Sebastian did not know why or how but it had happened. The girl he loved was no longer single. She has a hand wrapped around her waist and a mens jacket around her figure but it wasn't him or his. He sighed out as he looked at her; and she looked perfect.
Her eyes sparkling as she laughed, her nose scrunched, and her eyebrows furrowed. She was so expressive with her emotions so open and inviting. She was wrapped in Leander’s jacket snuggling close into it.
He kept on saying that this was okay.
That this is what she wanted.
And the most important thing is that they were just friends.
Jealousy had no place in friendship, he knew that however now as he saw her looking up at Leander with those eyes he couldn't help but welcome the coiling green vermin.
She looked too good, too perfect –too his– to be wrapped in Leander’s jacket standing next to Leander.
But then he saw it, a flicker of sadness in her eyes. As if she looked into those beady eyes of Leander and was disappointed in what she saw back. He didn’t see how suddenly she no longer felt comfortable standing next to him.
Instead Sebastian had paid his tab and left.
He didn’t see how her eyes looked for him in the crowd, looked for the comfort he gave her.
But he heard her a few minutes later.
Her sweet honeysuckle voice calling out his name.
The tingle that spread through his spine warmed him amidst the snowy environment. He could hear her calling getting louder and louder, her steps getting closer and closer.
“Over here,” He said out loud.
“Sebastian, what are you doing out here? I thought you wanted to drink today?” She asked as her hands rubbed her arms wanting to conserve heat.
Sebastian smiled at her lack of Leander’s jacket as she fell into step with him. Knowing she will walk back to the castle with him and call it a night because he was calling it a night.
He smoothly took off his jacket and draped it over while she naturally pulled it closer to herself snuggling into it.
“The company became unsavory in there,” he said as he walked a bit slower to keep in stride with her smaller frame.
She huffed out a sigh as she rolled her eyes.
“Leander is not a bad person.”
“Oh really? Then why has he not noticed you’re not next to him?” Sebastian quipped back, not understanding why she was defending him.
She had no reply for him.
A moment or two of silence passed as they walked.
“He pays attention okay, it's not like he ignores me.” She murmurs trying to defend him, trying to convince Sebastian that Leander wasn’t a half-assed boyfriend.
“Don’t make me laugh,” Sebastian scoffed out in a dry chuckle.
“Stop it Sebastian, you're being rude and disres-”
“Really, it's rude for me to point out how incompetent he is as your boyfriend. Would it be rude for me to point out he stood you up for the last two dates you organized. Would it be rude for me to point out he stares at every girl, eyeing them up. Would it be rude for me to point out that he disrespects you in your relationship and you let him?”
They had stopped walking a while ago.
Sebastians words hung heavy between the two.
Her head hung low as she sniffled, realizing that Sebastian was right.
“You’re right, I am defending him because…….I don't know what love is.” She confessed sniffling even more as more tears worked down her face.
“Do you love him?” He asks, his own chest heavy in anticipation of the answer.
“I-I don't know.”
“Then that's not love.” Sebastian said as he slowly got closer to her.
“What if he loves me?” She asked, feeling guilty.
Sebastian took a deep breath, admiring the way the snow flurries stuck to her hair making it seem like a painting.
He tilted her head up, making her look into her eyes, and by Merlin's name he could not stop the love he felt for her show.
His pupils dilated just enough, his eyes soft as his other hand slowly and lightly settled on her waist.
“Does he look at you the way I do?”
And fuck– something clenched in her heart as everything fell into place.

Disclaimer: The characters are close to 19 and in 7th year at Hogwarts. Has smut. I have read smut starting at age 13 so I’ll say please be mindful of the material you consume. also a lot of grammar errors, not proof read.
PSA: p in v, fingering, squirting, cockdrunk reader, fucked dumb Ominis, pregnancy mentions, boob job, giving head, unprotected sex, no spoilers for the plot, very little plot tbh, if you squint you'll see I am currently ovulating.
A/n: I despise J.K Rowling for what she stands for especially regarding her transphobic and sexist comments/ views. this work isnt to endorse her in any kind of way and is just a outlet for my writing. I bought the game for $18 a month ago and Ominis left an impression on me.

“I bet you couldn’t last a week without me.” Ominis’s smirk was almost audible to the girl below. She couldn’t see his face but she could just feel it. The challenge was a hoax, a bait, a dumb bet that really didn’t matter at the end of the day. But it was the way he said it. The taunt in his voice, the pride in his tone. It was all enough for her to take the challenge, and she fully intended on winning it.
That was yesterday half way during dinner, when she had snuck away with Ominis to the boat house. The gentle noise of water lapping at the wooden planks below them was enough to lull them into their own world where the only people who existed was the person in front of them. She doesn't remember if that's how it went but she was too tired and too giddy to care.
Today was a different day. It was breakfast and most students, except those who skipped breakfast, were in the great hall. Some were studying for their next class, some were trying to stay awake, and most were eating. Then there was the couple who were ignoring each other. Usually it would happen after a break up but this time it was between a very promising couple.
Ominis’s beautiful girlfriend was currently seated with her group of friends at the Gryffindor table. Natsai was pleasantly chatting and talking about her most recent grazing adventures. While on the other side of the room sat Ominis himself, his only friend Sebastian talking his ear off about every single thing that comes to his mind.
“Well, well, well…look what the cat dragged in.” Said the Scottish accent of Imelda Reyes. She sat down next to Natsai as her elbows supported the weight of her head in her arms.
“Trouble in paradise, I see.” Imelda poked as she leaned in closer.
Before Ominis sweet little darling said anything to direct the attention away from her, Poppy Sweeting came in and sat right next to the girl.
“What are we talking about, guys?” Poppy asked as she picked up an apple from a nearby bowl and began munching on it.
Expecting her breakfast with a side of gossip.
“Just the obvious, why little Mrs. Gaunt isn’t sitting right next to Mr. Gaunt.” Imelda clarified as she stared intently at the girl she directed all her jabs at.
“Oooh yeah! Why is that Mrs. Gaunt?” Poppy asked innocently as she continued biting into her apple.
The poor girl looked at Natty hoping she would bring sense to their friend group however she just shrugged before saying a “Even I am curious, why aren’t you sitting next to Mr. Gaunt, Mrs. Gaunt?”
‘Mrs. Gaunt’ groaned at her friend's persistent nature but decided that they were the ones who she would have told the entire bet about anyways. And if she didn't tell them today, she would have told them by tomorrow.
“Fine, but if word of this gets out, I will personally write a letter to Leander Prewett to inform him that not only all three of you stole his underwear last year but that you all use it to get off.” She threatened the three girls.
It was a dare that the three girls lost against Y/n, and she dared all of them to go grab Leander’s dirty underwear. Unfortunately for the girls, practice ended early and they were caught brown handed by Leander himself.
“Oh, it's that serious.” Natty said with a smile, knowing whatever she was to tell them was definitely juicy.
“Ominis and I made a bet,” She started off, “of who can last a whole week without each other.” Her words emphasizing ‘without’ hoping that they understood the implication to be as indecent without her having to say the crude word out in public.
“Without as in platonically or without as in the mommy and daddies are?” Imelda asked with a smirk, loving how red her friend looked.
“Ohhhh..” Poppy and Natty said as they understood that bet was based around lewd acts.
Sure, their friend would often share her dalliance with her perfect boyfriend but she was still a bit shy about it. Her red ears and cheeks were giving her away as she avoided eye contact while downing some strawberry lemonade.
The three giggled at her friend's predicament knowing that she is completely enamored by her boyfriend. So in all honesty they had very little faith in her.
“So how did it happen?” Natty asked genuinely wondering what could have led to such a bet being placed.
“Well….” The girl blushing red started off making sure to keep her voice as quiet as possible.
Ominis had long forgone his tie as his pretty girlfriend sat in his lap kissing him like a mad woman. Her lips trapped his own in a hot sopping kiss; her hands were on his neck or on his chest, while her body was grinding down on a very hard and prominent bulge.
“Please Omi,” she begged, as her boyfriend's hands that were on her waist made their way to cup her ass.
“You must use your words darling?” Ominis taunted with a chuckle followed by a groan as his girlfriend might have rubbed against him a bit too hard.
“What were you saying, Omi?” She teased with a smile as she continued to press her own wet sex and throbbing clit down on his bulge, a bit lighter tho.
Ominis opened his mouth to say something but his teasing girlfriend smirked before she pressed even harder on his length. The groan that left him made her chuckle lightly only to be stopped by Ominis mouth.
His teeth found her supple and slightly swollen lips and began biting on it. Making sure to suck the flesh while his hands squeezed and spanked the fleshy mound of her buttocks. Her breathless yelps and moans as she continued to grind on Ominis began to become heavier.
Her body began to slow down a bit signifying that she was losing stamina but Ominis, ever so perceptive of his girlfriend, placed his hands on her soft plumpy hips. His grip left indents on her flesh as he began moving her body on his clothed dick. The pleasure he received was immense but the wet patch that he could now feel on his clothed sex, was a sign that the girl in his lap was far too close to her release.
“What’s the matter, love?” He asked, knowing she was too drunk on pleasure to talk, instead she whined in response to his question.
Her hands lightly placed on his shoulder while her head was thrown with her chest pushed against her love underneath her.
“Oh--omiii..” she whispered out as her body began to twitch ever so slightly. Telling Ominis that his precious girlfriend was mere seconds from exploding over him.
“Om--omii, imma. Cum.” She spoke in whispers and gasps as her body slowly began jerking much harder.
Then just as Ominis had predicted, his lower half had become wet in her essence. She stood up a bit, her feet finding the side bars of the chair as support as she tried to get away from the stimulation. Her boyfriend's hands are still on her hips.
One of his hands left their place on her side and began sliding through her now wet folds, glistening in the moonlight that seeped in from the cracks of the little boat house. He lubed his fingers up before putting in two fingers. His fingers couldn’t make it past her hole and he tutted.
“Tut-Tut, squirted so hard that you’ve made yourself too tight for me.” Ominis mused, but the girl in lap was still quivering while her jaw slacked.
He slowly began to unbutton her white long sleeve button up. However she held Ominis wrists, stopping his actions before bringing them to her lips and kissing her fingers before slightly sucking them. Ominis shivered at her tongue licking the tips of his fingers while the slight hollow of her cheeks sucked it.
An incredible image materialized in his mind. The silhouette of his precious girl in his lap, towering him just a bit, her eyes glistening in reflection of the moon as slight sheen reflected a path of tears cascading down her cheeks to her jaw.
Her mouth is adorned with puffy lips and her hair a beautiful mess. His hands still close to her face as she kissed it. She looked perfectly ruined by Ominis and he was so proud of what he made her.
“Your soo good to mee, Omi…” she whispered her words against the palm of his hands.
“Imma be good for you.” She spoke before kissing a path from his arms to his neck and finally his jaw. Hovering just over his mouth letting him open it, only to kiss his nose.
Giggling she got on her knees and took the hard length out. It was glistening in the moonlight the droplets of precum and the slight remnants of her own squirt making his pale thick shaft almost glow.
“So prettyyyy…” She slurred, already feeling cock drunk at the sight of Ominis in the chair. Him half exposed, his hair tousled from when she ran her hands through it, and his nick bruised with some light hickies.
“You should see yourself, my love.” Ominis whispered out as his pretty little girlfriend was on her knees slowly stroking his length.
She began with kissing the base of his engorged length, feeling the shudder that ran through his body and the slight twitch of his cock. As she peppered his shaft with sweet loving kisses Ominis couldn’t stop panting, his breath shallow and his mouth opened wide. It was his time to slack jawed.
A low hum left his mouth as his girlfriend kissed the top of his pretty head, the usual pink now replaced with bulbous glistening red. Her tongue making soft circles at the opening on his cock a hiss leaving his mouth. Her thumbs running against his ball sack, feeling it bob up and down at her ministrations.
She slowly took his head in her mouth feeling her tongue accept his weight and his taste. He tasted like an aftertaste of honeydukes. The thought made her smile before she felt her hands covered in saliva. Her own spit dripped down in strings, collecting beads of his precum and making a mix of salacious fluid.
She began to suck his head tasting more of the precum he produced as she felt his balls move a little in her hands as she continued. Feeling as if there was enough of her spit and his cum in her mouth she spat right on his balls. The crude action made Ominis jerk and as he opened his mouth to reprimand her for being so filthy. But her mouth was on his balls as quickly.
The action made his back arch as his hands found themselves tangled in her hair or on her shoulder. He wasn't pushing her, he was just holding on to her. The sensation was so new and welcoming that he felt as if he may float away.
Her tongue licked and sucked at the stretchy skin like muscle of his heavy balls. She made sure to explore this new area of him, loving the way he whimpered and whined at the feeling. Letting one of her hands work on the middle of his huge length while the other worked top of his tip. Spreading his cum all over his length, keeping him lubed up for more.
“Oh- Merlinsss,” He hissed out, his parseltongue seeping out.
“You're such a good little girlfriend for me.” He confessed in parseltongue.
His low hisses echoed in the room, the sound reverberating against her skin causing goosebumps too form. Ominis was driving her crazy, every logical thought in her head disappeared, any shame or any restraint she had was no longer her concern. Consequences can be damned.
They were still in their attire on the off chance they might have to play off being in the boat house, after all it was public property. However she had a crazy idea in her head and no logic to stop her. She paused her assault on Ominis ball sacks.
Her lower mouth was now covered in her saliva and his precum. Ominis was bleary eyed to even feel she had stopped, his body still coursing with happy hormones. The rustling of her clothes made him snap back to reality, the wand in his sleeves materializing the image of her basically naked now. Her cotton underwear was discarded and she was just in her corset. She hooked her hand to the lace in her back and pulled the material to loosen her corset. As it loosened it fell down on the floor along with her shirt, robe, tie, and skirt.
Her breasts falling down in a bounce. She was just in her socks and Mary Jane shoes.
“My love,” Ominis whispered out as his hands found her chin pulling her face to look at him, “You shouldn’t be so naked out in the open. Especially since the chill air of the lake may make you catch a co-”
His words cut off as his darling girlfriend lunged at his lips trapping him in a kiss. As she kissed him, she wrapped her breasts around his thick dick. Smushing the flesh around him. The sensation of her supple and soft skin around him made him moan in surprise.
His mind lagged before he finally understood what she was doing. She was giving him a boob job. Half of his length was covered by her boobs, while the other half was out in the open. As they broke apart from the kiss she moved her body to sit back on her knees. His dick now at a perfect angle for her to swallow his tip in her mouth while her boobs caressed him.
“You're such a caring boyfriend Omi,” She slurred out before she went back to sucking his tip.
“Let me take care of you.” She whispered as she used her body to jerk him off.
Ominis could feel her body's warmth on her balls, on his shaft and on his tip. His heavy balls made a plap-plap sound as the wet skin hit her under breast. Her mouth still sucking and swallowing every little of his pre cume he released.
She could feel him ready to cum, his balls began to jerk, his length twitched, and his tip released more precum. Ominis voice became raspy as he whimpered and hissed. His body arching more and more, offering himself to the girl below him.
And just as she was about to feel him cum in her mouth he pushed himself further down her throat. The action made her gasp before she herself moved closer to his length making her mouth take more of him. She swallowed around his length and that's when she felt him release.
She let some of his cum in her mouth but she pulled him out and began jerking his shaft closer to her face. Wanting to feel his release on her face and chest. Ominis was so fucked out that he didnt even notice his dick was no longer in her mouth. Only when a particularly chilly breeze caused his sensitive tip to twitch did he use his wand to figure out what was happening.
The sight in his mind was one he would never forget. His girlfriend on her knees as she licked the cum off his dick. Her face was covered in clots of it and so was her chest. She took some of his cum on her chest and licked it off her fingers moaning at the taste.
“By merlins, you’re so perfect my love.” Ominis confessed softly as he helped her up before he pulled her into a kiss.
They stood up rather awkwardly. But Ominis wasn’t done. His mind only replayed the scene of his pretty little girlfriend sucking him off. The kiss itself was so hungry. His body coursing with dopamine and oxytocin wanted nothing more besides another round with his cute darling.
“Are you gunna fuck me Omi?” She asked so sweetly as they pulled apart from the kiss. Her hands slowly unbuttoned his shirt.
He just sighed at her question, feeling himself lose control, as he pulled her into his face for another kiss. His mouth was barely kissing; it was just a wild clash of sucking and licking.
“Fuck me hard Omi,” She moaned out knowing exactly what was happening to her boyfriend, “I want to feel you deep in my be--” her words cut off as one of his fingers entered her slick hole.
“If you keep talking like that my love, I’m afraid I may lose control.” He confessed as he kissed her neck softly.
The girl in his embrace going limp and once again open mouthed at the feeling of his fingers stroking and stretching her insides. One hand around her waist while the other had it's pointer and middle finger stretch her out. He began scissoring his fingers, the squelch as he entered and left her sopping wet hole made him groan into her neck.
Whispering in parseltongue at how obscene she sounded. Her head lolled back as he sped up his actions.
“Imma cum oh- omi,” She squealed out as she felt the familiar feeling deep within her cervix, the familiar pull and tightening of her walls. Some of her cum already leaking down her hole, onto Ominis hands, and soaked right into his shirt.
Before she could cum or explode all over Ominis finger, he took his fingers out. His girlfriend teary eyed from pleasure, but now had furrowed eyebrows. Ready to tell him off.
“Om-Ah” Her words interrupted the feeling of Ominis pushing ¼ of his cock into her cunt. The sensation made her shiver.
Ominis placed both of his hands on her ass and picked her up. Her legs wrapped around his slender waist and her hands wrapped around his neck. He walked them both over to a marble table. The dust on it suggests it hasn't been used for anything in more than a year.
As he sat her down on the table, he leaned his taller forward to kiss her softly. He placed her feet on the table and spread her open by pushing her plushy thighs away from her core. He kept her figure closer to the edge. As they broke the kiss his girlfriend placed her hand behind her. The cool marble table made the heat in her hand obvious.
“You're truly insatiable, aren't you?” He asked rhetorically as the tip of his cock was still buried in her walls. He couldn’t see, but he could feel the juices of her welcoming slit flowing out.
“Omiii~” She mewled as she pawed at the tall mens blazer.
But he just stared at her dishevelled form. Her soaking heat releases her sweet nectar around his twitchy and desperate cock. Her soft mewls and her hands grasping at him, asking him to move. He couldn’t help the mused chuckle the vibrated through his chest, especially at the memory – that only a few hours ago she sat composed and poised at dinner – now she was unraveling in front of him.
“Fi- fine!” She grumbled before she steadied a hand on his chest as she began moving her hips just a bit.
Her moan echoed in his ears as he felt more of him being consumed by her slick throbbing walls. She wiggled more of him inside of her before he pulled out all the way before slamming half of his lubed rod in her.
She groaned in both pleasure and surprise as he began a fast pace. Both her hands now stretched behind, finding stability on the cool marble table. Ominis rocked into her, working in more and more and more of him until he was snug inside of her.
Her moans were half mixed with whimpers and her body both convulsed and rocked at the sensation of Ominis, her loving boyfriend, fucking her mindless.
She tried saying his name but it came out broken, sounding more like a moan and less like a name. But Ominis knew what his girl was saying, that's why he stopped prying her thighs open and instead pulled her closer by her back.
The closeness makes the girl below him whimper in pure happiness. Then Ominis placed one of her legs on his shoulder and put one of his hands on the sides of her face gripping the back of her neck. His forehead pressed against his as he began a hard and deep pace. His other hand hooked her other leg over his arm while squeezed tightly on her thick hips.
She whimpered and moaned into his palm as he whispered how lucky he is to have and how proud he is of her. His words just left a flutter of butterflies inside her stomach and she felt so precious and cared about being his.
He was about to release his own juices into her salacious little hole, he pressed right at her cervix. He knew already the chances of her becoming pregnant weren’t slim , seeing as they have done so much without protection already within the past hour. However releasing his own load on her would surely get her pregnant.
And suddenly the logic disappeared from his mind when he realised he could get her pregnant. She could give him a child that was half him and half her. And the thought roamed in his head, especially when she began spasming her cum on his dick. The milky fluid of her release creates a vulgar ‘slush-slush’ sound.
He was going to cum in her, he really was but before his senses snapped back as she wailed out his name. He pulled out just in time as he released a thick virile load on her tits. She jerked his length as she began kissing his neck whispering how good it felt. Whispering how much she loves, confessing how good he looked, and sharing how adored he makes her feel.
As the couple came down from their high they slowly began cleaning themselves and the room up. Knowing they will have to sneak into the prefect's bathroom to clean themselves up. Neither of them were prefects but no one would stop them. She was an ancient magic wielder and he was a Gaunt.
--- bath time --
The pair had decided on a bath together after showering. It was somewhere between midnight and 1am. Everyone had gone to bed and tomorrow (technically today) was a monday.
The pair settled into the hot water as Ominis muttered “the water is so hot we may as well brew tea along with it.”
His girlfriend chuckled as she ruffled his wet hair before kissing the bridge of his nose. She relaxed against his chest, her naked back pressed firmly against him. His arms wrapped securely around her stomach as he rested his head on the top of his. His thumbs moving circles on her stomach.
“Omi, you're tickling me.” She said softly in a giggle as her fingers drew mindless patterns on his arms.
His pink lips broke into a smirking smile against the skin of her neck before whispering right at the lobe of her ears.
“Careful my love, accuse me once more and I may just prove you right.” He teased her.
She just elbowed him in the chest, not hard to hurt but enough.
“You know what I meant, Omi.” She confessed as she continued tracing his hands thinking of how they were about two months away from graduating Hogwarts.
Her heart was beating in her chest rapidly and she was scared that if they stopped moving, the water would still rivet from the rhythm of her heart.
“Penny for your thoughts.” Ominis spoke as his eyes closed he could feel her thoughts.
“What will we do after graduation Omi?” She asked her body to turn a bit to face the boy she loves. Her hands now on his chest drawing mindless patterns.
He still had her wrapped in his arms as he ‘looked’ at her.
“Well you’ve had your dreams that I suppose you'll follow. And I guess I'll just follow where you go.” He said as a matter of factly.
“I know that Ominis, you’ve told me that a lot. I meant,” Her voice halting as her thoughts debated asking the question.
“You meant..” Ominis said, trying to get his girlfriend to finish her sentence.
“I meant us.” she spoke feeling timid at the question sounding so stupid.
“Hmm what about us?” Ominis asked, feeling as the question was too vague.
“I love you Ominis, as long as I live and breathe I know you are the one who I will spend years with. I want to grow old with you and I want to..” her voice faltered again.
Her cheeks grew hot as she felt herself become shy at voicing her question at him.
“You must stop with these incomplete sentences, love, I promise I won’t judge you my sweet little girlfriend.” He said while kissing her temple.
“I want babies.” She said with a bashful smile on her face.
“You want.. Babies?” He asked feeling a bit flushed at the thought and at what he was about to do an hour ago.
“Mhm!” She nodded as she excitedly explained.
“After we both settle into our lives and work, after marriage, I want us to have two kids. The gender doesn’t matter. I would love it if they were 5 years apart. That way the youngest would have an older sibling to look up to and oldest will have a younger sibling to love. Oh and when one of them comes to Hogwarts the other will be with us. And when both of them come to Hogwarts we’ll be empty nesters for two years which will give us a break and we could travel. Then when the oldest graduates, they'll probably stay with us for a while before they leave. What do you think?” She said with a smile on her face as her hands continued to trace patterns on his chest, not stopping once.
“I think the world you created for us is beautiful. And I can not wait to start it with you. I love you too.” He said as he pecked her lips.
“This may sound ridiculous, but I swore on Merlin that you were surely to get me pregnant today at the boat house.” His girlfriend chuckled at her thought. Remembering how deep he was in her and how he really showed no signs of pulling out of her until the end.
“I was thinking about it, and I swear on Merlin I truly thought I was going to get you pregnant.” He confessed as she began chuckling with him joining in.
“It’s a good thing we aren’t married,” his girlfriend spoke with a teasing tone in her voice, “it would have been very hard for you to keep those freakishly large hands off your wife, wouldn't you?” her playful words made one of his eyebrows rise.
Her lips curved into a smile as she thought of another possibility of them living together right after graduating Hogwarts. She knew in her heart that sleep would be few and moans would be constant.
“Me? I’m the one who can’t keep my hands to myself?” He asked his voice low in tone as he smiled at the absurdity of the thought.
“Yes.” His girlfriend replied clearly amused at him.
“Darling, I think you’re forgetting who’s clinging to whom this entire time.” His fingers brushing gently against her stomach as caressed the skin once again.
His girlfriend just rolled her eyes as she began to stand up, readying herself to turn into bed. Ominis stood up also, getting out the tub and helping her out, but as she moved away to grab the towels. He pulled her into his embrace, their wet body sticking to each other so easily.
“But if you’d like to prove me wrong… then by all means try keeping yours off of me for a moment.” He taunted as his arms hung by his side all the while hers were on his chest.
She pushed him gently before scoffing “Is that a challenge?” She asked as she grabbed a towel for herself and one for him, throwing the one for him at his head.
Obviously, the blind boy didn’t stand a chance of catching it. When the towel landed squarely on his face, a startled pause followed before his girlfriend’s laughter bubbled up from across the room, light and teasing.
“I could have helped you,” she called out, her voice dripping with mischief, “but I didn’t want to ruin the fun.” Her grin widened as she dried herself off, clearly enjoying his predicament.
“How original, making the blind boy catch.” Ominis deadpanned as he reached for the towel before wiping himself off.
Tying the towel around his waist as he looked for his clean clothes that they transfigured out of their dirty, dusty, and wet clothes. The blame both his sweet little geyser of a girlfriend took bashfully and he pridefully accepted. From across the room he could feel her staring at him.
A low smirk spread on his lips as he flexed and moved his body. Giving his girlfriend a show of muscles as he moved around pretending to not know where his clothes were. After a few minutes of back and forth and deliberate stopping in her line of view she figured out his play.
She scoffed once more before she walked over to him. Her body clad in a white chemise that flowed with her body, in his black vision the flowy material of chemise’s flow looked like a glow.
“You’re ridiculous Omi,” She said as she handed her his clothes, “You need to start hanging out with more people besides me and Sebastian.” She added.
"To be honest, I’d much rather just spend time with you than him," he said smoothly, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. "But, as it turns out, once you feed a stray cat, it never leaves your side." His tone was light, but the subtle tilt of his head and the warmth in his voice made it clear he was just joking.
She laughed before helping him button his shirt up. A thing she did without him asking to, something that she loved to do for him. As she buttoned him up she stood on one leg as the other traced his calf up and down. A mindless act that she did whenever she was fixing his hair, straightening his tie, or buttoning him up like now.
Ominis wore a sly smile, the unmistakable kind that said, I’ve got you now. It was the same look he’d had when he caught Sebastian sneaking one of his dozen prized Honeydukes chocolates. At first, Sebastian had waved it off, calling him paranoid, claiming he was imagining things. “One missing chocolate? Really, Ominis, don’t be ridiculous,” he’d said with all the feigned innocence he could muster.
But the moment Ominis caught him red-handed—his fingers quite literally in the jar—there was no escaping the truth. Not even Sebastian’s silver tongue could twist the situation in his favor. Manipulating Ominis was one thing; doing it after being so clearly exposed was another entirely.
“May I ask what is the smile for Ominis?” The girl asked as she straightened up his collar.
Ominis leaned back with a knowing smirk, his pale eyes narrowing in amusement as he replied in his smooth drawl, "You, my love. You and your insatiable need to constantly touch me." He let the words hang in the air before adding with deliberate provocation, "If I were to accept this challenge of yours, you’d have already lost.” He paused again as if to strike the hammer on the nail with precision he said “Right now."
The statement was so utterly absurd to his girlfriend that a burst of laughter escaped her, but as she detangled herself from him, her expression shifted into something more serious—a flicker of offense that made Ominis sit up straighter.
"That’s it, Gaunt," she declared, crossing her arms and putting deliberate distance between them. "We’re doing this silly little challenge."
Whatever she thought she was proving, Ominis didn’t seem fazed. He tilted his head in her direction, his smirk unbroken. "Whatever you say, my love," he mused, clearly convinced she’d either forget about it or abandon it the moment it became inconvenient.
But he couldn’t have been more wrong.
Her voice took on a determined edge as she began listing rules, and Ominis’s smirk faltered slightly.
"No touching—only cordial hugs and hand-holding allowed. Playing with each other’s hair? Fine. Napping on the other person? Acceptable. Cuddling? That's fine too. Kissing on the cheeks and lips? Also permitted, but no funny business."
She was pacing now, counting on her fingers with military precision.
"No masturbation. For either of us. For a week."
Ominis raised an eyebrow, his composure slipping just a fraction. "A week? That’s absurd," he muttered, but she ignored him.
"No explicit letters," she continued, her tone sharp. "No flirty innuendos. And-" she turned, leveling a pointed look at him, "no avoiding each other to make this easier. We stay in close proximity. The whole time."
By the time she finished, Ominis was leaning forward, his elbows on his knees, staring in her direction with a mixture of disbelief and amusement. "You’ve put an alarming amount of thought into this," he said dryly, though there was no hiding the faint trace of nerves creeping into his voice.
She simply grinned, her earlier offense replaced with pure determination. "Oh, I plan to win this, Gaunt."
Ominis chuckled softly, shaking his head. "I think you might have just made this harder on yourself than on me." His voice was laced with amusement, but the flicker of hesitation in his expression hinted at the battle of wills that was about to unfold.
The warmth of the Great Hall lingered as the girls gathered their belongings, lighthearted exchanges filling the air. The girl, lost in her thoughts, trailed slightly behind, her uncertainty about Ominis gnawing at her composure. Imelda’s chuckle brought her back to reality, her friend clearly noticing the worry etched across her face.
“You’ll figure it out,” Imelda quipped with a playful nudge, but before the girl could respond, Poppy elbowed her with a subtle reminder to tread lightly, while Natty offered Imelda a reproachful glance.
As the group of friends exited the hall, chatting idly about their next class, the familiar voices of Ominis and Sebastian drifted behind them. Ominis’s distinct, calm cadence reached her just as he called out, "My love."
He gently pulled her aside, the briefest touch guiding her into his arms for a warm embrace. "How was your breakfast?" he asked, his tone genuine, though the faintest glimmer of mischief danced behind his milky eyes. It was a look that always left her guessing, and today was no exception.
“It was delicious, Omi,” she replied, her voice light and steady as she raised her hands in a mock shrug. "What about you? Did you enjoy the custard pie? They had that raspberry compote you always rave about."
A smile tugged at his lips as he nodded. "I did. It was delightful, thank you. But..." His voice softened, slipping into a teasing lilt, "why weren’t you sitting with me? You’re not avoiding me, are you?"
She laughed, brushing her fingers across his cheek in a gesture so familiar it was second nature. "You’re being ridiculous, Omi. I’ll have lunch with you, I promise. I was just catching up with the girls since dinner got, well... cut short yesterday."
His cheeks flushed faintly at her pointed reminder of why their dinner had ended early, the heat rising to his face unmistakable.
"Bye, Omi," she said softly, leaning closer to plant a feather-light kiss on his cheek. The tips of his ears turned crimson, his breath catching for the briefest moment as he held onto her voice like a melody.
"I’ll see you at lunch, darling," he replied, his tone soft yet tinged with affection. Taking her hand in his, he pressed a kiss to the back of it, a gallant and tender gesture that sent her heart fluttering.
She bit back a smile, her own cheeks heating to a soft pink as she hurried back to join her friends, their knowing glances waiting for her.
"You mustn't worry so much," Natty said gently, her warm smile matched by the soothing spring breeze that brushed past them, carrying the scent of blooming flowers.
"Why is that?" the girl asked, her cheeks already tinged with a soft pink.
"Because," Imelda interjected with her signature bluntness, a teasing grin lighting up her face, "you have a visceral effect on your big boyfriend."
The girl’s eyes widened at the choice of words, her blush deepening, but Imelda wasn’t done. She leaned in slightly, her voice dripping with mischief. "Honestly, I’d wager he was about three seconds away from pinning you to the wall and snogging you senseless."
"Imelda!" Poppy scolded, her tone scandalized as she shot the other girl a look. But even as she played the voice of reason, there was a knowing glint in her eyes. She turned back to their wide eyed, blushing friend, offering a reassuring pat on her shoulder. "She’s being obnoxious, yes, but she’s not wrong."
The girl opened her mouth to protest, but no words came. Instead, her mind spun with her friends’ observations, leaving her flustered and stammering as they strolled along, Natty’s soft laughter and Imelda’s triumphant smirk ringing in her ears.
The end...

The TriWizard Tournament was a tournament that promised glory, but also a tournament with a death toll so high, just surviving it would be the accomplishment of a lifetime. Your significant other had begged you not to put your name in the Goblet of Fire. You told him you wouldn’t, but you've done so anyway in secret. These are the reactions of Garreth, Ominis, and Sebastian when they not only realize you put your name in behind their back, but that you’ve also been chosen as the Hogwarts Champion.

AN: Ominis is not possessive in this as much because everything is going "as planned", like little lark Ominis was crazzzzy possesive. So really he is sweet more than anything because he is getting everything he wants. Like he has no need to be possesive when she so willingly is letting him take her.
Also I want to get married at a vineyard now and own one too.
Masterlist
It had been three weeks since she had given herself to Ominis.
Three weeks after they had lost their virginity together, their bodies entwined in the moon illuminated room, in secret, where no one else could touch them, see them, ruin them.
And for the past three weeks, she had been filled full of him every single night.
Her body still ached from the last time, his grip on her hips, the way he pushed deeper, deeper, deeper, whispering how she was his, how he would never let her go.
She had loved every second of it.
But now, as she struggled to zip up her skirt, her stomach twisting with a growing sense of dread, she felt something else entirely.
Am I swelling with a child?
The thought made her breath hitch.
No. No, I can’t be.
Her parents had been strict, enforcing ridiculous rules about courtship “No dating until after Hogwarts.”
And yet, here she was. Possibly pregnant. With only a month left until graduation.
Her fingers trembled as she adjusted her uniform, hiding the half-zipped skirt beneath her vest before rushing out of the dorm, her mind spiraling.
She needed to get to the Great Hall. She needed to think.
But she never made it there.
A hand shot out, grabbing her wrist, yanking her into the shadows of a secluded hallway.
Her breath hitched; until she felt him.
Ominis.
“Good morning, love.” His voice was velvet, smooth and possessive, before his lips descended upon hers in a searing, all-consuming kiss.
Her thoughts blurred.
She melted into him instantly, just like she always did.
And Ominis smirked.
She was pliable in his hands— putty, soft and eager, bending to his touch without a second thought.
But so was he.
Just the clack of her shoes across the stone floors was enough to set him on edge, to make his body crave her all over again.
She was his.
His to love. His to keep.
His to ruin.
“Good morning, Omi.” She greeted, voice hazy from his kiss.
He pulled her in again, deeper, his fingers curling around her waist, claiming, holding, keeping.
And that was when he felt it.
The way she tensed beneath his touch.
She pulled back, and Ominis' smirk faded.
Something was wrong.
His grip on her waist tightened. “What’s wrong?”
She swallowed, eyes darting away. She looked nervous. Afraid. Like she was hiding something from him.
And Ominis hated that.
“Omi… I think—I think I’m pregnant.”
She whispered it, as if saying it too loudly would make it real.
His heart stilled.
Then—a slow, creeping smile spread across his lips.
It worked.
His plan had worked.
She was now with his child. His seed had taken root, claiming her from the inside out, binding her to him forever.
Soon, she would be plump with his heir, her body growing round and soft, all for him, all because of him.
Ominis exhaled a shuddering breath, pure ecstasy rushing through his veins as he crushed her against him, capturing her lips in a kiss filled with triumph, devotion, hunger.
“Don’t worry, love.” He whispered against her mouth, his tone soothing, reassuring, final. “I’ll take care of you both. I promise.”
But she didn’t kiss him back.
She stiffened in his arms.
And then her voice broke.
“But I don’t want a baby.”
Ominis felt his heart shatter.
His breath caught. His grip tightened.
“Why not?” His voice was low, barely above a whisper, but there was something dangerous in it.
A pause. A long, painful silence.
Then the words that nearly destroyed him.
“I love you, Ominis.” Her voice was soft, filled with emotion, and for a moment— just a moment— his heart swelled.
But then she kept speaking.
“And I want to experience the world with you before we settle down.” She sniffled, her hands gripping his robes. “You don’t want to be associated with your family, and I don’t either. If we have a child now, we’ll be forced to depend on others, to be tied down before we’ve even had a chance to live.”
Ominis stared at her, something dark and possessive slithering through his chest.
She didn’t understand.
She didn’t see what he saw.
She spoke as if freedom was something they needed.
But they already had freedom.
They had each other.
Still, he forced himself to think. She’s not saying she doesn’t love me. She just… doesn’t want it yet.
He took a slow, measured breath, choosing his words carefully.
“You don’t have to worry about money, love.” His voice was smooth, reassuring. “I made investments years ago. I have more than enough to provide for you— for us— without ever needing to rely on anyone.”
Her lips parted in surprise, and he let his fingers brush against her cheek, soft and gentle.
“That being said,” he continued, tilting her chin up, “this is your body. I will never force something upon you that doesn’t make you happy.”
His words were sweet, but his tone was possessive, laced with something darker, more dangerous; as if he was branding her with them, ensuring that she understood how deep his love ran.
She made her decision that day.
They went to Nurse Blaney; a kind woman who had helped many girls in this predicament before. She had been gentle, understanding, offering them a small vial of potion and explaining the aftercare in a voice soft with warmth.
“You don’t have to take it.” She reassured them. “Even now, with it in your hands, you are allowed to change your mind.”
And she almost didn’t.
Back in the Room of Requirement, she stared at the vial, her hands shaking.
She was about to drink it.
And then the tears welled in her eyes.
Her fingers trembled.
Her throat tightened.
Ominis' heart stopped.
“Love?” His voice was careful, scared. He pulled her into his arms, his hands firm on her waist, anchoring her to him. “Talk to me.”
She choked on a sob, gripping his robes. “I—I want them.”
A pause. A single, shuddering breath.
“I love them.”
She hiccupped, clutching him tighter. “And the thought of losing them; it scares me. Its unbearable”
Ominis exhaled, his lips pressing into her hair, his hold unbreakable.
And for the first time that day he smiled.
—---
The two of them had agreed to keep the pregnancy a secret— at least from their families.
Their friends, however, knew immediately.
The girls had been beyond ecstatic, squealing over the news, while the boys had clapped Ominis on the back, teasing him about becoming a “family man.”
But beyond the teasing, there was something undeniably different about him now.
Ominis had always carried himself with quiet intensity, but now? Now, there was an undeniable sense of purpose in the way he held her, the way he moved, the way he whispered against her skin every night, "You're mine. Always."
By the time graduation arrived, her stomach had begun to round ever so slightly, though not enough for anyone outside their close circle to notice. She wasn’t yet feeling the full symptoms of pregnancy— her breasts were a little fuller, a little more sensitive, but nothing drastic.
Her family, strict as they were, had grown fond of Ominis.
They knew his status, knew he was a gentleman, and had no reason to doubt him. If only they knew the depraved things he had done to their daughter, they wouldn’t be patting his back so proudly.
And then, of course, there were the Gaunts.
They arrived at the ceremony, cold and composed, but when introduced to the infamous Hero of Hogwarts, their greedy expressions flickered with something close to approval.
Power. Beauty. Status.
That’s all they saw when they looked at her.
Not the girl who had saved their son from becoming like them, not the girl who had made Ominis smile for the first time in his life, not the girl he had worshipped body and soul every night.
Just power.
And yet, Ominis didn’t care.
Because they didn’t matter. Only she did.
After the ceremony, once the Gaunts had left without fanfare, Ominis approached her father, his expression steady, his grip on her hand firm.
“Sir, I’d like to ask for your daughter’s hand in marriage.”
Her father had known this was coming.
She had written letters about Ominis for years, talked endlessly about him during the holidays, and would smugly refer to herself as ‘the future Mrs. Ominis Gaunt’ just to tease her father, who loathed the idea of his little girl growing up.
Even her mother had joined in on the joke, always responding, "No dating until after Hogwarts."
But now, here they were.
And her father, after a long moment of deliberation, let out a deep sigh before nodding. "She loves you. That much is obvious. And you're a good man. You have my blessing."
Ominis let out a breath, relief flooding him.
Not that he had needed permission.
Because even if the answer had been no, nothing would have stopped him from keeping her forever.
Later that evening, as the sun cast golden hues across the castle, Ominis led them to a secluded overlook, a breathtaking spot where they could see the castle, the lake, and the rolling mountains in the distance.
Her family stood behind them, admiring the view, but Ominis wasn’t looking at the horizon.
He was looking at her.
And then he reached into his pocket.
Her breath hitched as he knelt before her, pulling out a ring that he had chosen months ago.
His fingers trembled slightly as he held it up, but his voice, his devotion, his love, was unwavering.
“You are the love of my life.”
The words were soft, gentle, but they carried the weight of everything he was.
“Not because of your beauty, not because of your power but because you know me better than I know myself. Because every day with you, I learn something new about who I am, about who I want to be. You are my reason for everything, my guiding light.
And I want to spend the rest of my life learning more about you, about us, about the family I know we will build together.”
His breath shook slightly, but his grip on her hand was firm, reverent, unyielding.
“Marry me.”
Her vision blurred with tears, her throat tightening as overwhelming love, devotion, and sheer emotion swallowed her whole.
She barely managed to choke out a soft, tearful “yes” before dropping to her knees and throwing herself into his arms.
Her family cheered, her mother wiping away happy tears while her siblings laughed and teased her for crying so much.
But it wasn’t just the proposal.
It was everything.
Her hormones, yes but more than that, it was Ominis.
The man she loved.
The man she had given herself to.
The man who would burn the world to the ground if it meant keeping her safe.
And now, he was hers. Forever.
Fireworks erupted in the night sky, a little favor he asked Sebastian who happily obliged and delivered.
—--
The wedding happened within a month.
Her family had hesitated, worried that she was rushing into it. But every time they questioned her, she would simply say,
“I courted him for two years. I refuse to be his fiancée when I could just be his wife.”
And that was that.
They knew their daughter, tenacious, brilliant, headstrong. And they knew Ominis, devoted, loyal, utterly besotted with her.
So, despite their reservations, they gave their blessing.
The Gaunts, however, were not invited.
Ominis had finally confessed everything— his unstable home life, the cruelty he had endured, the cold, loveless existence he had been raised in.
And her parents, with their warm hearts and unwavering protectiveness, had taken him in as their own.
For the first time in his life, Ominis felt something he had never known before.
A place to belong. A family that cared. A love that didn’t come with conditions.
And with that, the final tether binding him to the Gaunts snapped.
He was hers now. Entirely. Forever.
—
Then came finding their home.
A quaint little mansion, nestled just minutes away from Godric’s Hollow, with land sprawling around them in lush, green abundance. Vineyards stretched in one direction, fertile soil in another, ready for her to plant anything her heart desired.
Their home was perfect.
High-arched windows that bathed the rooms in golden sunlight. A kitchen lined with white marble, polished and pristine. A library for Ominis, lined with towering bookshelves, seamlessly doubling as a study for her. And most importantly; space.
Space for their growing family.
—-
The ceremony was set in their own backyard, just as the sun dipped below the horizon.
Tables and chairs were arranged neatly, all in white, the air thick with the scent of roses and honeysuckle. Flowers in blush pink and deep green adorned every surface, soft candlelight flickering around them.
And then— Ominis.
He stood at the altar, his tuxedo expertly tailored.
Charcoal grey. Silver embroidery. A crisp white shirt beneath, his vest black with intricate silver threads woven through the fabric.
He was breathtaking.
His groomsmen, Sebastian, Garreth, and Amit stood beside him, all dressed in black tuxedos, but Ominis stood apart. He was stunning, regal, ethereal.
And yet, even in all his refinement, he had eyes only for her.
His bride. His wife.
And when she appeared, walking down the aisle, arm-in-arm with her parents, Ominis nearly forgot how to breathe.
—-
She was a vision.
Her wedding dress clung beautifully to her form, the white fabric glowing in the soft twilight.
Intricate pearls were sewn into the bodice, shimmering with each graceful step she took. The corset-like design held her firm, and though she had worried about it being too tight around her three-month baby bump, Natty had reassured her, "It won’t harm the baby, I promise."
So she had worn it.
And now, as she walked towards Ominis, the delicate lace-trimmed veil trailing behind her, the soft parting of her breasts exposed by the gentle dip of her gown, her bare shoulders kissed by the glow of candlelight—
Ominis was undone.
His chest tightened.
His fingers trembled at his sides.
His bride, his wife, his love, was carrying his child as she walked toward him.
She was his.
And soon, she would be his in every way imaginable.
—
The vows were spoken.
Her voice was steady, full of promise, devotion, and love.
Ominis’ voice, however, was thick with emotion.
How could it not be?
He was marrying the woman who had saved him. The woman who had tamed his demons, softened his heart, and ruined him for anyone else.
She was his breath, his mind, his soul, his body.
And when the minister said, "You may now kiss the bride," Ominis did not hesitate.
His hands slid to her waist, pulling her flush against him as he captured her lips in a slow, deliberate kiss.
It was a kiss meant for show— loving, tender, drawn out just enough to make the crowd swoon.
But beneath it?
Beneath it was something else entirely.
Beneath it was hunger, longing, the kind of desperate devotion only he could feel for her.
Because tonight— finally— she would be his again.
—
As they walked down the aisle, hand in hand, a shower of petals rained down upon them, their guests cheering, the sun fully setting just as expected.
Candles floated around the courtyard, their soft glow illuminating the evening, courtesy of Professor Weasley’s magic.
And through it all, Ominis held onto her.
He held onto her like a man possessed.
Because in every way that mattered, he was.
—
Their first dance as husband and wife was nothing short of enchanting. Beneath the full moon’s soft glow, they moved in perfect harmony, their steps slow and deliberate, as if savoring every second. The makeshift pillars, once simple wooden boxes, had been transfigured into elegant structures adorned with ivy, framing their dance beneath the night sky. The air smelled of blooming flowers and ripened grapes from the vineyard, a reminder of the life they were building together.
Ominis had never known such pure joy. He could feel her love radiating through every touch, every whispered breath between them. But what truly made his heart ache with emotion was the gentle bump pressing between them; the life they had created together. His grip on her waist tightened ever so slightly, a silent vow that he would protect them both with everything he had.
Their foreheads touched as she blinked back tears of happiness, her lips curling into a smile. "I'm officially Mrs. Gaunt," she sniffled softly.
"And I'm officially your husband," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.
She let out a soft laugh, her fingers brushing the nape of his neck. "But I was yours, and you were mine, from the moment I bumped into you leaving the Undercroft."
A smirk tugged at his lips. "And I knew you were mine the day I realized I couldn't stand the way other boys said your name."
She chuckled, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "You glared at every single one of them, Omi."
"I wasn’t glaring," he protested, though even he knew it was a lie.
She only laughed again, shaking her head. He could listen to that sound forever.
His hand settled protectively over her stomach as he whispered, "I love you both more than anything in this world."
"And we love you too," she murmured, resting her hand over his.
Under the moonlit sky, with music swirling around them and their love wrapped in the warm embrace of the night, Ominis knew— this was his forever. And he would never let it go.
—
The embers of the bonfire crackled softly, casting golden light over the circle of friends gathered around it. The air carried the scent of burning wood, mingling with the distant sweetness of the vineyard. Laughter and conversation flowed as easily as the dark liquor Amit kept sneaking sips of, their voices hushed yet lively in the late-night calm.
Ominis sat comfortably on a transfigured loveseat, his wife nestled against him, her soft, loose dress doing little to hide the way her body molded perfectly into his. The warmth of her pressed against his side made it nearly impossible to focus on anything else. He breathed in deeply, trying to steady himself, but every time she threw her head back in laughter — especially when Imelda mimicked Headmaster Black’s pompous drawl — he felt himself slipping. Her delicate fingers gripped his thigh as she lost herself in amusement, her hair falling into her face, nose crinkling in that way that always undid him.
Ominis tightened his hold around her. Before her, he never had a reason to wake up in the morning beyond obligation. Now, he had purpose. He had her.
“So, do you want to know the baby’s gender?” Natty asked curiously, snuggling closer to Amit.
His wife’s parents had left an hour ago, having spent the past month at their estate, meaning the topic could be spoken about freely; something she loved.
“I think I do,” she murmured, cradling the small bump as she gazed down at it.
“I want to crochet as many little clothes as I can before they pop out,” she added with a giddy smile, excitement lighting up her face.
“And what about you, Ominis?” Amit asked, taking a slow swig of the dark liquor Ominis had introduced him to.
“I prefer whatever my wife prefers,” Ominis replied smoothly, as if the answer had always been written in the stars.
A chorus of teasing sounds erupted from their friends.
“You’ve gone soft, Gaunt,” Gareth chuckled, shoving another handful of chicken dippers into his mouth.
“More like being married has turned him into a doting husband,” Anne quipped, her words laced with knowing amusement towards Gareth as if for him to catch a hint.
“You’re not marrying my sister until you become something, Weasley,” Sebastian warned, his voice holding an edge of seriousness.
Laughter erupted, but Anne turned red in protest. “I am not marrying him!” she shrieked.
“Well, you’re not marrying anyone else besides Gareth either,” Sebastian shot back with an air of finality.
Everyone knew the truth that Anne and Gareth were inevitable. The moment Gareth had pummeled a sixth-year back in their fourth year for making an offhanded comment about Anne needing to “grow into her looks,” Sebastian had known. And so had the rest of their friends. The only ones oblivious were the two idiots themselves.
“So, who’s next to marry in our group?” Ominis’ wife asked coyly, stirring the pot with a mischievous smile.
“Maybe it’ll be Sebastian,” Ominis said with a smirk, finding humor in how the most hopeless romantic among them was the only one still single.
“And who, exactly, would I marry?” Sebastian asked, brow furrowed.
“Mrs. Hecate, of course,” Imelda deadpanned, laughing as Poppy nudged her with an elbow.
Their friends erupted into laughter, the old memory resurfacing. Sebastian groaned, rubbing his face as if to erase the embarrassment. He had once found a photo of a breathtaking young woman in the Restricted Section, believing it to be a former student. For months, he had been determined to find her—only to discover, to his absolute horror, that the photo was of Professor Hecate in her prime. When the picture had fallen out of his bag in the middle of class, she had simply stared at him, expression unreadable, before asking why he had it.
That day, the entire group had been sent to detention—for their uncontrollable laughter. It was the only time Sebastian had ever dreaded serving it.
“Hey, leave my good friend Sebastian alone,” Amit slurred, waving his drink dramatically. “I know what it’s like to have your heart broken.”
“Why would you say that, Amit?” Natty asked, suddenly curious.
“Well—I—it was—uh—” Amit stammered, his ears turning red as Imelda let out exaggerated “oohs,” sensing trouble.
But Ominis barely heard them now. His attention was fixed on the woman beside him. Her head had begun to droop slightly, exhaustion finally catching up with her after the long day. Her eyes fluttered shut for brief moments before she blinked herself awake again.
“Would you like to turn in for the night, love?” he asked, his voice softer now, pulling her just a little closer.
“Mhm…” She hummed, her body melting into his touch. “It’s as if I forgot I had a long day, and now my lack of sleep has crept up on me.” She yawned delicately, rubbing her eyes.
“Let’s go, Mrs. Gaunt,” Ominis said smoothly, smirking as she giggled at the sound of it.
“Goodnight! Make sure you all sleep inside the house and not out here,” she called out drowsily. “Birky will clean up outside in the morning.”
A chorus of whispers and giggles erupted behind them as they made their way toward the house — no doubt their friends making jokes about their need to consummate their marriage.
But just as they reached the threshold, Ominis suddenly stopped.
“What is it?” she asked, turning to face him, suddenly hyper-aware of the way the night had fallen into silence.
Instead of answering, he pulled her close, capturing her lips in a lingering kiss. It was one of the hundreds he had stolen from her that day, but this one was different. This one was filled with quiet hunger, with promise. His hands roamed over her figure in a slow, reverent touch before he pulled back just enough to maneuver her into his arms, lifting her effortlessly in a bridal carry.
A soft giggle escaped her lips, arms instinctively wrapping around his neck.
“I intend to make good on my promise, love,” he murmured against her ear.
Her breath hitched, all traces of sleep vanishing in an instant. He knew exactly what he was doing—how easily he could undo her.
And with that, Ominis carried his wife inside, the rest of the world fading away as their night truly began.

Ominis Gaunt strode through the library, his wand tapping lightly against the floor with the faint click-click-click that echoed in the quiet room. The sun bathed the far corner in golden light, his preferred spot, where the rays would warm his back as he worked through the labyrinth of notes and textbooks. But as he approached, something felt… off.
Someone was sitting in his seat.
He sighed. “Sebastian? Why aren’t you in class?” he called out, setting his stack of books down with a deliberate thud.
“Didn’t feel like it,” Sebastian replied lazily, his mouth half-full of an apple as he flipped through a worn tome.
Ominis ran his fingers over the chair next to him before sitting, exhaling sharply. “Why am I not surprised?” he muttered, his tone tinged with exasperation. “Please, keep yourself entertained. I have actual work to do, and I’d rather not get swept into one of your scandals today.”
“Scandal?” Sebastian asked with mock offense. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Of course you don’t,” Ominis retorted, already busying himself with his textbook. His wand traced the Braille like enchantments on the page, one hand gliding across the text while the other jotted notes in impeccable handwriting.
For a while, the only sounds were the scratching of quill on parchment and the occasional crunch of Sebastian’s apple. But then, from somewhere behind them came the unmistakable sound of giggling.
Ominis stiffened. “Merlin’s beard, that’s distracting,” he muttered, his jaw tightening as the laughter grew louder.
Sebastian smirked, leaning back in his chair. “Sounds like someone found this month’s issue of Haughty Witches and Naughty Snitches,” he said, the amusement clear in his voice.
Ominis paused mid-sentence, his brow furrowing. “The what now?”
“Oh, come on,” Sebastian said, sitting upright with sudden enthusiasm. “You remember the first time we found a copy? Fourth year, I think it was. Or was it third?”
“I’m choosing not to dignify this conversation with a response,” Ominis deadpanned, his focus snapping back to his notes.
“Don’t give me that look, Ominis. It’s a natural part of life,” Sebastian said smugly.
“Yes, Sebastian, I agree that sex is a natural part of life,” Ominis replied coolly, “but a woman performing pull-ups with her-” he hesitated, his face turning pink, “...her assets out is not.”
“She was doing a challenge! That takes skill, Ominis. Skill and dedication,” Sebastian said, shaking his head at his friend, making his blind friend feel as if he doesn’t recognize talent or dedication.
“Speaking of challenges,” Ominis said, his tone suddenly lighter, “did you know I’m currently participating in one myself?”
Sebastian straightened, intrigued. “Oh? You? Participating in a challenge?”
“Yes. My dear girlfriend bet me that I couldn’t keep my hands off her for a week. Naturally, I countered with the same bet. She’s convinced I’ll cave first,” Ominis said, the corners of his mouth curling into an amused smile.
Sebastian stared at him for a long moment before placing a solemn hand on his shoulder. “Ominis, you’re going to lose.”
Ominis blinked in surprise. “What? That’s absurd. If anyone has self-control, it’s me. Between the two of us— ”
“Stop right there,” Sebastian interrupted, leaning closer with an almost pitying expression. “Ominis, do you remember two months ago when she left for three days?”
“What does that have to do with anything?” Ominis asked, already growing defensive.
Sebastian’s smirk widened. “You turned into a bloody menace. You walked straight into a Quidditch match, while it was in progress, just to Accio the Snitch and blow it to bits. Your excuse? ‘The first years were making too much noise.’”
“Well, they were— ”
“It was their first win of the season! They had every right to cheer!”
Ominis opened his mouth to retort, but Sebastian wasn’t finished.
“And let’s not forget the second game of the season. You were all smiles, eating stale popcorn with a pleasant expression because she was sitting right there next to you. Coincidence? I think not.”
“That’s just basic decency, Sebastian. Good company should always be appreciated,” Ominis said, lifting his chin in defiance.
“Sure, sure,” Sebastian said, his tone dripping with sarcasm. “Except Imelda swears she saw her limping that day, and according to her, you’re quite the—how did she put it—‘big guy.’”
Ominis froze. His quill stopped mid-dip into the ink, and a scarlet blush crept across his face.
Sebastian grinned wickedly. “Face it, Ominis. You’re doomed.”
“And why is my handsome boyfriend doomed?” Her voice chimed from behind, soft and lilting, but carrying just enough edge to tease. The sound made both boys pause, but it was the warmth of her touch that pulled Ominis’ attention completely. She slipped up beside him, her presence as familiar and comforting as the sunlight streaming through the library windows.
Ominis felt the heat creep up his neck as he turned toward her, his cheeks tinged pink, a rare sight on his typically pale, freckled complexion. Unless of course when they otherwise occupied in their relationship, Ominis never blushed. “My love, you’re out early,” he said, his voice softer now as he stood and reached for her.
She came to him effortlessly, as if drawn by some magnetic pull. He placed his hands lightly on her waist, her hands sliding up to rest on his neck. The kiss she gave him was quick and light, yet it lingered in his mind like the taste of something sweet.
“You can thank Garreth for that,” she replied with a small laugh as she slipped into the chair Ominis had already pulled out for her, ever the gentleman.
Sebastian raised a skeptical brow. “But you weren’t even in Potions,” he pointed out, his tone a mix of confusion and amusement.
“True,” she admitted, smoothing her robes as she sat. “But unfortunately for everyone in Divination, there’s tea, and Garreth Weasley has an endless supply of recipes in that head of his.”
Sebastian chuckled, shaking his head. “Of course he does. That boy would turn a funeral into a brewing experiment.”
As the two chatted, her fingers drifted toward Ominis’ hand resting on the table. It was a habit of hers, one Ominis adored. She would absentmindedly trace the lines of his palm or run her fingertips along his knuckles. Only this time, it was different.
Her fingers found his fingers—the same two that had been intimately acquainted with her last night. She trailed them with deliberate strokes, her touch feather-light but undeniably intentional.
Ominis froze. His mind betrayed him, conjuring vivid images: her flushed face, her breathless gasps, the way her doe eyes locked with his as she-
“Are you alright, Omi?” she asked sweetly, her hands sliding up to rest on his neck. The coolness of her touch made him jump ever so slightly, jolting him from his thoughts.
Her tone was syrupy, laced with mischief, and he knew- oh, he knew - she was doing this on purpose.
Sebastian, sharp as ever, leaned forward with a wicked grin. “Yeah, you’re looking a little… flushed, Ominis,” he teased, drawing out the last word.
Ominis’ jaw tightened. “Don’t you have somewhere to be, Sebastian?” he bit out, his dead eyes boring into his friend with a sharpness that could cut glass. Even without sight, Ominis’ piercing gaze was enough to make Sebastian straighten, a shiver running down his spine.
“All right, all right. Don’t get your knickers in a twist,I’m leaving.” Sebastian stood, still chuckling as he grabbed his half-eaten apple and the tome he’d been leafing through. “Though I do need to find Weasley and ask how he pulled that off.”
“Check the Divination classroom,” she called after him, her tone perfectly pleasant. “He’s probably still cleaning up the mess.”
“Noted,” Sebastian said with a wink before sauntering off, his laughter echoing faintly as he disappeared among the shelves.
The moment he was out of earshot, she turned back to Ominis, her movements quick and deliberate. The soft strands of her hair brushed against his cheek as she did, sending a shiver down his spine.
“So,” she said, her voice low and teasing as her smirk spread wide. “Why are you doomed, Ominis?”
He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose in defeat. “I was hoping you hadn’t heard that part.”
“Oh, but I did,” she purred, leaning closer, her eyes gleaming with mischief. “And I want to know everything.”
“Sebastian thought the challenge assuming,” Ominis spoke truthfully as he began gathering his books and quills.
“He thinks that I don’t have the capacity to regulate my emotions without…” his word halted as his actions did so “release.”
Ominis’ voice was smooth, steady, and entirely too composed. It caught his girlfriend off guard, especially since she was expecting the usual hint of rosy embarrassment to bloom on his pale, freckled cheeks. Normally, the mere whisper of anything remotely intimate, specifically involving him, was enough to send his carefully curated poise toppling faster than a tipsy Prewett on a broomstick.
This time, however, there was no such reaction. Instead, Ominis spoke with a calmness that unsettled her, as if he had mastered some secret she wasn’t privy to.
Her eyes flicked up to his face, searching for any trace of the usual pink hue or flustered demeanor, but all she found was his characteristic serene expression. She hesitated, suddenly unsure how to respond. “Oh,” she mumbled, her voice quieter than she intended, as she clutched his notes close to her chest. Basically embracing it to herself.
Ominis suppressed the smirk threatening to creep onto his face, savoring her rare moment of uncertainty. He didn’t press, letting the silence stretch just long enough to leave her wondering before he reached for his heavier books.
As they rounded a corner, their sides brushed together in that effortless way they always did when walking side by side. Ominis leaned just slightly closer, his movements subtle, as though the proximity were accidental. But it wasn’t.
His nose caught a whiff of her familiar scent; something soft and warm, with a hint of lavender. He breathed in a little deeper, savoring the way it wrapped around him, filling his lungs like a comforting charm. The corners of his lips twitched upward.
He loved her. Every little thing about her, from her laugh to the way she fit so perfectly beside him. And while he didn’t mind losing their playful wager it didn’t stop him from relishing moments like this. Moments where he could get the upper hand, even if only for a second.
“Sebastian,” he began, his tone light and conversational, “is wrong about most things. This time is no different.”
The casual dismissal caught her attention, and she glanced up at him with a raised brow, only to find his expression completely neutral. His delivery was so nonchalant it was impossible to tell if he meant the words or if he was simply trying to get under her skin.
Before she could form a response, Ominis tapped his wand, sending the library door swinging open with a practiced ease. He stepped aside, gesturing subtly for her to go first.
“After you, my love,” he said, his voice dipping just slightly into a warmer tone that sent a shiver down her spine. It was her who was now basically turning red.
Her steps faltered briefly as she passed through the doorway, her mind racing to decipher whether he was teasing her, challenging her, or simply enjoying her confusion. She turned her head to glance back at him, and though his unseeing eyes remained forward, the faintest smirk played at his lips.
She couldn’t shake the feeling that Ominis was toying with her. It was subtle, in the way he spoke and carried himself, but she knew him well enough to notice. Her thoughts drifted briefly to the time she had confessed something… unexpected.
She had told him outright that his gentlemanly nature turned her on more effectively than a Lumos charm lit up a pitch-black corridor. The shock on his face had been priceless. “These are the bare minimum,” he had said, looking genuinely baffled by her declaration. She’d replied in her own way—by dropping to her knees and showing him just how much she appreciated his “bare minimum.” That memory still lingered, vivid and unshakable.
Before she could get lost in those thoughts, she cleared her throat, the flush rising in her cheeks betraying her composure.
“Are you all right?” Ominis asked, his voice warm and amused. He didn’t need to see her to know exactly why she sounded so flustered.
“Something in my throat,” she muttered, hoping he wouldn’t press further.
Ominis chuckled softly but didn’t comment, choosing instead to savor her bashful tone. He loved these moments, where her sharp wit gave way to sweet timidity.
As they reached the doors leading outside, Ominis suddenly turned the other way, heading toward the familiar path leading to the Slytherin dorms.
“Omi,” she called after him, quickening her pace to catch up. “Lunch is this way.”
“Yes, love, I know,” he replied calmly, his wand tapping lightly against the stone floor. “But I thought it’d be wise to drop off my supplies before dinner.”
She caught up, falling into step beside him. “And?” she pressed, sensing there was more to his diversion.
“And,” he added, a faint blush dusting his pale cheeks, “I have a gift for you.” His tone softened, and his unseeing eyes seemed to gleam with something that made her heart flutter.
Her curiosity ignited instantly. “What is it?” she asked without hesitation.
Ominis laughed at her eagerness, the sound light and genuine. “You’re impatient as ever.”
“I’m just a curious girl,” she mumbled, a slight pout forming on her lips as they continued toward the dorms.
And then the questions began. “Is it white?” she asked, tilting her head in thought.
“I wouldn’t know,” Ominis replied smoothly, his voice tinged with sarcasm.
“Oh, right,” she muttered with a grin. “You’re more blind than first years helping Garreth brew potions in exchange for those god-awful crude magazines.”
Ominis chuckled, shaking his head. “A generous comparison, but I like to think I’m slightly more competent than they are.”
She giggled, but her curiosity wouldn’t let up. “Can you touch it?”
Ominis gave her a look before he raised an eyebrow “Like most gifts i give, yes you can.” he spoke softly trying not to showcase his notorious Gaunt annoyance at stupidity.
If Sebastian had been the one to ask such an absurd question, Ominis knew exactly how he’d respond.
“Sebastian,” he’d say in his most exasperated tone, “sometimes when you speak, you force me to believe that you fell off your broomstick and hit your head on every branch of the Whomping Willow.”
His girlfriend couldn’t help but giggle at the thought. “I guess that was quite the ‘Sebastian question,’” she quipped, clearly amused by her own joke.
“You guessed correctly,” Ominis replied with a chuckle, shaking his head as he imagined Sebastian’s affronted face. The conversation dissolved into soft laughter, and for a time, their walk fell into a comfortable silence, punctuated only by the quiet hum of her voice.
It was a tune Ominis recognized—a jaunty melody she must have picked up from one of the castle’s many eccentric portraits. Specifically, a portrait named Salamander.
Salamander was a younger-looking wizard, forever captured in the prime of his life, whose painting hung in a hallway near the Astronomy Tower. Despite his best efforts to rise above petty feelings like jealousy, Ominis couldn’t stop the irritation bubbling up at the sound of that blasted tune.
“Mind changing the tune, love?” he asked as they rounded another corner, keeping his voice calm and even.
“Sorry, Omi,” she said, her tone light and unbothered. “I was just talking to Mander about constellations and how stars change over the centuries. We had quite the conversation. At first, he thought it was because the Earth is flat, but I explained why that’s not true.”
Her voice carried on, animated and carefree, as if she didn’t notice Ominis stiffening slightly beside her.
He wasn’t hearing anything after the word Mander. Mander. She’d given him a nickname.
His jaw tightened. Nicknames were a rare and precious thing, and the only two men privileged enough to have them were Ominis Gaunt himself and Sebastian Sallow. And now now this Salamander had joined their exclusive club? His thick brows twitched as her cheerful recounting of her conversation went on and on and on about that irritating portrait.
“He sounds absolutely delightful,” Ominis said finally, his tone tight as he worked to keep his jealousy at bay. “Though I suspect he must’ve been dropped as an infant—several times, at least.”
She didn’t catch the bite in his words. Instead, she smiled, trotting a little faster to keep up with his suddenly longer strides. “Oh, he’s wonderful, Omi. And he’s a poet!” she added with a bright enthusiasm that only made the knot in his chest tighten.
“He wrote me a poem about how my eyes remind him of the stars,” she said, her voice dreamy. “It was soooo beautiful. I wish I could remember it word for word.”
Ominis’ grip on his wand tightened imperceptibly, and his jaw clenched so hard he thought it might crack. Of course this Mander had written her a poem. Of course, it had been about her eyes. He was a painting, for Merlin’s sake, an inanimate object! Yet here he was, swooping in with flowery words and lofty metaphors.
“How… poetic of him,” Ominis managed to say, his voice strained as his long strides carried them faster toward the dorms.
She glanced up at him, her brow furrowing slightly. “You’re walking so fast, are you all right?”
“Perfectly fine,” he replied curtly. “Just eager to get back.”
Her confusion melted into a soft smile as she caught up to him, slipping her arms into the crevice of his elbow. “You’re adorable when you’re in a hurry, you know that?”
Ominis faltered slightly at her words, his tense expression softening. He exhaled, his lips twitching upward into a small, reluctant smile. His strides now matching her pace.
“Adorable, am I?” he asked, his tone lighter now.
“Absolutely,” she teased, squeezing his hand. “Though I still think Mander would have something to say about it.”
His smile froze. Mander again.
Ominis swore that painting would be moved to the darkest, most forgotten hallway in Hogwarts before the week was out.
Before Ominis could fully plot where Salamander’s portrait would meet its unfortunate relocation, Leander Prewett’s voice rang out, startling both of them.
“Oi! What are the lovebirds up to?” Leander called, swaggering over with a smirk as he glanced between them.
She turned toward him, blinking in surprise. “Leander,” she greeted, her tone curious. “What do you want?”
“Nothing much,” he said, eyeing them with a grin. “Just wondering if you two are up to anything interesting.”
“Oh, you know,” she said breezily, her lips twitching into a mischievous grin. “Just making Ominis jealous of Salamander.”
Ominis stopped dead in his tracks, his expression shifting from mild annoyance to full-blown betrayal. His pale freckled face twisted into a scowl that screamed, How dare you.
Leander frowned, clearly baffled. “The painting?” he asked, his brow furrowing as he tried to connect the dots.
“Exactly,” she replied, giving a small, conspiratorial nod.
Meanwhile, Ominis’ frustration simmered just below the surface. “Can we help you, Prewett?” he snapped, his tone sharp and utterly devoid of patience.
“Oh, not you, Gaunt,” Leander said dismissively, waving a hand as though Ominis wasn’t even there. “I need your girlfriend.”
Ominis’ grip on his wand tightened, but before he could respond, Leander reached into his robe and produced a neatly wrapped package. It was wrapped in black, silk-like paper and topped with a bright yellow bow.
She raised an eyebrow, intrigued, and took the package from him. “Who’s this for?” she asked, turning it over in her hands before noticing the name written in tidy handwriting. “Imelda?”
“Of course,” Leander said, puffing his chest out slightly as if proud of himself.
Her lips twitched, and she leaned in closer to inspect the gift. “Oh, Poppy’s going to have a field day with this,” she murmured under her breath, more to herself than anyone else.
“What was that?” Leander asked, leaning forward, his confusion deepening.
“Nothing,” she said smoothly, slipping the package into the deep, enchanted pocket of her robe with a quick flick of her wand. “I’ll give it to her when I see her.”
“Thanks,” Leander said with a satisfied nod. “And make sure to tell her it’s from her secret admirer, yeah?” With that, he turned on his heel and sauntered off, clearly proud of his efforts.
As soon as he was out of earshot, her face split into a wide grin, her mind already racing with the chaos this would undoubtedly cause.
Ominis, still by her side, tilted his head toward her. “What’s the smirk for, love?” he asked, his tone curious as he guided them back toward the path leading to the dungeons.
“Oh, nothing,” she said, though her voice was laced with amusement. “Just thinking about how karma works.”
Ominis arched a brow but didn’t press further. They walked in companionable silence, their steps muffled as they moved through the shadowy halls. The air grew cooler as they descended, and the torchlight flickered faintly against the stone walls.
She glanced around, noticing the path they were taking. Her grin widened when she realized he was sneaking her into his room. Ominis was weaving through the less-traveled corridors to avoid detection, leading her deeper into Slytherin territory.
“Ominis,” she whispered, her tone playful, “are you sneaking me into the boys-only dormitory?”
Ominis smirked, a rare, devilish gleam lighting up his pale features. “Perhaps,” he replied smoothly, his voice low and teasing. “We could not go, if you wish to not receive your present?”
She laughed, her voice soft and melodic, and slipped her hand into his. “Okay, okay I’ll bite,” she said, squeezing his hand gently as they disappeared into the shadows.
The light echoes of their footsteps became a comforting sound in the abandoned hallway, the tune she hummed now was one from a candy from honey dukes. Ominis forgot the name of the candy but he knew exactly how it tasted in her mouth.
As they ascended up towards the dorm and made some quick and swift turns at the corner. The pair finally at ease as they entered Ominis and Sebastians shared dormitories.
“Go sit on my bed love, I will come back with the gift.” Ominis said as he set his study books on his study table before heading towards his closet. Opening it his suits and robes are all hanging. All looked pristine.
HIs girlfriend was seated on his bed as she observed his figure. The light from the lantern nearby illuminates his feature in a glow that mimicked the setting rays of sunshine. His pale skin and platinum hair looked ethereal. His features are so soft and delicate.
“Here it is,” he said as he picked up a neatly folded stack of clothes.
“What is Omi? What did you get me?” His girlfriend asked, now more excited than ever.
He chuckled at her enthusiasm, knowing very well that he really should just give him the gift than making her wait.
As her hands held on to the delicate and soft fabric of silk her eyes widened.
“This is lingerie, Ominis!” She said as she looked at him.
“Yes it is my love, keen observation.” Ominis spoke as his eyes had a flutter of tease and amusement in it.
“Well Ominis I am unsure if you heard me correctly yesterday but yo-” Before she could reiterate the rules of the challenge Ominis interrupted.
“There is no rule against gift giving.” He said softly as he sat on his study chair. His mind materialises the image of the girl looking at him rather than the lingerie in her hand.
“..I suppose.” She mumbled as she felt the fabric slip and soothe her fingers with its coolness.
“What color is it my love?” Ominis asked.
“It’s black.” She said with a smile on her face as she appreciated the intricate lace and all.
“I figured it since it smelt of ink and lavender. That's why I bought it, it reminded me of you.” He said with a slight pink on his face.
An idea streamed its way inside his girlfriend's head.
“Hmm.. it’ll be a shame for me to wait a whole week before I could wear such a thoughtful gift.” She said teasingly.
Ominis raised an eyebrow before asking “What are you getting at love?”
“I think I would like to wear this now, Omi be a dear and turn around would you please?” she asked with a smile.
“I believe that is a violation of the rules you set upon us.” He said feeling as if his gifts may have backfired.
“There was nothing about getting naked in each other's proximity.” She said softly as she came closer to where he was seated.
She placed her hands on his thighs, as she kissed his lips softly. The intimate action was welcomed. Her lips captured him in a slow kiss as if to say thank you.
“Thank you for the gift Omi,” she whispered in her ears before she kissed it.
Ominis just kept turning red. His body felt hot and his mind felt fuzzy.
What was he thinking? He brought the hottest girl he knows into his dorms, to give her lingerie as a gift all the while he is participating in a challenge with said girl of celibacy for a week.
He practically dug himself the hole for him to lie in.
“Turn around Omi,” she said in a voice feigning annoyance. As she walked over to the bed, her back to the boy behind her, she began to undress.
Her rob was the first to hit the ground below her, then her tie, then her white shirt. And Ominis felt his heart skip a beat as she came into her mind. Now clad in her skirt, socks and shoes but her back was naked. His little minx of a girlfriend forgot her bra. Then came time to take off her skirt and Ominis couldn’t help but hold his breath. He felt the familiar rush of blood through his body, the familiar knot in his throat, and the knowing heat that brewed in his stomach.
He was getting aroused.
“You know I was scared that I would be late for breakfast, so I just didn’t wear my knickers or my bra.” She said casually as she took off her skirt. Bending over a bit. The image of her supple skin glistening in the light came into view and Ominis finally realized what he was challenging himself to not do for a week.
He basically challenged himself to not caress her soft meaty thighs as he buried - no he can’t. He can't reminisce about what he can’t do, because then he will do it. Yes he had great restraint in the outside world but this was his dormitory for heaven's sake. He is sure that he has tainted this room more than Sebastian, and that is a fact.
Another image invaded Ominis’ mind— his girlfriend standing before his mirror, adorned in the black silk panties that clung a little snug to her hips, the delicate lace tracing patterns against her soft skin. She reached behind her, fingers expertly hooking her bra into place, completely unaware of the absolute torment she was putting him through. Her ponytail had come undone, and now her hair cascaded over her shoulders, teasing him further as it brushed against the swell of her chest.
“This looks so cute!” she gushed, turning from side to side to admire herself in the mirror.
Ominis’ chest felt tight. His mind had short-circuited. He was staring— gaping, really— his cheeks flaming red as his body grew unbearably warm.
This was supposed to be her latest attempt to seduce him, a move in their ongoing game to see who would cave first. But she had gotten completely sidetracked, too busy admiring the gift to remember her mission.
"Isn't it, Omi?" she asked, spinning toward him with genuine excitement.
He barely managed a reply. “Ye-yeah,” he croaked, stepping forward until he was right behind her. She was still admiring the way the silk hugged her when he lightly placed his hands on her hips.
In an instant, she turned and pressed soft, giddy kisses to his lips.
“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” she murmured between each peck, her warmth sinking into him, her scent, mallowsweet and vanilla, wrapping around him like a spell.
It was too much.
The familiar weight settled low in his abdomen, his body betraying him in a matter of seconds. His cock pressed insistently against the fabric of his robe, a physical reminder of just how little control he had when it came to her.
And the worst part? It had taken nothing for her to unravel him. She could have been wearing a jester’s costume, and he still would have felt the same. Because it wasn’t about the silk, or the lace, or the way it clung to her curves.
It was her.
Her laugh. Her scent. The way she felt. The way she felt about him.
And Merlin, was he a mess for her.
“Are you okay, Omi?” she asked, blinking up at him before following his gaze down.
Her lips parted, and a slow, mischievous smile crept onto her face. “Oh… does someone need help?” she teased, voice dipping into a knowing lilt.
Ominis froze. His grip on her hips tightened ever so slightly, his throat dry as he struggled to maintain some semblance of composure.
"That's j-just a normal reaction," he muttered, his voice low, warm against the side of her face.
A shiver coursed through her, her skin erupting in goosebumps at the sound of his voice. She swallowed hard, but it was too late— her body had already responded before her brain could catch up.
She let out a soft, broken whimper.
And suddenly, the dam broke.
Ominis pulled her flush against him, his mouth crashing onto hers with a desperation that left them both breathless. His hands were in her hair, on her waist, on her, kneading, feeling, memorizing the way she melted into him. Her hands were just as eager, slipping beneath his robes, pulling at his clothes with a feverish need to feel him.
"I told you, Imelda, I don’t- WOAH!"
Sebastian’s voice cut through the haze like a blade.
They froze.
Ominis turned so fast he nearly knocked her over, planting himself in front of his barely-dressed girlfriend as Sebastian and Imelda stood in the doorway, both looking thoroughly entertained.
From behind him, she let out a tiny squeak, grabbing onto Ominis' robe as she gladly hid behind his taller frame.
Sebastian’s smirk stretched across his face as he crossed his arms. "Well, well, well. Looks like it’s time for you to pay up, Reyes."
Imelda groaned, already pulling out a small satchel of gold. "I had more faith in you, Ms. Hero of Hogwarts," she grumbled.
"Wait!" she called from behind Ominis, making both intruders pause.
"What?" Imelda asked, clearly irritated.
"You didn’t lose, Imelda. We didn’t do anything besides some light making out," she said matter-of-factly before nudging Ominis. "Right, Omi?"
Ominis blinked, his mind still racing, his body still aching. But he forced himself to nod, his face burning. "She’s correct."
Sebastian sighed dramatically. "Fine." But his smirk didn’t waver.
She took the opportunity to grab her robe and wrap it around herself before stepping forward. "Why are you two even here?" she asked, pulling the fabric tightly around her as she stood next to Ominis.
"Sebastian said he didn’t have my Potions book-"
"Which I don’t!" Sebastian cut in quickly.
"Which he clearly does," Imelda deadpanned, as she picked up her book from the study table in front of them.
Ominis pinched the bridge of his nose. "As joyous as this reunion is, may I suggest you both leave so we can become a bit more… decent?"
He was amazed his voice didn’t waver.
"Five minutes," Imelda said before dragging a still-grinning Sebastian out with her.
The door shut. Silence fell.
"Soooo…" she started, pulling off her robe as she knelt to gather her discarded clothes.
Ominis swallowed hard. "Yeah."
She stood, slipping into her uniform with swift, practiced movements, casting a few quick spells to smooth out the wrinkles. Ominis did the same, knowing full well she’d fix his uniform properly in just a moment.
As expected, she turned to him, smoothing down his collar with gentle fingers. "I guess I really shouldn’t be worried."
Ominis raised an eyebrow. "Worried? About what?"
Her lips curled into a smirk. "About losing."
Ominis let out a soft chuckle before settling his hands on her hips, pulling her just a little closer. "I made a miscalculated decision," he murmured. "One that will not repeat going forward, my love."
And before she could respond, he tilted her chin up, brushing his lips over hers. His tongue traced the bottom of her lip before he pulled away— just a little tease, a taste of what was to come.
Her breath hitched, but she laughed, threading her fingers through his. "I really adore the gift, Ominis. I think I’ll wear it when I’m getting my way with you."
His grip on her hand tightened. "You’re a menace."
She giggled, tugging him toward the door. "And you love it."
Imelda and Sebastian leaned casually against the stone wall outside Ominis’ dorm, waiting. As soon as the couple emerged, Sebastian’s smirk deepened.
“So,” Imelda began, falling into step beside them as they made their way toward the quad. “Are you two planning to spend your nights in the Room of Requirement this week?”
Ominis frowned. “What for?”
Sebastian snorted, already knowing where this was going.
Imelda rolled her eyes. “Your lovely girlfriend explained the full terms of the bet, Gaunt. No wanking your willy, no flicking your bean— so wouldn’t it only be fair to spend the nights together as well? I mean, it’s not like you two haven’t done it before.”
Ominis opened his mouth, then promptly shut it.
She had a point.
His girlfriend hummed in thought before glancing up at him, amusement flickering in her eyes. “That does seem fair, doesn’t it, Omi?”
A pause. Then, begrudgingly, he sighed. “Fine.”
So it was settled.
Tuesday came and went without incident.
They both remained on their best behavior, though that wasn’t to say the tension wasn’t there; because it was.
Normally, Tuesday nights in the Room of Requirement were spent brewing potions, tending to plants, and— more often than not— tangled up in each other’s arms before bed. But not this time. Not with the bet hanging over them.
So instead of their usual routine, she sat behind him, fingers kneading into his back, working out the tension he refused to acknowledge.
Ominis knew she was up to something.
The moment she offered a massage, he had braced himself for torture - a slow, teasing descent into madness. But that wasn’t what happened.
There was no deliberate shift in her weight to press against him, no featherlight touches skimming too low, no sultry whispers against his ear.
Just her hands. Just steady, firm movements that should have lulled him into a state of relaxation.
And yet, he was more tense than before.
His muscles were coiled tight, his body on high alert, because none of this made sense.
She was supposed to tease him. Tempt him. Drive him over the edge until he cracked under pressure. That’s what he had prepared for.
Instead, she had done nothing.
Just as the unease was beginning to get to him, her hands stilled.
“I’m tired,” she murmured, shifting beside him onto her side. “I think I’ll stop here.”
He tensed further, waiting for the catch. But there wasn’t one.
She yawned, stretching languidly before curling up comfortably against the open space beside him.
“Goodnight, Omi.”
Her voice was sweet, too sweet, and when he turned his head toward her, he could practically hear the smirk in her tone.
Ominis lay rigid, mind spinning.
This was a trap.
It had to be.
But as the minutes stretched on, her breathing evened out, soft and steady. She had actually fallen asleep.
What the hell was she playing at?
She knew him too well.
She knew that if she had teased him, he would have resisted, fought back just as hard. But this? This was calculated.
Keeping him on edge. Keeping him confused.
And Merlin help him; it was working.
At some point during the night, Ominis succumbed to sleep. His body had finally relaxed, muscles no longer wound tight with tension. And when he woke, he felt, strangely, well-rested.
Except… something was off.
The warmth beside him had shifted. Her body had gravitated closer in sleep, her presence so familiar now that he could feel it even without touching her. He reached for his wand instinctively, letting the vibrations fill in the image his sight could not provide.
And Merlin, was it a sight.
Her hair spilled across the pillow like spilled ink, a chaotic mess around her peaceful face. Her lips were slightly parted, a faint line of drool escaping the corner of her mouth, completely unbothered in her slumber.
His mind drifted lower, tracing the delicate silk of her nightdress, short, because she preferred it that way. The thin straps had slipped from her shoulders, and with them, the fabric had shifted— too much.
His breath hitched.
One perfect breast had spilled free, soft, inviting, rising and falling with every slow breath she took.
Ominis clenched his jaw, swallowing against the immediate heat rushing through his body. But it was too late; his cock had already responded, painfully stiff, throbbing against the constraint of his underwear.
A low groan slipped from his lips as he felt the unmistakable dampness of precum leaking from the tip.
This was unfair.
She had done nothing, and yet here he was— wrecked.
-
Ominis stood abruptly, grabbing a fresh towel before making his way to the bathroom, his body aching for relief. The moment the door shut behind him, he let out a sharp breath, pressing his palms against the cool porcelain sink.
This was hell.
It wasn’t unusual for him to wake before her— she always slept longer, comforted by the familiar sounds of his morning routine. But today? Today, he needed to get away before he did something reckless.
He turned the knobs, letting cold water cascade over his overheated skin. The shock of it sent a shiver through him, pressing him back against the chilled stone wall. His cock was still hard, still leaking, and he hated how easy it was for her to do this to him.
Even now, his mind betrayed him.
The boat house.
Her.
The way she had pressed her tits together, slick and warm, dragging him between them before wrapping her lips around him. The way she whimpered, the way her tongue had—
Fuck.
Ominis' jaw clenched. His hips had jerked involuntarily, searching for the pleasure he refused to grant himself.
He gritted his teeth.
No.
Not here. Not like this.
The pressure in his abdomen coiled tighter, a slow, agonizing burn. He needed more—but he wasn’t going to lose.
He quickly turned the water from cold to warm, hoping to reset his thoughts.
It didn’t work.
Because now, the warmth reminded him of her, of the way her body pressed against his, the softness of her skin, the heat pooling between her thighs as she whimpered against him.
Ominis groaned, gripping his aching length for just a moment before yanking his hand away.
Am I really this weak?
Do I have no resolve?
Precum dripped onto the tile, and he sucked in a sharp breath.
This was supposed to be his damn solace.
Disgusted with himself, he shut off the water, stepping out of the shower still hard, still frustrated beyond belief. He wrapped the towel around his waist, gripping it tighter than necessary, willing himself to calm down.
And then— she walked in.
Yawning as she stretched, her silk nightdress hitching up just enough to reveal the soft underside of her ass.
Ominis nearly whimpered.
Instead, he swallowed his groan, his fingers twitching at his sides as she moved past him.
Completely. Unbothered.
This was unfair.
She grabbed her toothbrush and handed it to him with a small smile. “Good morning, Omi.”
He forced himself to take it, shoving it into his mouth before he could say something pathetic.
She started brushing her teeth, her voice muffled through the bristles. “You don’t take hot showers. What changed today?”
His grip on the sink tightened. “Nothing.”
Liar.
His wand was in his pocket, and despite himself, he couldn’t stop it from registering the details of the room; the way her breasts bounced as she brushed, the way her thighs pressed together slightly as she leaned over to spit—
Salazar, have mercy.
“Whatever you say, Omi.” She moved to wash her face, her voice still deep with grogginess, completely unaware of how utterly undone he was.
Or maybe…
Maybe she knew exactly what she was doing.
When she stood straight again, water dripping down her neck, he was certain—
He needed to put his mouth on her.
But she didn’t give him the chance.
“I’m going to take a shower-” She paused, hesitating. He could hear the shift in her tone, could practically feel her catching herself before saying something dangerous.
He exhaled slowly.
She had almost invited him in.
Instead, she cleared her throat. “Never mind. Will you wait for me before breakfast?”
Ominis shut his eyes for a moment before replying, "Yes."
She disappeared into the shower, leaving him half-naked, painfully hard, and more frustrated than ever.
He stomped back into the room, dragging his robes on with more force than necessary.
The door opened again, and he heard it-
The rustle of fabric. The soft zip of her skirt. The quiet snap of buttons being fastened.
And then… nothing.
Ominis turned slightly, waiting.
She always teased him when getting dressed. She always made a show of slipping into her uniform, always brushed against him in passing.
But today?
Nothing.
When she finally emerged, she was fully dressed—plaid skirt, vest, tie neatly knotted, socks pulled perfectly into place.
And Ominis?
Ominis felt betrayed.
Where was the game? Where was the seduction?
She sat at her vanity, combing through her hair as if nothing was out of the ordinary.
His mind raced.
Why isn’t she teasing me?
What is her play?
Isn’t she frustrated?
She hummed in thought, posing with different hairstyles before glancing at him. "Do you think I should leave my hair down today?"
Ominis barely processed the question.
When he didn’t answer, she huffed. “Omi, I want your opinion.”
He let out a slow, measured breath, gripping the edge of the bed. "Whatever makes you happy, my love."
She rolled her eyes. "That’s not an answer."
Neither was hers.
She was dodging the game, changing the rules, and it was driving him insane.
She finished combing her hair, and then–
The scent of mallowsweet filled the air.
Her perfume.
The last step of her routine.
Ominis sat stiffly, his cock still aching beneath his trousers. His body was begging for relief, and all she had done was get dressed.
She hadn’t flirted.
She hadn’t touched him.
She hadn’t even tried to seduce him.
And yet, she was winning.
His grip on the bed tightened.
He didn’t know what her plan was.
But he was starting to realize one very important thing,
He might actually lose this bet.
----
She liked to think she was winning. That her calculated restraint was driving Ominis mad with frustration.
But the truth?
She was suffering just as much.
She missed everything; the weight of him pressed against her, the slow grind of his hips, the way he groaned so sweetly whenever she had him in her mouth. Ominis was addictive, a drug she could never get enough of, and now? Now she was deprived.
Her body knew it.
During class, she was restless, her legs bouncing beneath the desk, fingers twitching against the parchment as she forced herself to focus. But it was impossible. The minutes dragged, each second more unbearable than the last, because all she wanted, all she needed, was to find Ominis and kiss him.
Just a kiss.
Something small, something innocent.
But still intimacy.
By midday, she was desperate, anticipation coiling in her stomach as she made her way to lunch. She could almost see it; Ominis waiting for her at their usual spot, his head tilted slightly toward the sound of her approach, a soft smirk playing at his lips.
But then a note arrived.
Ominis had sent word that he’d be spending the afternoon helping Sebastian and Anne with Potions. He wouldn’t be meeting her for lunch.
Her stomach dropped.
The devastation was instant, a wave of disappointment crashing over her so strongly that she froze in place. She knew where they’d be; the library, but she couldn’t just show up. That would be desperate.
So instead, she forced herself to stay away.
She tried not to think about him.
Tried not to think about the ache between her thighs, the way her body responded just from missing him.
But it was impossible.
Because she felt it with every step she took; the warmth slicking her inner thighs, the way her body wept for him, not from need or stimulation but from something deeper, something worse.
I miss him.
Not just his touch. Not just the sex.
Him.
Her mind drifted.
The first time Ominis had pinned her down and insisted— begged— for her to sit on his face. How nervous she’d been, worried she’d suffocate him, but he hadn’t cared. He wanted it. He wanted her.
And when she had finally given in?
He had pulled her down harder.
She had never been worshiped the way Ominis worshiped her. Never known that kind of devotion, that kind of intensity, until him.
Oh, fuck.
Her thighs pressed together, instinctive, but it wasn’t enough.
She needed him. Now.
Lunch forgotten, she wandered the castle grounds, hoping the cold air would settle her, but it only made her feel worse. Being outside without Ominis next to her felt wrong, felt lonely.
She didn’t even care about sex at this point.
She just needed him.
She didn’t think twice as she marched toward the library, entering with determined steps. But Ominis wasn’t there.
A pout pulled at her lips.
She spent the next twenty minutes searching, feeling ridiculous, before she finally checked the Potions classroom.
And there he was.
Beautiful. Frustrating. Hers.
He stood at the front of the classroom, methodically guiding Anne and Sebastian through the steps of brewing a Pepperup Potion. A punishment from Nurse Blaney for being caught stealing potions, and instead of detention, they had been assigned one hundred Pepperup Potions to make.
Cold season was approaching, after all.
She didn’t care about any of that.
“Ominis!” she gasped, rushing toward him, ignoring the startled looks from the others as she threw her arms around his neck and kissed him.
Hard.
Too hard.
But she didn’t care, because his lips were on hers, and that was all that mattered.
The moment was over in seconds, but she felt it everywhere— her lips tingling, her skin buzzing, her heart racing.
She pulled away just as quickly, breathless.
Ominis let out a low chuckle, his smirk unmistakable. “Couldn’t stay away, could you?”
She scoffed, lifting her chin. “No, I could. I just came here to meet Anne.”
Anne blinked, confused. “…Me?”
“Yes.” She cleared her throat. “I was going to ask if you wanted to go to Hogsmeade today.”
Anne gave her a knowing look before smiling apologetically. “I can’t. I promised Natty I’d study for Transfiguration with her.”
A beat of silence.
Ominis smirked. “Caught in your lie.”
Her stomach flipped, heat creeping up her neck as his tone— so smug, so satisfied— sank into her skin.
Because he was right.
She had lasted half a day without him before completely unraveling.
And the worst part?
Ominis knew it.
---
By Wednesday night, Ominis and his sweet, infuriating girlfriend had made it to yet another night of self-control.
They were in bed, both immersed in their respective readings. Ominis lay propped up against the pillows, his wand hovering lightly over the pages of his book. He was clad only in silk sleep pants, having forgone a shirt; his preferred way to sleep. The air in the room was cool, but his skin remained warm, his body always carrying heat.
And she?
She was struggling.
She had been glancing at him for the past half hour, barely retaining any of the information from her Dark Arts History reading. How could she focus when Ominis was lying next to her like this? When his defined chest was exposed, when the gentle rise and fall of his breathing made his muscles shift just enough to distract her?
Tension wasn't thick, but it was there.
It had settled between them like an unspoken understanding; the constant awareness of each other's bodies, the quiet acknowledgment that one wrong move could unravel everything.
She sighed softly, finally giving up on her book. Closing it, she placed it on her nightstand before shifting closer, curling into Ominis’ warm side.
“Let’s cuddle, Omi.” Her voice was soft, sleepy, as she nuzzled against his bare chest.
A low chuckle rumbled through him. He set his book aside, adjusting easily to accommodate her, his arm wrapping around her waist, pulling her against him.
“You’re so needy.” He teased, his lips brushing against the top of her head.
She hummed contentedly, one leg lazily slipping over his. “Says you.”
His chest vibrated with quiet amusement, his fingers lazily tracing circles along her exposed thigh.
Ominis was always warm, always steady, and right now, she felt safe; wrapped in the scent of him, surrounded by his presence, his touch, his breath.
For a moment, she let herself just be, breathing in the stillness.
👉👈 Would you consider writing a sequel to Little Lark? What happened afterwards? I want to know 😖 Did Ominis end up marrying her while still in school? Did they actually get pregnant? Were they expelled? How about his family? 👀
I have a lot of questions please 🙏 I really like how you write!
I considered it and the answer is yes! Idk why I love that Ominis he is just sooooo in love! So yes I shall add a third part!
i am unsure of the timeline of when I'd post it. so if youd like for me to tag you when I post it lmk and I will do it!
Prompt: Ominis wants to ask out his crush (you) out to Hogsmeade. However, he feels overwhelmingly ill prepared. So he turns to Sebastian, his most trusted friend and the reason for his constant migraine.
AN: Its just cute Ominis tripping over his words. We love him.
Masterlist
"Hmm… I have to admit, Ominis, I didn't expect you to actually take the initiative to plan something." Sebastian smirked as he shut his Potions tome and tossed it onto the bed beside him.
Ominis frowned, arms crossing tightly. "I take initiative all the time, Sebastian. Your comment is completely unwarranted."
"I meant no harm, it’s just that you get so flustered around her, one might think you’ve been placed under the Imperius Curse. You barely move unless she wants you to; just standing there, nodding along like some enchanted statue, completely oblivious to the rest of the world." Sebastian’s smirk widened, thoroughly amused by how quickly Ominis bristled.
Ominis stiffened, grip tightening on the edge of his robe. "Will you help me or not?" His tone was clipped, irritation barely masked. If he let Sebastian continue, he'd be the one with the migraine soon enough.
I don’t get that flustered. He’s exaggerating.
Sebastian, however, chuckled knowingly. It wasn’t often that Ominis came to him for help usually, it was the other way around, with Sebastian begging for favors while Ominis rolled his eyes and reluctantly complied. In return, Sebastian would collect fresh potion ingredients for him and sneak in contraband books on literature and history.
But now? Now Ominis needed his expertise, and that made Sebastian’s ego swell just enough to ensure he was going to milk this for all it was worth.
"I’ll help you… on one condition." Sebastian leaned forward, clearly enjoying himself. "Admit that I am, without a doubt, the best dorm mate you could’ve ever asked for. And not that Weasley." His nose wrinkled in distaste as he recalled Ominis’ words from the previous night; something about how Garreth was a better dorm mate than him because, at the very least, his stupidity was contained to the occasional explosion.
That had stung. Not much, but enough.
Ominis huffed. "I will say it, and even mean it, if she agrees to go on that date with me."
Sebastian grinned. "Fair enough." He extended a hand, and Ominis clasped it, sealing the deal.
"Alright, first things first," Sebastian began, dropping back into his chair, "your plan is solid in its simplicity. What you lack, my dear friend, is confidence."
Ominis drew back, lips parting in offense. "I have confidence."
Sebastian shot him a pointed look. "Rule number one: you are not allowed to get offended when I point out areas that need improvement."
A heavy sigh. "Fine." Ominis grumbled, feeling as though he was quickly running out of options.
They moved to the study table, Sebastian rattling off various strategies, none of which seemed remotely useful to Ominis. And frankly, even Sebastian started to realize how impractical some of them were. A slow grin pulled at the corners of his lips as an idea struck.
"Forget all that, Ominis. The only tip you need?....Fake it till you make it."
-----
Ominis stood behind the girl he wanted to ask out, fingers curled tightly around the stems of the flowers he had carefully chosen. Their scent is soft, sweet, and fresh mixed with the crisp evening air. In the other hand, a bag from Honeydukes rested against his palm, filled with chocolates and candies he knew she was running low on, along with a few new varieties he thought she might enjoy. Thoughtful. Simple. Yet, as he hid them behind his back, they suddenly felt woefully inadequate.
She stood by the gardens next to the greenhouse, the glow of the setting sun casting golden highlights along her figure as she gazed out at the vast, rippling lake. A gentle breeze carried the scent of damp earth and blooming mallowsweet, mingling with the distant salt of the water. Ominis could feel the evening sun warming his face, the rest of him shielded beneath his robes.
Should I have changed?
His fingers twitched against the wrinkled fabric of his sleeve. He hadn't thought to freshen up, and now, standing here in the presence of someone so effortlessly lovely, doubt clawed at him. I probably look awful. Damn you, Sebastian.
Before his thoughts could spiral further, she turned toward him.
"Good evening, Ominis."
Her voice, warm and lilting, carried a softness that made his chest tighten. He could hear the smile in her words, the kind that wrinkled her nose and made her eyes glimmer. The same smile that, on more than one occasion, had rendered him utterly useless in conversation.
Ominis knew she liked him. He wasn’t oblivious, well not entirely. He had proof, after all. He had overheard Poppy, Imelda, Natty, and her discussing their ideal Yule Ball dates in the Great Hall one afternoon.
“I want someone poised, someone who looks put together,” she had mused, her voice thoughtful as she nibbled on a piece of fruit.
Ominis, seated behind her with his tome open, had pretended to read. In reality, he had been using his wand to subtly amplify their voices, a trick he had discovered by accident but employed more often than he cared to admit.
“You forgot to add that he has to be a Gaunt and blind, too,” Imelda had teased.
The girl had immediately elbowed her, a huff of protest leaving her lips before she glanced back; perhaps to check if Ominis had overheard. He had, of course. But he had kept his head bowed, feigning deep concentration over his book. Meanwhile, across the table, Sebastian had watched him with blatant amusement, no doubt wondering why in Merlin’s name Ominis was turning red while supposedly reading Potions notes.
Now, standing in front of her, Ominis took a steadying breath, forcing Sebastian’s words to the forefront of his mind.
Fake it till you make it.
He had faked emotions before. Confidence, too. It was a survival skill in his household. But here–now—he wasn’t sure he could fake anything. Not when her scent of mallowsweet and vanilla wrapped around him, not when her warmth radiated so closely, drawing him in like a beacon.
"Good evening," he greeted, keeping his tone even. "How was your day?" It was routine between them, an effortless exchange they shared daily.
She hummed thoughtfully. "Nothing new happened, but I suppose that's a blessing compared to having to battle an entire battalion of goblins."
There was amusement in her voice, but Ominis still winced. He remembered that day far too well; oh the chaos, the confusion, the distant sounds of battle echoing through the castle walls. He had been in the Great Hall with the other students, unable to do anything but listen. He had gripped his wand so tightly that his knuckles ached, mind racing with fear for her safety. It had been a startling realization— how much he cared for her, how much the thought of losing her had shaken him.
And now, standing here, trying to gather the courage to ask her out, that fear clawed at him again. But for an entirely different reason.
Ominis took a measured step back, clearing his throat as he steadied himself. His fingers tightened around the flowers and Honeydukes bag, hidden behind his back like a schoolboy concealing a poorly written essay. The scent of mallowsweet and vanilla drifted between them, further unraveling his composure. He could do this. He just had to fake it till he made it.
"I would like to ask you a question," he began, his voice carefully serious. "And please, feel free to be honest. Actually… I hope you will be honest."
His blind eyes found her, his posture straightening as if that alone could reinforce his resolve.
She tilted her head slightly, amusement dancing in her voice. "You can ask me anything, Ominis," she assured him gently. "And I promise, I will only tell you the truth. You have my word."
Emboldened by her reassurance, he exhaled and extended his hands toward her, finally revealing the gifts he'd been clutching. A bouquet of fresh flowers, fragrant, vibrant, delicate. And a small bag from Honeydukes, filled with chocolates and sweets he knew she liked, including a few new treats he hoped she would enjoy.
Her breath hitched, eyes widening as an involuntary gasp left her lips. "Ominis—"
But before she could speak further, he launched into his well-rehearsed speech.
"I have always admired your strength, generosity, and kindness from afar. And now…" He lifted his chin slightly, feigning unwavering confidence. "I would like to admire you up close. Will you allow me to take you to Hogsmeade on a date?"
The silence that followed nearly shattered his resolve.
His heart pounded in his chest, dreading the inevitable rejection. He braced himself for a polite letdown, his fingers already beginning to tighten around the bag in preparation to retreat.
"Ominis…" she started softly.
Here it comes.
"…Yes. I’d love that."
The breath he had been unknowingly holding escaped in a rush.
For a fleeting moment, relief flooded through him, washing away every ounce of doubt. A smile tugged at his lips, warmth creeping up his neck and burning his cheeks. But then—just as quickly, he remembered Sebastian’s words.
Fake the confidence.
Right. Confidence. He had to double down. He cleared his throat, shifting slightly as he tried to mask his overwhelming joy with what he thought was casual self-assurance.
"Of course," he said, waving a dismissive hand. "Anyone would be lucky to be courted by a Gaunt."
The moment the words left his mouth, he regretted them.
She raised an eyebrow, lips pressing together in amusement. "Oh? Is that so?"
Realizing how arrogant that sounded, he panicked. "Especially someone like you!" he blurted out, scrambling to fix it.
Her expression shifted. "Especially someone like… me?" There was a warning in her tone, one that sent his nerves into a complete frenzy.
"No! I didn’t mean it like that!" he exclaimed, suddenly feeling like he was drowning in his own words.
She crossed her arms, clearly enjoying his distress. "Then how did you mean it?"
His brain betrayed him, throwing every logical escape out the window. "I meant that… well, it only makes sense for you to say yes… because it’s me."
There was a pause. Then, she let out a soft chuckle. "Oh, really?"
Why did I say that? Merlin, strike me down.
Ominis groaned internally, scrambling for recovery. "I just—what I meant was—you and I—" He sighed, shoulders slumping in surrender. "I’m making an absolute fool of myself, aren’t I?"
Her laughter was soft but genuine, and it made his stomach flip. "A little," she admitted, stepping closer. "But it’s alright. I know what you meant."
He swallowed, grateful she was choosing to be kind rather than completely obliterate what was left of his dignity. "You do?"
She nodded, reaching out to gently take the flowers from his hands. "I do." A smile, warm and reassuring. "And I still want to go on that date with you, even if you manage to dig yourself an even bigger hole before then."
Ominis huffed a quiet laugh, shaking his head. "At this rate, I might just disappear into the ground entirely."
"Well," she teased, looping her arm through his. "I suppose I'll just have to pull you out, then."
His breath caught. He was certain now, no amount of faked confidence could compare to how she made him feel.
