That sounds like a difficult problem. I would tell her that you want to share something that you are a little afraid to bring up. Explain that regression is where you feel as if you are younger than you are, and that it’s a healthy coping mechanism that many people use. Tell her it’s a happy place for you, and you want her to know about that part of you.
