A new site that's dedicated to preserving the history of Carrie the musical!

Please go check it out! The Photo and Video archives are up and we're working on adding the audio archives as well. Also there'll eventually be a section with an in-depth history of the show!

Now that doesn't mean that this tumblr will go inactive, this will still be the place where I share new info; it's just that the website will store everything.

Happy 38th anniversary of the first performance of Carrie the Musical at the RSC Stratford Upon Avon!!

Stratford's anniversary is coming up so I thought it would be perfect to promote the celebration we're having in the Friends of Carrie server!

Carrie Stratford Closing Night Soundboard!

Crazy thing happened two days ago. I, along with a couple others, got to interview Scott deOgborn a trumpet player who played in the orchestra for Carrie. Here are a couple interesting tid-bits from the interview:

The music was super fun, and even though the changes every-night were complicated the orchestra had a lot of fun with it.

During one performance, as a joke the trumpet section wore pig noses during Out For Blood. The audience members who could see the pit died of laughter. They sadly got in trouble afterwards.

Blood would get in the uncovered section of the pit and the musicians had to wipe it off their instruments and stands.

After the closing of the show, there was a rumor going on in the pit that Carrie was only brought to New York so the producers could close it and get their money back.

Hey so update on the post I made, specifically the section on the Barbara Cook tapes.

I wanted to clear up any rumors about Erik's involvement because I made a neutral statement that he may or may not have leaked it, mainly because he was the one that uploaded it.

A friend of mine reached out to Erik and he confirmed that he didn't leak it. He doesn't know who did, he just received the video from someone else. He also revealed that he's dealt with leakers in the past. Part of the reason why he uploaded all of his Carrie content after someone leaked one of his videos he shared with them it onto their channel after he explicitly told them not to upload it.

Just clearing up those rumors. Also go support Erik he's the GOAT:
