elixjackson:
It was a beautiful, sunny day in New York when Eli decided to visit Washington Square Park for a while. Granted, heâd never been a people person and enjoyed his solitude more than he probably should but even he got tired of his shoe box apartment every now and then. It was restricting. Sometimes Eli even felt as if the walls were closing in on him and it was then when he knew he just had to get out of his apartment building and his head before heâd go entirely insane. The only thing that gave him some sense of comfort in his home was his piano but whenever he didnât feel like playing, which was a rare occasion, Eli came here for some downtime. His legs were stretched out where he was sitting on one of the benches, his head tilted back with his face towards the sun and his arms crossed over his chest while he soaked up the rays of sunshine warming his skin. His eyes were closed behind the dark shades he was wearing but he could feel a personâs presence approaching him anyways, hearing their steps coming towards him which prompted him to speak up immediately. âThis seat is taken,â Eli huffed, not bothering to look up at whoever it was he was directing his words at. âIf you wanna sit, there are about a million other benches around here,â he mumbled, finally tilting his head forward a little, his eyes blinking open.
With Asiaâs leash in one hand and her phone in the other, Carmen allowed the small, eager pooch to guide her through Washington Square Park whilst green eyes hidden behind oversized shades reviewed the small text on her screen. In typical Carmen fashion, she had been absorbed in her own bubble, completely disconnected from the revolving world around her; hence the confused express that clung to her features when met with the sudden sound of an unrecognizable voice that huffed at her. However, confusion soon morphed into that of an unamused scowl as green eyes narrowed down at the stranger. âDoesnât look taken to me.â was the blondeâs rather nonchalant response before lowering herself onto the bench and commanding Asia to sit at her feet. A beat of silence fell between the two before Carmen remarked, without tearing her eyes away from her screen: âDo you make a habit of greeting strangers this kindly?â

jace-lucozade:
Jace was in a cafe, her feet kicked up on the chair across from her. She was escaping the falling rain for a bit and penning down some aimless words that drifted into her mind. She closed the book as a clap of thunder sounded, looking outside to see if any lightning would come about. Her hands wrapped around her coffee cup, warmth seeping into her skin. It was only when she felt another persons presence did she look away from the scene outside. âYou need a seat?â She asked, slipping her feet off of the chair, vans hitting the floor as she sat up. âTrying to get out of the rain huh?â
Carmen was in need of the current downpour precisely like she was in need of a bullet to the head, to put it gingerly. Sheâd soon curse herself up and down for going against her better judgement by risking a step outside despite the darkened clouds that hovered above, especially on a day her wig was laid for the gods -- over her rotting corpse would she allow for mother nature to sabotage her Art. Huffing, a now agitated and slightly dampened blonde sought shelter in a nearby cafe, if only until the rain lifted. Meanwhile, narrowed green hues shifted in direction of the unfamiliar voice that spoke, annoyance swirling her icy gaze. âUnfortunately so,â a slightly snappy tone answered through an inconvenienced huff (though she meant no harm) as she descended beside the stranger. âI should have taken a car instead of walking.â she further complained. Realizing she was being melodramatic, she offered something of an apologetic lopsided grin. âForgive me, today has simply not been my day... And weâre only just approaching noon.â
lucas-andrews:
âYou mean to tell me that you would like to spend the evening with yours truly? Because there are only two women I put above CĂ©line and you are one of them.â
âIâm appalled youâd think otherwise. It is the day of love after all -- who else am I meant to receive the abundance of love and affection required to keep me happy from? Iâm afraid thereâs only one Lucas Andrews in existence.â
What are your plans for Valentine's Day?
âValentineâs Day? Oh dear, I forgot that was coming up. I guess that is enough to let you know I donât exactly have any plans. Business as usual in the daytime, of course. Maybe a nightcap and my âCĂ©line Dion: Live in Las VegasâŠA New Dayâ Blu Ray in the evening.â
âInteresting... So you mean to tell me yours truly is left to her own devices this V-Day? How tragic.â
fck-itsvi:
Violet hadnât particularly wanted to do this, she had been wanting to just stay home. Carmen though, much like Nola, was someone she struggled to say no, especially if it was just to try something on or help out. She had pulled out the makeup and had packed it on over not only her face, but throat and neck as well, having not known what she would be wearing. She averted her eyes from the mirror, looking at the ground. A grimace left her lips as Carmen gathered the fabric back, unknowingly tightening it against her bruised side. âItâs feels fine, looks beautiful.â And it would, if her body wasnât sore, it would feel perfect.
It was almost exhausting how hyper aware the blondeâs third eye happened to be; every minuscule detail that transpired around her never went without notice whether she liked it or not. So to say she detected something was amiss with her model would be an incredible understatement as green hues intently studied over her features in a subtle manner. Doing her absolute best to avoid prying, the phrase âAre you alright?â left her lips with a warm lopsided grin, meanwhile idle fingers smoothed over the fabric of the dress. âIf youâre not up to this please donât hesitant to say so, darling. I understand it can be tiresome, and quite frankly boring at times.â she rambled in slight before allowing a pause of silence to fall between them. âLetâs take five, câmon.â the blonde insisted, extending a hand to help remove herself from the platform she stood on.
noladelrey:
Her input was often requested, and Nola loved to give her opinion, so being actually asked to was something she could never turn down. Designer heels clicked across marble as she entered the building, whispers from young models as the recognized her making her hold her head up even higher. If youâd asked her, she would have said she was in a good mod today, barely yelled at anybody and wasnât looking for a fight. Then her eyes landed on Carmen. The very sound of her voice brought Nola to a halt, dark eyes widening as she placed her hand on her hips. âOh hell noâŠâ Was muttered when she made her way into the room where the blonde was dressing her model. â Looks to me like sheâs ready to win last place at Lucky Changâs amateur queens night.â
The moments that occurred upon Nolaâs entrance unfolded like a scene directly off the silver screen -- the lively ambiance of the workroom drained instantly and replaced with a deafening silence as fiery narrowed glances were exchanged between the two powerful women who stood on opposite sides of the room. With one swish of her fingers every model collectively gathered their jaws off the floor and cleared the room, leaving Carmen and Nola in a heated standoff. âHow dare you.â Were the words that finally left her red lips after staring the other down for a long moment before Versace heels clicked across the marble floor with a purpose. âListen to me,â the blonde began, her words sharp as knives as they flew from her tongue, meanwhile an almond shaped nail sternly pointed itself towards the other to make her point across, â---if you have an issue with me, you take it up with me privately --- donât you ever disrespect me in a room full of clients like that again. Itâs one thing to carelessly tarnish your own reputation, but over my rotting corpse will I allow you to tarnish mine.â

ianbennett:
Ian felt like he had been standing up on a pedestal in front of large mirrors for at least an hour by now, then again, it couldâve just seemed longer because Carmen continuously stared at him â or rather the clothes on his body â while completely silent and it left him no choice but to stand there patiently. It was clear that she was in deep thought, doing her best to come through with results that pleased her. Ian scrunched his face when Carmen altered the pants with a simple tug of the fabric, making him shift uncomfortably as he tried not to grumble. âIt feels, uhmâŠ,â he reached down to grab at the seam between his legs and tugged on it a little, certain parts of him needing more room to breathe. âItâs a little too tight in the crotch area but I think they could stand to be taken in another inch or two otherwise.â Ian shared his opinion with a shrug, knowing Carmen would ultimately decide on what looked best. And he would support her choices â fashion was supposed to look good, not necessarily feel good â a sentiment they both believed in. âAm I being a fussy model? Do you hate me yet?â
Carmen found it nearly impossible to repress the laughter that now spilled from her lips when Ian called attention to the crotch area of his pants being just a smidgen too tight for him to reach absolute comfort. âWe all knew you were gifted in that area, but jesus, Ian --- youâre really putting me to work, arenât you?â the blondeâs teasing came paired with a lopsided grin as well as a playful wink before grabbing a couple of threading needles off her messy desk. âIâve only known you to be a fussy model, darling, Iâm quite used to it by now. If you havenât grown to hate me for all my faults then I certainly donât hate you the three faults you have --- now hold still or else Iâll stick you, and it wonât be for pleasure.â Carmen warned before sliding a sewing needle over her tongue and gently pushing it through the fabric of the maleâs trousers in the areas in which needed to be taken in.
knowinggeorgia:
Being a model Georiga was used to dealing with fussy, difficult and sometimes rude designers, and sheâd learned that sometimes keeping your mouth shut was the best thing, unless someone asked you a question directly. Standing on the spot Georgia lets Carmen play around with the fabric. â It feels good, maybe it could be slightly shorter though?â
âShorter?â the blonde repeated, contemplating the suggestion for a moment as she circled around the model like a hawk, her green eyes narrowed in thought. As much as Carmen was set in her ways about certain things, she wasnât above taking into account suggestions given to her by models -- ultimately they were the ones who were going to be wearing the pieces she designed so their comfort and opinions mattered a great deal to her. âHmm...perhaps it could do with being slightly shorter.â With that Carmen reached for the hem of the dress and raised the fabric approximately two inches, studying it briefly before quickly scribbling down a note in her portfolio. âJust a couple more pieces to try on before youâre free at last, think you can handle it?â
âHmmâŠâ Carmen pondered, her head tilt to one side in slight as an almond shaped nail pressed firmly against her pursed rosy lips, green hues inspecting her model intently for a long moment. âSomething just isnât quite right --- Iâm not able to pin-point what exactly.â the fashionista voiced, grappling the solution. Fashion was an art form to Carmen, it was the blood that coursed through her veins, so in order for her to be one hundred percent pleased with any project she worked on every little detail needed to be exactly in place --- which made working with her incredibly headache inducing, even that she could attest to. Making her way around the model, Carmen gathered the fabric together in the back and glanced into the mirror in front of her, âBetter.â she sighed in relief. âHow does that feel? Is it too tight?â
lucas-andrews:
Lucasâs breath hitched audibly the moment Carmen sat herself on his lap but his body responded as if it were the most natural instance in the world, an arm wrapping tightly around her crossed legs to pull her closer and more securely on top of him. His mind still had to process the return of these intimate moments, but they were so welcome, his eyes closed blissfully as soon as Carmen leaned in to press her soft red pout against his own lips. The familiar scent of her perfume filled him with euphoria, having a similar effect on him as a drug, causing him to smile against her mouth just seconds before their kiss was broken. Lucasâs chest ached at the intensity of her green eyes as they bore into his. âI miss eating Joeâs every night at two in the morning, eating properly nutritious meals and getting old really stinks.â He added with an amused grin, watching Carmen pull free a small pizza box and a plastic container that was generously filled with salad greens. Childlike excitement took over his expression as he reached over to flip the box open, groaning at the sight and smell of the large slices with fresh mozzarella in all their greasy glory. âLetâs dig in then, food fuels the brain and I donât think I could go on with this paper for much longer.â Turning in his chair, Lucas skillfully managed a bite of pizza without threatening the attire of the blonde in his lap, setting it down and going for a napkin to wipe at the corners of his mouth. âMm. What were you working on?â
âGod,â the blonde groaned, â---so do I! Adulting really stinks, doesnât it?â Images of a more youthful Carmen and Lucas sitting criss-cross on her rather shitty studio apartment floor stuffing their faces with Joeâs pizza to sober up at two in the morning flooded her thoughts, a small grin pulling at the corners of her mouth as she recalled the fond memories. Suddenly, though, the grin once worn by Carmen morphed into that of a nauseated expression as the scent of greasy cheese wafted the air and traveled up the blondeâs nasal passages, causing her stomach to whirl in an aggressive manner. In an effort to come across cool, calm, and collective (when she was everything but), the blonde shifted her body to the side and reached down to retrieve an item --- that she most definitely was not in need of --- from her bag which rested on the floor just beside her, masking her facial expressions from Lucas with her long blonde hair. After taking a few deep breathes Carmen quickly began to regain composure, a smile rushing to her red lips to make it appear as though everything was fine and dandy. âI was sort of all over the place, as usual.â a soft giggle escaped her. âI was on conference while sketching ideas for potential pieces --- forgetting I was on conference only to ask what the fuck was going on once my mind returned from space. It was hectic, and Iâm not sure how I have a team left with what I put them through but everyday I wake up and theyâre still with me so I must be doing something right.â
