Anyone else only in their 20s but feel like they are running out of time to get their life together??
Real talk
I've been a bit absent lately.... And there's a reason.
Several weeks ago, on a whim, I applied for a job in Melbourne. I never thought I would get it. A few weeks went by, and I didn't hear anything so I put it in the back of my mind.
Last week, they emailed me for a Skype interview which I had on Friday. By Tuesday this week they had offered me the job.
So, I guess I'm moving to Melbourne then.
Shit.
Guess I won't be doing that half marathon I've been training for hahaha.
I'm going to keep training though.
My whole schedule is a bit out of whack after I went home to visit my mum. I'm allergic to cats and my mum has one. So I've been congested and sneezing since Saturday! Boo! I've been on one run all week, which was good! I'll get back on schedule next week. I'm just going to enjoy getting better and go to bed.

Drs appointment again today
Getting the results of my latest blood tests. I've had a low white cell count for my last 4 blood tests, so they tested me for all kinds of scary things.
I wish bodies had a warranty return policy. Like sure, some of my problems are user error (low b12 and low iron). But some are manufacturing faults (my knee, my skin and my allergies).

OK! Running! Top run is my solid state short run from this morning. It was great! A very foggy morning though, I thought like I was running in some kind of horror film. I have also been experiencing some knee pain. I was wondering when this would come back. I never really fixed the problem last time, I just kinda stopped running. I know what I need to do to fix it, so that’s the good news.
The second run is my interval run from yesterday. I always find these to be really punishing, but I know if I want to get faster I have to do them. I have always found distance really easy to build, but speed is much more difficult for me.
And why am I wearing a sparkly skirt? It’s part of a costume I’m having made for a dance performance I’m doing in September. It’s a surprise, but I will give you a hint… Its mermaid themed. I’m kind of the mermaid girl at my studio!

Today I had a quick recovery run followed by a big stretch as I didn't have any time after my long run yesterday (oops!). I find I really only need to stretch my calves, hamstrings and glutes (which I also roll with a cricket ball). I worked so hard to get my flexibility to where it is, I just don't want to lose my progress. I have an upcoming pole dancing performance, so I also purchased my first lot of bio glitter which is pretty exciting. I got a few colours, it's hard to pick just one!

Got out for a run, I talked myself in and out of it many many times, even convincing myself just to walk it, but I got out there and ran straight from the get go and loved it. I was meant to run for 25min, but I got to 15min and was STRUGGLING in the wind. I talked myself into running for another 5min to bring it to 20min run and ended up being just over 3km non stop run so I’ll claim that 🙌🏼 I did have to stop a couple times to stretch my calves because they began to ache, but I’ve stretched post run now, and that’s not bad considering the last run I did was 3 weeks ago.
Now to wash my hair, thinking of doing my lush coffee face scrub also. The life. Oh and it’s my Sunday so I need to make lunch for work tomorrow, chicken salad, fruit and eggs.
Totally crushing it!
