The Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland has given £5,000 to Great Britain’s women’s deaf football team to enable them to take part in the Deaf World Cup in Italy

A great story to end the year: The British deaf women’s football team is crowdsourcing to raise £10,000–half their needed £20,000–to participate in the 2016 Deaf World Cup. Stoke’s Jack Butland gave them £5,000, with this lovely message:

The funding campaign is still going, with the team hoping now to raise the full amount.
