I don't discuss the show much anymore but I'm not sure two characters ever touched me like the relationship between Abigail & Ichabod.

I truly miss them. And I thank the author of this fanfiction for reminding me why ❤

My newest obsession is this crazy, wonderfully well-written show called The Brave. If you're not watching it, you're missing out!! I've literally loved every show that Mike Vogel has been in and this is no exception.

Anyway... Season 1 just ended and I'm already in withdrawal so expect a bunch of fanfic to get me through until they renew Season 2!

Ugh….. I’m pretty much as big of a Miharie fan as I am Ichabbie. This is also why I can’t have nice things. I’m sorry in advance… ——————— She walked into the green room quickly after being drilled by almost 60 minutes from questions by ComicCon fans. She was tired. And hungry. And a little upset if she was honest with herself. Upset at him.

She jumped when she heard the door close leaving the two of them alone, and turned around to face him.

“You have to quit doing that…”, she said calmly, even though her face gave away her displeasure.

She watched his face turn up into a quick smirk before he spoke.

“Doing what?”, he said. Though he knew exactly what she was referring to.

“Don’t act stupid, you know what I’m talking about Tom.”

He breathed in heavily and sighed, never breaking eye contact. He watched as her face softened and she closed her eyes, rubbing her hands along her cheeks.

“You’re just making things more difficult… for me, when I leave.” She said quietly. “And for you.”

He had known for quite some time of her desire to leave the show. He was aware of it before she ever spoke the words. Nicole was unhappy. Unhappy with the writers and the way her character had been diminished in Season 2. Unhappy with the storyline and how nonsensical it was at times. But mostly, she just wanted to be free to do other projects. Projects close to her heart that she’d had to turn down for over 3 years by the FOX team because it distracted from her current contract.

He took a step closer to her and watched as she re-opened her eyes.

“I’m sorry”, he said earnestly. “I honestly don’t even realize I’m doing it half the time.”

She smiled. “And the other half?”

Tom thought about his words carefully. He knew she didn’t like when he praised her. When he made sure to let people know just how amazing he thought her to be. Whether it be about her acting ability or otherwise… Tom adored her. And he had a hard time hiding that fact.

“The other half I just do to annoy the snot out of you.” He said jokingly.

She laughed and a slow smile crept across his face. He loved her smile.

“You gotta stop with the whole Abbie / Crane thing too, ya know? You get all riled up whenever they ask us about that and I feel like I’m always the bad guy telling them it’s just platonic. When I leave…”

“Crane will be devastated.” He said abruptly. “And so will I…”

“Are you really throwing that on me right now?” She said, her mind whirling. He acted as though her departure was an easy decision.

It wasn’t.

“No. I’m just stating a fact.” He said. “I don’t know how to do this without you. I don’t want to.”

Nicole’s eyes dropped at his confession. He had never said those words before. When she told him she was leaving and being written off the show, he had supported her fully. Giving no clue as to how much misery she was causing him.

“There is no Crane without Abbie.” He said, his voice soft.

“Maybe not, but there is a Tom without a Nicole.” She countered back.

“Barely…”, he whispered softly.

She looked up at him, not quite sure what he meant, and was met with intense blue eyes staring back at her. She silently pleaded with him not to do this. Not to take them to a place where there was no return.

And before she could speak, a knock on the door broke through the silence; sending them both out of whatever tornado they had been spinning in and forced to come back to reality.

“Guys, your car is ready to take you back now.“

He didn’t move. Instead, watching her as she shouted thank you and began walking to open the door.

“Nicole…”, he called back, not yet willing to let go of the conversation they were involved in.

She kept walking.

New Headcanon… The “Abbie Mills” that came out of the catacombs, who was so distant from Crane and Jenny, who wouldn’t let Crane ove her, who kissed Danny, wasn’t the real Abbie Mills… she was a doppleganger like the fake Betsy Ross who lived out her life.

So Abbie Mills didn’t die… She is still alive somewhere out there waiting for Crane to find here.

Re-watching the scenes leading up to the final scene and I'm inclined to think she's not really dead. I'm not sure I can take the female leads from two of my favorite shows being killed off in back to back weeks.
