hello strangers and friends. i'm eva and i have way too many interests and obsessions i'm not even gonna bother listing them here. actually whatever why not: writing, music, binge watching tv shows and obsessively shipping people as if it's my own love life, cooky old buildings and long, fancy words that make me sound like an arts major, those obscure poems that you might remember from high school english classes, writing songs that I only ever play to for my dog, looking for odd little coffeeshops and walking along artistic old streets, watching food network just to envy the super picky judges that get to eat all the food, etc, etc. i think the world would be a better place if we all just realized that we are not just faces on the street or members of a group, but rather that we are all made up of stories and experiences, some of which we barely survived, some which are unique to us, and some which we share with someone else. also i think it's unfair to the other letters if i follow the rules of capitalization plus i was too lazy to press the shift key so grammer nazis come at me. and to all of you who cared enough to read this whole thing, you are probably my most favourite people ever ♥♥♥♥♥
I can't believe I FINALLY started reading this book again. And i say "again" because I have a terrible habit of being disloyal to my books when I decide to read like ten at once. I've had this book since almost two years ago and i'm so glad to finally get back to it now. It's funny though because I decided to read this series after I watched BBC's Sherlock (yes I am one of those people) and John Watson and Martin Freeman's John Watson are like polar opposites. But they’ve still got the same kind of undying loyalty that kind of makes me think of a puppy, only John Watson is like the trusting, unquestioning, devoted golden retriever and BBC John Watson is like this....this fiesty, spunky, but still-willing-to-follow-you-around-because-he-really-does-love-you terrier (I know, terrible analogy but you get what I mean).
I just started getting into the “The Six Napoleons” and it’s giving me “The Blind Banker” vibes even though the storylines are totally different. It’s kind of fun to guess which SH stories BBC will remake next, and at this point I can’t really say which one I would prefer because so far the stories have all been magnificent but hopefully after I have read the other SH books I can try to pick out the top five that I think would make awesome adaptation.
I guess I can’t really call this a review yet because I’m still kind of in the middle of this so I’ll just call it a “pre-review” for now. Anyways, hope y’all are having a awesomesauce Friday night!!
I love scenes where ppl are playing poker and they show someone’s cards and the music gets intense cause I have no idea how the fuck the game works like is this good or bad we just don’t know
*when I don’t know places we can hide*
*when he doesn’t see me in hindsight*
*when these hands had to let it go free but this love did not come back to me*
*when we go out of style*
*when looking at it now, it all does not seem so simple*
*when your mom yells at you to put some damn clothes on when you are quite clearly dressed because robes are clothes*
*NO WHALE
