"Part deer huh?" Kyoko mused as she examined the girl, a small grin appearing on her features. "Hell yeah it does. I honestly think that its pretty damn cool. I’ve never met someone like ya before."

"I wish I could protect ya from the hunters an shit like that." Kyoko sighed, frowning at the thought of someone like that coming and trying to kill the deer girl. She didn’t want that to happen at all. She wanted to protect this girl. She wasn’t exactly sure why she was so attached to Sayaka, but the lancer couldn’t shake the feeling that protecting this girl was something that she needed to do. "Do ya want ta come back home with me? I dunno what ya can eat but…I’d feel better if ya were somewhere where I could keep ya safe."

"Eh? Ah, I dunno...I don't really like going near populated places like towns and cities. People see me and they react rather...negatively." Sayaka sighed. Not that she cared in the long run what humans truly thought of her. But, she didn't like putting up with it, surely. 

"Besides, I find an abundance of foods to live on around here. I'd rather not make a human adjust to having me around. And I wouldn't be around the forest enough to protect the other animals from the hunters...that's bad. So, don't worry about it, ne? I like it here."

"Yeah, I do enjoy eatin’ meat, ahaha,” she confirmed with a nervous laugh. She made a mental note to avoid talking about eating other animals around this girl. Kyouko liked collecting things. She wouldn’t have minded fetching plants for Sayaka. It was like a scavenger hunt and those were always fun.

"I can get ya some plants! Lots’a plants grow where I live, so… Hey— Ya ever try human food? I like ta sneak into the park at night and eat whatever they leave in the bins! Sometimes there’s funnel cake an’ corndogs!" Oh yes, corndogs were the best.

"Yeah, I eat human food too. I'm not all deer, you know."

Sayaka sighed. "I still avoid their meats though. I still know where they came from, so it makes me feel physically ill to eat it. I'm not quite sure my stomach is built to handle meat too well anymore anyway." Perhaps that was just part of her biology. Deer certainly didn't crave the flesh of other animals after all.

"Most human foods are rather unhealthy for me. But, what I can eat is tasty, I'll admit." And they had 'vegetarian' foods that looked like their meat products but weren't. Those were surprisingly good as well.

    “Heh… it’s nice ta meet ya, Sayaka. Sorry ‘bout how I was actin’ earlier… I ain’t… er… I never saw somethin’  like ya before so I guess I got a little scared.” She admits as she rubs at the back of her head.

     ”I didn’t really know stuff like you even really existed outside’a fairytales for little kids ‘n stuff. Mm, but I do owe ya one for helpin’ me like that, for sure.”

"That's a normal reaction. For me anyway. Lots of things exist out here, that humans don't know about. It's quite amusing, really." Sayaka chuckled. 

"No problem, though. I don't require any thanks. I don't like traps in these forests, they hurt my friends. Seems they hurt other humans too, which seems a bit impractically placed. My traps are usually much better than the ones hunters of your kind put up." She observed with a scratch of her head.

"Uwahh;; I m-meant like uuhh, a fish ‘r somethin’! Don’t ya eat fish? I mean ya can’t really make friends with fish can ya??" Boy, this was a lot more difficult that she thought it would be. Still, she had to make sure things were right before leaving the girl alone. 

"Berries? A’right! I can do that! Hey! I even have an apple tree around here if ya want some. Do ya eat.. like.. grass, too…?" With a curious flick of her ear, Kyouko took a handful of grass and shrugged before shoving it in her mouth. It wasn’t long before her eyes watered and she spat it right back out.

"BleGH— that’s awful!!"

"You are a meat eater, right? I don't think your kind eats such kinds of vegetations." Sayaka huffed, tilting her head. "I do applaud you for trying it though." She expected that reaction, though. 

"I do eat grass though. But usually just when there's nothing else around. I prefer other plants, leaves, berries, fruits....stuff like that. Anything else really. Perhaps it's because I'm not a pure deer, but I don't actually enjoy the taste of it."

"Did you know there's a couple of animals that hang around me a lot? Much like humans and their pets. But, they're my friends, not my pets. There's a weasel named Tai, a spiky little lizard named Hime, and probably a few others.
