Great opening night of the End of Year Show at Strode College. Loved showing my biggest fans around. Thanks team! Thrilled to get an award!!!!!
My End of Year exhibition at Strode College. ‘Discovering a New Moon.’ Lighting shows moonbeams and shadows.
Putting up my ‘Discovering a New Moon’ exhibition for the End of Year Show
Another lino print, with overprinting.
Lino printing. Overprinting and then blotting the overprinting to let the print below show through.
Four of my etchings on the moon. The etching were made using scratching, smudging, photo etching and my footprint using white ground. The prints were then floated on the etched frames. Frame etching matched the marks in the prints.
Etching the frames for my etching of the moon. I used dried grass dipped in white ground as a masking agent.
Completing my moon project. Letting the balloon down slowly then removing the it carefully with the cling film. Using a soldering iron I brunt holes in the tissue. The setting sun coming through my window made some brilliant shadows.
My multi-fold book with triple parquet binding. Cover moon images.
Made a multi-fold book with triple parquet binding. Covers are some moon printing I did earlier.
Made a ‘zig-zag within a zig-zag’ book with the text I had printed from the free machining done on dissolving fabric.
Text with free machining on dissolving fabric. Dissolve the fabric and then pin out the words so they dry and stiffen a little. Run through the printing press. Text is ‘Cold-hearted orb...’ by Moody Blues
My three crater dishes with scattered fragments and layered clays.
Close up images from my three large crater dishes. Broken pottery, carborundum, coins, sea glass and enamel scattered in the bottom of the dish before firing.
Making my Moon! I covered a giant helium balloon with cling film, tissue and then free machined craters. The craters were pre-stiffened and then once they were all pieced together on the sphere I treated them again with the stiffening product.
Love these images of the stripey clay bottom of my crater-like dishes.
