Before all this, I’d like to say that I hope anon doesn’t get flamed for this one. It’s likely not their fault for thinking this way, but there are a few misconceptions that are better left addressed just in case they may cause problems otherwise.

I typically prefer voicing only lighthearted or funny things on my blog, but today I think it is important to point something out here in a more serious manner. This post insinuates that Harry grew up with abuse and went in a different direction, while Snape grew up in abuse and adopted the traits of his abusers. Interesting and common viewpoint, but inaccurate, and something that’s pretty important to address with all this talk of mental health going around.

Friendly reminder that Snape didn’t die protecting Harry or fighting for the good side. He was killed because Voldemort thought he was the master of the Elder Wand and wanted him out of the way. There was nothing noble or heroic about his death.

As much as the prince's tale serves as giving a backstory for Severus, the revelation that he felt for Lily overshadowed the more important thing- the guy spyied against Voldemort, a most accomplished Legilimens and he did a damn good job. And how much ever he may have loathed Harry he did help protect him and thru that the future of the Wizarding World. *That's* why Harry's son's middle name is Severus. *Not* because he's Severus 'friendzone' Snape. Wish more people understood 😔

A trend I’m seeing in the Snapedom that I’m not a fan of is other Snape fans denying that any of us ship Snily, usually to win an argument against some Snater. It’s fine if individual Snape fans don’t want to ship Snily for whatever reason but please stop throwing the rest of us under the bus, especially to win the respect of an anti who will never respect us anyway. Snily is very important to me so stuff like that gets under my skin.

So I've been holding this back but i'm just gonna say it.

Ya’ll would have black listed James if Severus was female.

If Severus had gotten her skirt ripped off while she was dangling up side down ya’ll would have been fucking livid.

Just before the scene ends James says “Who wants to see me take off Snivelly"s pants?”

Pants in England mean underwear.

But because Snape is male it’s not taken neeaaarly as bad.

And that’s just interesting to me.
