Hi there! It’s been a while since I posted on my blog. Well, I’ve been busy with my Pharmacy Student Life. Well, I can describe my third year pharmacy student life, it would be “B U S Y” (AF). Haha. (I mean it though)
Anyways, my brother graduated, finally. After venturing to various courses, he finally choses Food Technology as his profession. Congratulations to you kuya!
Okay, back to the outfit. This is what I wore during his graduation at Xavier University, Cagayan de Oro. I really planned to wear something formal yet comfortable that day since I was the “photographer” during the event. Technically and honestly, I am not a fan of flint shirts but this one caught my eye not just because I like the pattern but because of it’s price meep and the texture, as well.
I am really fond of the “90′s” fashion. Loose checkered sleeves, tucked in a slim fit slacks with a belt paired to the colour of your shoes. Well, here’s my version of my modernized “90′s” outfit.
What I’m wearing: Flint Shirt from Cotton On| Slacks from Arrow | Shoes from Milanos | Specs | Army Green Life Saver Watch
Ripped/Tattered Jeans is the new trend for both gents and ladies. Some people just DIY (Do IT Yourself) it but there are also available ready-to-wear tattered jeans in most Shopping Malls. Well, in this case, I bought this ready-to-wear because I’m afraid I will not do it properly. But, even if you DIY-ed it or you bought it, it doesn’t matter. Basically, it is the same thing.
Here are the 3 reasons why for me, it is a must have:
1. Versatility. I just love how Ripped Jeans/Tattered Jeans can be paired by almost all kinds of tops. Sleeves, Button Downs, Shirt, Tank tops, you name it.
2. Appearance. I like how ripped/tattered jeans looks so “edgy”. It is a sort of a an “eye catcher” for your whole look. Clever, right?
3. Artsy. I don’t know why but for me, ripped/tattered jeans is an instant hit for me. Like in every shred of the cloth, there is a distinct story behind it. Well, it sounded very poetic.
For the totality of the look, I paired my ripped jeans with a powder blue wash sleeves just to complement with my jeans. Neutral-colored boots to pop some color without breaking the consistency of the whole outfit.

2nd semester is coming. So, that means, I will rarely blog because I’ll be busy for school, orgs and (life?) haha. Kidding aside.
Anyways, H&M is opening in Cebu soon! H&M is a global fashion brand founded in 1947. H&M is a pioneer of design collaborations with style icons such as Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Roberto Cavalli, Comme des Garçons, Sonia Rykiel and Lanvin. (Via H&M’s facebook page)
H&M covers various fashion statements from Men, Women, and even Kids. The store is located at Ayala Center, Cebu. Watch out for the grand opening soon! I will surely love this store.
Also, H&M is currently having a contest wherein you’ll post your OOTD with the hastag #HMLOVESCEBU on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook and get a chance to win 5000 worth of shopping spree! How cool is that? Well, this might be my entry.
Talking about what I wear, they say, wearing denim on denim is “too much” or “wrong”. But I say, when you’re wearing denim on denim with the same wash and color that complements with each other, then it’s not a no no. Also, denims with a light wash and color is a must on your wardrobe, it doesn’t just give you a “blogger-ish” feeling but actually, you can wear it everyday! Actually, it’s just a matter of experimenting yourself on what to wear but always bear in mind that comfort is over style. That’s it. Semestral break is about to end so that means that busy and hectic days are coming. I decided to use these days wisely by preparing a bulk of style posts for all of you guys.
Anyways, it may be awkward for one to pair a denim/casual top with a swim short on the bottom. But for me, it’s not. Been getting inspirations for my future blog posts by reading through my style blogger inspiration, David Guison, who is also fond of pairing swim shorts with corporate tops. I just love how my denim sleeves complemented with my red swim shorts and somehow made it stand out.
One technique I can share to you based also on my observations on other style bloggers is that if you want a certain color to “pop” on your outfit, use neutral colors/palette and make the color you want to stand out, bright. Based on what I wear, I want my red swim shorts to be prominent so I used a gray v-neck shirt topped with a dark-blue wash denim to allow my swim shorts to “pop”. And one more thing, avoid mixing bright colors together. Aside from you will look like a Christmas Tree or a Mascot, it is just not pleasing to the eyes. (It sounded too rude though)

Festivals is one of the errands/events that we, Filipinos, are very fond of. From the colorful costumes, to the lively beats of music, to the shouts and praises of the locale, I guarantee you, Filipinos has a say on it.
In line of the Feast of Mother Virgin of the Holy Rosary, our City, Oroquieta, celebrates “Inug-Og Festival” that aims to inhabit and inculcate the culture of our Lumads, the “Subanens”.
“Inug-og” is derived from a Subanen word “Ug-og,” which means an intense shaking of a person’s two (2) shoulders when he/she wants to balance a load placed between them.
This is how the Subanen men and women, up to now, carry their farm produce, in areas where they have to go on foot because the place is too stiff for a farm animal to draw a cart and in the absence of a motor vehicle in their location to transport them.
Likewise, “Inug-og” could be derived from a local word “Og,” which is used when one asks somebody to help put a load on top of one’s head, like the practice of the Subanen women, who carry their wet clothings loaded on earthen wares on their heads back home, after washing them in the river bank.
The festival is a tribute to the Subanen tribe who inhabit along the numerous rivers inside the Mt. Malindang Ranges Natural Park (MMRNP), at the foot of which, Oroquieta, the capital of Misamis Occidental, is nestled.
Inug-og Festival also showcases different rituals and lifestyles of our Lumads. Like the traditional courting of a Lumad Guy to a Lumad Girl using a “red cloth” that he will place to the shoulder of the girl he is about to court and wait for the girl to accept it as a sign that she is accepting the offer of the guy. I just hope I explained it clearly.
The traditional wedding of the Subanens.
The Inug-Og Festival, in general, is a significant and symbolic activity that embodies the importance of knowing and giving attention the lives of our Lumads, Subanens. Viva Birhen sa Santo Rosaryo!
Its been awhile since I last updated my blog. I have been very busy and my schedule were hectic as hell. Studying all day and all night. But, Praise God! I passed all my subjects.
Anyways, finally got the chance to shoot (since it’s sembreak) with my friends for my blog during the birthday celebration of my dear friend, Kolleen, at one of the local resorts here in our province. Well, this is unexpected. The results went well so I decided to blog about my outfit also.
They say, stripes makes you look fat. Yes, I agree with that but I think with proper colour combo will not be bad. Been seeing a lot of style combination of Maroon and black. I kinda love it so I tried to pull it for myself also. I hope you can get an idea on your next OOTD with this. See what I’m wearing:
Striped Top from Topman
(Sorry for the background, the resort is still under construction)
Tapered Pants from RRJ
Loafers from Hush Puppies
(These are old already and didn’t expect these could still be useful)
Hat from SM Accessories
(Every blogger has one I think. Haha)
Sunglasses from Sunnies
Thank you to Shang’s Resort for the place. Very relaxing and cozy resort. And clean pools also! You should try there!
Second semester has been rough for me. I find it hard for me to balance my time and actually, been sleeping almost 4am every day. Stress, sleep, time are my opponents this semester. But I know, I'll get through this.
I promised to myself that during Christmas Break, I'll update my blog as many and as much as I can. And now, here's my first style blog this break. Layering up during Christmas season is a very good choice since the ambiance is cold but take note that we are on a tropical country( and ofcourse, we don't have winter season),so maintain a comfy and light layers. In this outfit, I pulled out a tri-toned "3/4" shirt layered with a denim vest and complemented with a Christmas-inspired socks to pop the color. I hope you can get an idea on this season's outfit!
Been out of track for a while because of many school works and I really felt the need to study hard. But, all the sleepless nights and stressful days paid off! It's very fulfilling! As a student, it's really important to put your studies first, anyways, those other things like blogging can have time after all those school stuff.
So, talking about blogging, here's another style blog. Cats? What I like about cats is that their eyes are very strong and sharp and they have variety of skin colors!Cuts? This is the shorts I made months ago. Since I have many extra pants that I barely wear, I decided to make a DIY shorts out from those Pants. I literally cut it off to my desired length and sewed the tip.(Clever, right?) Well, I shoot this style at my humble province. So, I hope you like it!

Perfect for this summer season and still give you that confidence and cozy feeling combined with those Sony Headphones that will really radiate you with music vibes. Great headphones though! And btw, wore this outfit after our beach activities in our second day in the island! Haha. Will blog about it soon!*please excuse my arms, knees, uneven skin tone* Haha.
