i probably still wont be frequent on here for a while, though?? i want to get around to rewatching some of the older seasons, so hopefully that will bring my muse back, but until then i’ll probably just come and go every once and a while. i do have another rp blog on here, though, for spencer reid from criminal minds. its drspencerrreid, so if youre interested in rping with me there, id love to have you!! i only just turned 19 on the 12th but the majority of my friends are younger than me by a few years i feel like an old man on several levels
Daryl had always seen the potential in Carl; he’d always seen traces of Rick in him. In fact, the archer was almost certain that he’d grow to be a fantastic leader – perhaps sooner than anyone thought. But it was nice to see him just being a teenager ; and if Daryl could be there to make him, then he wasn’t going to decline.
Moving out of the doorframe and towards the boy, he sauntered to the middle island of the kitchen and leant his forearms on it. He had absolutely no clue what Carl was really thinking (or what he was thinking when he made this monstrosity) but he figured there was no harm in finding out. Reaching toward him, Daryl grabbed the fork, staring at it for a moment before looking back at Carl, shaking his head in a ‘I can’t believe I’m about to do this’ sort of way.
❝ Can’t back out now. Any last words? ❞
His words were all in good humour and he smirked at Carl, happy to be distracted for now.
❝ Count of three. One, two… ❞
Truthfully, he only created this monstrosity to help a little around the house. Sure, preparing dinner probably wasn’t his best idea ever, but it was a nice thought, right? Now, though, as he actually examined it sitting on his fork, he knew he made a huge mistake. Still, a deal is a deal. “Three.” Taking a deep breath, and baring his teeth in a momentary grimace, he finally popped the food into his mouth. And, almost immediately spit it back out. At least he made it to the sink, though. That didn’t taste of this Earth, and he was the one who made it. It had only sat on his tongue for a few mere seconds and already his brows screwed together, as his entire body rejected the taste. Wrinkling his nose up and coughing, sputtering, he exclaimed a nose somewhere between “UGH” and “EW”. Never again.

Okay so people liked the post about my idea of having a birthday masterlist for twd rpers (the muns not the muses incase theres any confusion) so it would be awesome if you could all send me your birthdays (if you have multiple accounts then tell me all of your twd accounts) I’ll make up a masterlist of them and have it as one of the links on my blog and maybe be a post too. It would just be nice so we call be like celebrate and send you nice messages and stuff okay and I love knowing peoples birthdays. The brunette shook her head about how dumb Carl sounded when he called himself “Pretty”. To her, Carl WAS a pretty boy but hated to admit it.
“Actually, I was callin’ you a sissy, but, I guess what you said works too, pretty boy.”
After so many years they haven’t changed, they practically did everything they used to do when they were kids. Teasing, calling each other names, getting into trouble, but they didn’t get carried away.
“Yes, ‘Your Majesty’.”
She adjusted her black cap before walking beside Carl and tipped his sheriff’s hat over his eyes like she used to do when they were younger, laughing as she did.
“Hey—!” He nearly stumbled from the sudden tilt of his hat, the shadow casting over his eyes and startling him. Of course, he tried to look stern, or perhaps angry, but all of that soon crumbled when he couldn’t help but laugh. “Ya know, if I wasn’t so sure that you’d hit me, I’d take that hat of yours, and throw it.” Of course, he truthfully wouldn’t, though it wasn’t because of his fear of impending assault—she’d beaten him up plenty while they were growing up, he’d become accustomed to it—it was more because he knows the sort of value you put on things that could seem silly to other people. Still, he knew it would get at least a chuckle out of her, and he’d promised himself long before the prison ever fell that he’d make her smile as much as he could. Even if that meant being called a girl, on occasion. That is to say, he wouldn’t throw it, but he would flick the brim so it nearly fell off. What? Like he wasn’t going to get some sort of revenge?

“The ghosts we knew made us black and all blue, but we’ll be alright.” Every word dripped with as much belief as they did force, and both of his eyes flickered from Rick’s right to his left, and back again, making damn sure his father was listening. Carl truly believed, with his whole heart, that things would be okay. Things may not be perfect, but they’d be okay. Taking another measured step closer to Rick, he lifted his chin and made himself as level with the older Grimes as he could. He was nearly the same height as his dad, now, but he still had to look up to meet his gaze dead-on, and he made sure to do so. As his lips parted to speak once more, he bobbed his head just slightly, as he always did when he really tried to get a point across. “I know you don’t trust these people, yet. But, we’ll be okay, here. I know it. I just want you to see it, too.”

“Can’t sleep?” His question was more rhetorical than anything, and he enunciated that fact by scooting over and making enough room on the mattress for her petite form, without ever requiring an answer. A soft pat on the empty space was all the nudging he gave, but he expected it to be enough. “Well, you can lay in here, if you want.” The new space—-clean walls, friendly smiles, and fresh clothes on top of fresh skin—-it was hard to settle into for everybody. That childlike mentality of wanting to sleep with something you know, like an old shirt, a stuffed animal, or in this case a family member—-it stayed with you. Carl was perfectly content being the teddy bear for the evening. His body shifted just a little when her weight created a slight dip, but he didn’t bother moving back, and he wouldn’t for the rest of the night. When she ceased wiggling into place, and her breathing followed suit into a relaxed pattern, he curled his hand over hers, and squeezed it enough to get her attention. When her summer-sky eyes met his, he offered a sleepy grin, all soft edges and pillowy likeness. “Jus’ try not to steal the whole blanket, okay?”
