’t the only one who had turned cold in the process. Is this what he sounded like when he made the decision to let his sweet paramour die? He wanted to be the one to make him suffer... to give Belarius a heart with which to love and shatter it in a million pieces. In truth, he still wanted that. After all of this time, he still felt bitter about the pain that Belarius had caused him. Was it not Bela’s fault as much as it was his own?

       The blonde hissed in pain as darkness thrummed in his heavy heart once again. “Despite what I’ve done... I cannot let Freygard fall due to Bela’s pettiness. When they attack, it’s our borders that’ll bleed first. Freygard’s most innocent citizens will be lost... and for what?” Self-sacrifice was something he was willing to do, but he was not so foolish to believe it would stop Eleutheria from slaughtering his people.  “Then can we compromise. Dolly? If I can convince you not to stand in front of me, then will you stand beside me in this? Freygard needs numbers... and I need loyalty. Can you help me turn the tide?”
