did anyone else think rowans mental health deteriorating was going to be more of a plot point in the toll? Bc i feel like there were a lot of signs likee

him being made deadish constantly and the effect it was having on him

he was acting kinda wacky like trying to get the guards watching him to sing with him / saying i love you too to constantine / pointing at ppl on the way to his execution just to mess with them

he got hit hard on the head by something while sinking in the vault

 man the thunderhead was awed by the humans ability to make mistakes as he can’t and then gets blocked by greyson for possesing jeri and then the thunderhead gets so sad bc he made that mistake omg i dont know how to feeeel

im still thinking about The Toll and the actual lack of rowan damisch in it. my man had a whole 'rogue scythe rebel with a cause' arc to him and it was downplayed SO HARD.

yeah i feel like he didn’t have that much of an arc which sucks 

i was really looking forward to seeing more of his thought process and decisions as the plot was progressing bc he was so interesting and unpredictable in the first book

but alas. Also nothing really happened with the scythes at the end that were making him kill again he just kinda ditched even tho he said he couldn’t bc they had his family. 

He ended up just being passed around as a prisoner and escaping multiple times
