Facebook is adding live games from Mexico’s top soccer league to its growing streaming sports portfolio.
Through a deal with Univision, the social network will broadcast 46 Liga MX games, starting Saturday with Club America at Chivas and running through the playoffs. The commentary will be in English and Facebook’s streams will only be allowed in the U.S. (x)

Farewell, Brana
A few weeks ago, we were talking about Branislav Ivanovic’s start at Chelsea, when he didn’t play for eight months. Who would have thought then that he would become not only a key player (even out of his preferred position), but also a club legend? It is terribly sad to see Brana go, but he gave us everything he had, on and off the pitch, and we’ll miss him deeply. Best of luck, sir.
Some of Brana’s best moments:
Celebrating with his son Stefan
Stefan scores a goal
Outraged that this friendly is over
Eastern European time
The Branislav Ivanovic Cup
Got back
Motherfucker, you should be celebrating with ME
Over-celebrating Didier Drogba’s award
Auto-correct typo
Allow him to avenge that bite
Dancing or…something?
That Europa League winner
And celebrating that goal

Juventus 2-1 AC Milan | Coppa Italia | 25.01.2017
53′ Goal by Carlos Bacca
On the 21 January 2017, Brazilian football club, Chapecoense played their first match since the tragic plane crash which killed most of their team on the 28 November 2016. They were travelling to the final of the Copa Sudamericana, the biggest match in the clubs history. In light of what happened, the Copa Sudamericana was awarded to Chapecoense, and the survivors and family of those who sadly died were awarded with the trophy before their first match. An emotional day for everybody involved.
Models of Stamford Bridge through the years (x) Hammersmith and Fulham council’s planning committee will decide today whether to back the plans to demolish the current 41,600-capacity Stamford Bridge stadium and replace it with the new venue. London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, will have the final say on whether Chelsea can build their new stadium. With the construction of the new stadium expected to take three years, meaning that on the current schedule Chelsea’s new home would be ready for the 2021-22 season.
Breaking news update: Chelsea have secured planning permission for the new stadium. Historic moment for the club, thank you to all involved! Can’t wait, and a 60k seater for one of the most expensive plots of land to build on in London, and in such a small amount of space with rail lines surrounding.. this is one impressive project.
Farewell, Mikel
Farewell to Mikel, after a successful decade at the club in which he won everything. As the Chelsea site said, he ‘possessed the happy knack of saving his very best performances for when it mattered most.’ Frequently underrated outside the club, he hopefully knows how much Blues fans loved him.
The best of Mikel:
His HSPN-level nickname at the club
He’s got Robbie’s shoe!
His greatest moment (the Champions League final)
He & David Luiz go after faces & hair
In defense of him
He scores. The end.

19
Crystal Dunn, on wearing 19:
‘Her number came out of retirement [at University of North Carolina] and Mia Hamm asked me to wear it,’ Dunn revealed. ‘My first reaction was I didn’t want to play badly and ruin the number. She said it would mean a lot, so I wore it for three years, won a ton of awards in it and eventually retired it again.
‘I’m not one of those people who believes in luck, but Mia Hamm’s jersey is still very special to me. I’m very happy it was made available at Chelsea – and Diego Costa is wearing 19 so this is a good number!’
This is awesome.
