As Many of you know my wife passed away July 2017. It has been a while since I actually dated. It is scary, really complicated, I am naturally a person that likes companionship.
After a year of grieving, I finally gave myself permission to start dating again, so what are people doing these days to find others? Online Dating, a new world that seems like it would be easy but very different way of meeting people. there are plenty of different sites out there, all for different things people are looking for. What am I even looking for?
I have moved back on my own, bought a home (Water Walker, my 32’ Sailboat) and i thought i was ready to start looking for a companion. Well turns out I’m not ready at all.
I am 31 years old, and most people my age are now looking for their “one” and i already found my “one” and i just want to date again like in college. I have met a few wonderful people and have broken their hearts, because i just want(for now) someone that will go on my adventures with me, and hang out on the weekends, but give me the space that i still need in my healing process.
Something i made it a point to do is to be honest about everything, i feel honesty is the key to successful relationship, as well as being each other's best friend.
This dating world is hard, and i have to look at it as a new adventure, but my problem is i hate hurting people feeling, which ends up happening when, the dater is ready to move forward, and I’m still in this service level stage.
I just wanted to put my struggles out there, I’m sure I’m not alone, but this page a spot where i can put my life out there. hopefully let you know, that you are not alone, we are all struggling somehow. so this is why we are kind to all, because we don’t know what people around you are going threw.
