You be the lines, I'll be the color” || Got to be this guy’s Valentine 8 years in a row & I wouldn’t have it any other way. Grateful that God gave me someone that can make the day special even if we have to be 100 miles away from one another. He is exactly what love is meant to be - patient, kind, non-resentful, he doesn’t keep record of wrongs. Most importantly, he always protects me, always trusts, always perseveres even when things look rough, & always hopes. He’s the little bit of gravity that pulls me back in when I begin to spiral. I don’t know how I managed to find someone who loves me so well but I’m forever grateful that I did. While we may not have gotten to go out & adventure together today, I know that we have SO many more adventures to come. There’s so many pages to be written in this fairytale we’ve been penning & I can’t wait to see where they take us. I found a boy who could make any simple thing so magical and I’m grateful that as he’s grown into the man of God I have now, he still can find a way to bring magic to every little thing. The amount of time I’ve spent in hospitals the last few weeks is unreal.To say it’s been a stress filled holiday season is the understatement of the century. But it’s that time again. The best momma on the planet goes in tomorrow morning for her next hip replacement. And I know she’s gonna rock it just like the last one. But if you’re the praying type, please say a prayer for the medical staff that will be performing the surgery & one for a quick, stress free, easy recovery for my mom. “I’m captivated by you baby like a fireworks show” I told you it was the month to celebrate this guy! We got to spend our fourth at a theme park (our brand, honestly) and then go hang out with some of our favorite people and watch fireworks. Today I got to celebrate the fact that he exists and it’s one of my favorite things (him existing AND celebrating it). Jeremy, thanks for still filling everyday with magic almost 6 years later. So grateful for you. You’re not only one of the most compassionate and caring humans I’ve had the pleasure of knowing, you’re also one of the goofiest, most hard working, loving guys on the planet. Not only do I love celebrating the fourth (honestly my third favorite holiday behind Christmas and Halloween), but it’s the month I get to spend celebrating my favorite guy. Wanna know another fun fact? Today is the 25th Birthday of one of our favorite places on the planet. The Boardwalk has always been full of such charm and whimsy. It had already stolen my heart from all my Disney trips and my time during my internship. Ahoy, matey! 🏴‍☠️ It’s talk like a pirate day. And in honor of that, I thought I’d share the time that Hook and Smee tried to kidnap little ole me! I think this is one of my favorite memories from my Disney Cruise. Wendy Darling has always been near and dear to my heart. I love a good story AND a good adventure, just like our favorite Wendy Bird! Getting to Disneybound as one of my favorite girls on pirate night, having quite the conversation with a Mr. Jack Sparrow at Castaway Cay earlier that day, talking to Peter about adventures and telling him stories, considering joining the ranks of Smee and Hook (but deciding my allegiance was with Peter and the lost boys, of course), getting to see fireworks out on the open seas, it was all a dream! There was definitely some pixie dust sprinkled on this day. I can not wait to do it again. Happy Earth Day, friends. And Happy Birthday to Animal Kingdom! 🌳 I was looking for something more “aesthetically pleasing” when I ran across this video. It was one of our last nights at the resort and we’d decided to go look through the night vision goggles. As you hear, most of the animals were already in bed. It made me giggle as I listened to our commentary and related to it today with this whole quarantine situation. You know it’s been too long when one of the first thoughts I had is, “the animals were in quarantine just like us.” Boy could I not be MORE excited for the day we get to go back and I get to say, “We spent our day on a Safari and now we get to go to Disney Springs for dinner.” But for now, I’ll look back on the memories and celebrate Mother Earth and one of my favorite place’s Birthday from my living room. “I should be glad I'm where I should be, but nothing is what it was. I didn't know he mattered to me but now I can see he does. Conman and princess get their wish and fairytale comes true.” || I’ve grown up loving Anastasia since I was little. As a child, I watched Anya go from a scared orphan to a courageous young woman who realized she always had that strength inside her. With a little push from two conmen turned friends, she found the courage that was always there. One thing I always admired was it wasn’t the leading man who saved the day in this story, it was Anya. I think that’s a good lesson every little girl needs to see. And I got to watch this story that helped shape me into the person I am come to life twice. Both nights, I laughed, I cried, and I grew to love and appreciate this story and my favorite Grand Duchess even more than I already had. It was definitely an experience I will cherish. Yes, some things never change, like the feel of your hand in mine.” || It’s been 6 years since I saw myself in a certain quirky and awkward princess from Arendelle. Anna was the perfect picture of bravery and loyalty wrapped up in a girl who is just trying to figure herself out. Yesterday I got to see the young woman she’d grown into. Still just as awkward, brave, and loyal but scared of outside circumstances and losing the ones she loves the most. To say I couldn’t relate anymore to her journey would be a lie. I’m still just like that awkward and quirky princess from Arendelle. But just like Anna, I’ve got people in my life to push me out of my comfort zone when I need that little nudge and I couldn’t be more grateful. Forever grateful for this story and I can not wait to see what happens on one of my favorite girl’s journeys next. Also thanks to my Kristoff for sticking by my side and going “into the unknown” with me yesterday. Something else Anna and I have in common is spoiling a few proposal attempts (oops 🤦🏼‍♀️) and I’m thankful this guy stuck around and didn’t stay “lost in the woods”.
