✨LEXA’S LEGACY✨ I just want to say that before the writers decided to kill off Lexa, this show was amazing & had the potential to be even greater if they kept her. But as much as Lexa’s death angers & saddens me. It’s such a bittersweet feeling because this tragedy led to an outcry from the LGBTQ+ community throughout the entire world, which led to a movement. And then, ClexaCon. It hurts to say this, but If it weren’t for Lexa’s death, we would’ve never had ClexaCon. Because of the LGBTQ+ community and the love everyone had for Lexa & Clarke, we now have a place to go, to come together, make friends, to meet our most loved actors, and just talk and celebrate all of our favorite LGBTQ+ ships & shows. Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Wynonna Earp, Arrow, Carmilla, One Day at a Time, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Lost Girl, Black Lightning, Marvel’s Runaways, Lucifer, The L Word, and so much more!! We have a HOME. And most of all, a FAMILY.
I just want to thank the fans & the people who helped organize ClexaCon. I also want to thank our beautiful, badass, talented Alycia Debnam-Carey & Eliza Taylor for portraying such ICONIC characters whom we all love so dearly. Lexa’s character was made for Alycia, and no one else. We love you, and thank you tremendously, and we wish you nothing but happiness and success. Lexa’s Legacy will live on FOREVER. And this family we have will continue to grow even more. We will continue to fight for our LGBTQ+ characters. For Love, equality, and better representation.
