We could’ve arrived at our destination, and this song could’ve just begun. My dad would sit for the next six minutes listening to it in its entirety as it lulled him into serenity. As a child, I never understood how a seemingly melancholic, desolate piece of music could put someone at ease.

Sadly, love is a fickle thing, and something that cannot necessarily be taught; it has to be felt. And until you've felt every aspect of it, it's difficult to comprehend that the song lyrics aren't of heartbreak as much as it is a sense of peace and closure.

THIS ⬇️⬇️⬇️ came right on time. . I have been stuck in conference calls between writing assignments alllll...dayyyy...longgggggg 😐😑😐 . Sometimes I wonder if what I’m doing is worth the pain, the struggle, the heartache, the sleepless nights, and all without my person (or my baby dog 🥺). At times, leaving and starting over seems like the best decision, but then, after I have my dramatic moment, I realize everything worth having comes with a price.
